Chapter 1298 Greatest Heist In History
The pieces of flesh dropped by the Eye of Time were quite small relative to its size, barely a few hundred miles in diameter, the Eye of Time had ensured that it had been as efficient as possible during the operation, and the moment this piece of flesh was cut off from its realm, the power of Nemesis flooded it, and it turned gray.
When the Eye of Time had been suppressing the curse of Nemesis, there had not been many changes, but the moment it cut off this part, Nemesis was no longer hindered and like a flood it descended into this piece of flesh, seeking the one who had butchered its servants, the Primordial Keepers.
Rowan's gaze had been fixed on this piece of flesh and when the power of Nemesis reached its peak, he quickly sent his consciousness to Andar and Staff who were also cradled inside his palm,
"Have you completely gathered all the information you need?"
A swirling ball of lightning was hovering over Andar's palm that was filled with trillions of complex runes, he looked at it one last time and nodded,
"I have gathered everything, this realm contains the traces of so much higher dimensional immortals that if someone told me something like this could exist a moment ago, I would not have believed them. I have also gathered the Aura of every dead higher dimensional Magus, Titans, Demons, Celestials, and the myriad of races that had passed through the Frozen Road for multiple millennia... its a lot."
"Good, we would need all of those traces, what happened next cannot be pinned on us." Rowan's consciousness replied, as the vortex that led into the Great Desert became more defined, "You will have a limited window to act. Find the Lady of Shadows and share with her the Aura of everyone you have collected. Staff, you know what you need to do. A million years of preparation all hinges on the strength of your talent. Do not fail me."
The white-haired girl nodded, eyes shining with excitement, not concerned if she would fall short, the belief in her talents was supreme.
They both poised over the growing portal waiting, and when the sudden call came from Rowan's consciousness for them to move, they did not delay, their bodies vanishing into the portal, aided by the push from Rowan, and although he knew that this part of the plan was out of his hands, he still had confidence that they would not disappoint him.
At this moment the piece of flesh from the Eye of Time that had been thoroughly corrupted by Nemesis transformed as a dark presence arrived.
Rowan muttered in his heart, "So, the bait worked after all. What could be more interesting than consuming a fragment of a fragment of a Primordial?"
Transferring the deaths of the Primordial Keepers to the Eye of Time so that Nemesis could attack the fragment of the Primordial was not to weaken the Eye as Rowan had led it to believe, he had other methods for doing such things, the real reason he did that was because he needed a bait that was luxurious enough that it would draw out Nemesis from the Great Desert.
There was a possibility that if Rowan made this move on anyone else, it would be disregarded by Nemesis, and it would send down its consciousness but that would be it, but if the perpetrator was interesting enough and powerful enough, then it should be enough to draw out Nemesis, and as it turned out, he was right.
The piece of flesh from the Eye of Time was a considerable distance away from Rowan, but it was not far enough that he could not feel the crushing dread and the weight of forgetfulness as Nemesis entered this realm.
Its presence was formless, even with the perception of Rowan, he could barely decipher traces of its form, just multiple cold eyes and limbs that did not make any
sense.
The gaze of this creature did not fall on anywhere in the realm but the piece of Primordial flesh in its hands and then it screamed, it was silent yet incredibly loud at the same time, and Rowan was able to catch a hint of its appearance, its face was eerily similar to a bat, yet also humanoid at the same time.
It was an utterly alien visage, but Rowan could still detect the flash of greed inside its eyes.
Signaling to Andar and Staff on his palm, he pushed them into the Great Desert and he sighed, cracking his neck,
"Here goes nothing," Rowan entered the fray. If he wanted things to go his way, he needed to make sure he was on top of the situation.
The Great Desert was filled with memories of every dead civilization in existence, but it was primarily made to keep the Memories of higher dimensional immortals in place to avoid them being resurrected in reality outside. Rowan believed that it was a creation of the Primordials to keep the higher dimensional immortals in check. For higher dimensional immortals, just their names being known by anyone would be enough to bring them back to life. It was the reason why higher dimensional immortals could remain dead after their Essence, Wills, and Souls were destroyed. Memories on the other hand could not be easily destroyed because it was spread across time and destroying every piece of it would require a nearly infinite amount of energy so the Great Desert acted like a giant black hole and would drag in any memory of a higher dimensional immortal whose memories had become untethered from their essence, soul and spirit.
It was said that for mortals, the last thing they saw before they died was a bright light at the end of the tunnel, for higher dimensional immortals, they all saw the Great Desert, and Rowan had managed to lure its keeper out of their post.

The Eye of Time and Gothran'Inul were attempting to stop the resurrection of Thenos because they thought that this was a possibility, but they were wrong. Rowan had ensured that they believed that this was a possibility.
Usually, for higher dimensional immortals, there was a small part of their essence or soul left after they died that they could use for their resurrection. A case in point was Gothran Inul, whose body that contained a bit of his essence had been preserved long enough to allow his eventual resurrection, and it was this tiny bit of Essence that kept his memory safe from the Great Desert.
It was the same situation they believed was happening with Thenos, he had an eternal realm after all, but they were both wrong.
Thenos was far too dangerous to be left with any path to resurrection, and the Primordial who killed him had ensured that no single stand of his soul, spirit, or essence was left, but the Eye of Time and Gothran'Inul did not know about this, if they did they would not panic that Thenos was about to be resurrected, without his
Memory, Thenos was never waking up.
Rowan needed to resurrect Thenos but to do that he needed access to his Memories locked inside the Great Desert he could not enter the Desert and collect those memories if Nemesis was present, and a greater part of this plan was to draw out
Nemesis.
From the moment he knew the function of the Great Desert, Rowan had a portion of his consciousness devoted to finding out how to break it, the World Stele gave him enough inspiration to complete his daring plan.
