Chapter 209: Fist's Trial
Chapter 209: Fist's Trial
"Oh, Seth, I will wait for you here!" Sapna was disappointed.
'Hourglass Team is the team name!' Seth wondered as he stormed out from the canyon.
Rudra and Mansa wanted to ask for a bloodline but they decided to know where they could fuse it in them first. Juma, Rena, Zero, and Ash were interested in what the trial will be.
James has fallen in love with his Pride Beast Bloodline, he felt like 10 million unions will not be enough as its value. Zambia wasn't interested in bloodlines but in the Moon Crystal. He can grind it to grain and use it in his Hourglass.
Soon, they took a detour around the forest without going close to it. In fact, they seemed to not notice it at all and reached Vela cave.
"This is the place I guided Blast Dragon and they seem to have a very good reunion with the dragon that owned this place!" Seth explained.
"Another Dragon Sanctuary?" Zero asked with complicated emotions. He is jealous.
"Yes!" Seth said with certainty, "But they seemed to have been absent recently!"
Standing outside the cave, Seth looked at Fist with a kind smile, "My dear friend, please go and take your vial. I assure you, the dragon was not present!"
Seth appeared humble and kind, but Fist's blood was boiling in excitement and also a tad fear of the unknown. He brought out Moon Crystal Seth gave him yesterday and slammed it at Seth's chest, thankfully Seth was fast to shift his armour to defend the slam.
"You seem to get irritated pretty fast lately. Did Dark Void corrupt you?" Fist asked before he added, "Nevertheless, I got what I want!" He then stormed into the cave.
Seth summoned his shield and followed him with a smile. The others were too ready for a fight. The moment they reached the large space of the cave, they were shocked.
"What the hell…?" Zambia cursed, "Hey, I thought we are here for riddles and mind games!"
James was disappointed but still afraid. Continue reading at m|v-l'e-NovelFire
"You are a brute bloodliner, I believe this will be a piece of cake. the red core is mine!" Seth said humbly.
"Gawee Monster, that's impossible to kill without crushing the core or cracking it," Zambia said and the players nodded.
Growl!
The Gawee Monster seemed to wake up from its stupor and it turned around and glared at them.
Its soft white fur and flexible muscles wiggle, and its bear-like four legs adjusted its posture. Its red eyes became chilling, and it opened its sharp teeth at them, and then at the one in front of it. Fist.
"Should we leave to give you more space or you can dominate it at the corner!" Seth asked genuinely, wondering.
The cave was large enough to contain 40 to 50 normal humans size but in a fight where large bodies clashed it would seem cramped.
"There is no map or drawing on walls or even on the floor. Shall we dig?" Ash asked.
"No. The place is empty." Rudra said, Rena and Zero, nodded before they added, "The vial is inside the monster's stomach!"
"Ah, that was fast!" Seth was disappointed before he turned around and left the cave. He knew the battle would not be easily won because he had selected a very powerful monster. As he used the bloodline to lure it from a distance.
And the moment the monster didn't see him. It pounced at Fist. The player grew in size very fast and faced it head-on.
"Shall we help him!" Rudra asked Zambia. But the leader was silent as he watched the fight that was heating up.
At the first clash, the Monsters had the advantage of size and power but soon, Fist size increased and became half-bear. His arms became longer, his legs robust, and his ears developed round ears and fangs like a bear then brown fur on his body. His attire seemed to merge with him and aided him in his transformation. Now he stood 2.3m tall.
He picked up the monster and slammed it against the wall, then he stomped on it with his robust leg. The monster's whole rib cage broke in but the monster twisted its inhuman flexibility and escaped. Still, Fist cornered it and began delivering blows on its head, and then he tried to tear its mouth away and peer inside its stomach.
He was successful but then the flesh and inside of the monster wiggled and wrapped him up, jag teeth revealed at the edges of the flesh and began to gnaw on him, the bear hide had some toughness but when the monster concentrated, its fang began to sink inside.
Whatever kind of injury as long as they were made from Gawee Monster, was detrimental.
Seth now knew why and it was because they feed on the aura and other essences from the body of a lifeform, be it human or animal.
Ash was about to help but Zambia stopped him. Before Fist was wounded, crocodile hide manifested where the teeth were gnawing.
That increased Fist power, he used both hands and grabbed the whole wiggling flesh mess and pulled them away from his body, but the monster behaved like a leech and stuck to him, until it was strained and let go of some part.
Fist delivered a blow and pulled it off completely from his body before he threw it away from him.
Midair, the Monster twirled its muscles and innards and rearranged into its fur beast form. But by doing so, Fist saw the Vial and the red core of the monster.
That enraged him and he pounced on it, with more power and then another bout of strength began.
"This will take forever!" James said with a grimace. Fist seemed to have an advantage in strength but the monster was far more flexible than any rubber. It can also construct and deconstruct its body. And every time it did that, Fist body reduced in power.
"The more you fight them the more you weaken!" Juma said with a frown, "We shall help him!"
"That bad idea!" Mansa said, "Seth knew what he was doing. We aren't meant to help him!"
"Why?" Zambia asked.
"The vial is with the core, and if the monster realizes we will attack it or if it senses more danger than It was feeling, It will explode the red core and initiate an evolution. Even if we use range ability to attack, it may do that!"
"Explained more!" Zambia asked now concerned.
The Gawee Monster was very close to its evolution, it only needed more biomass and essence and a lot of water. Instinctively it knew the vial contained something that would guarantee it evolving to Gawee Beast and even possibly reaching the next stage, so it would guard the vial with its life.
That was why it pushed the vial to its core, a dangerous thing to do, normally. The monster was smart enough to explode the core in the hope of breaking the vial and taking a chance of evolving. Even though there was less than a 2% chance of succeeding. Regardless, that decision will be a last resort if it knows it will truly be killed.
Zambia sighed and walked out and then the rest followed him. That was when the Gawee Monster stopped holding back and truly tried to consume Fist.
"This Trial is dangerous, Seth. Do you think he can succeed!" Zambia asked, now worried. He can already feel the monster was going wild with power and Fist was now trying to even survive.
"Most one succeeded in all tests, trials, and examinations?" Seth asked dismissively. He was serious about the trial, it's not a game, and if they failed, they failed and intended to keep at that until they won.
Hourglass group now truly understands Seth was not joking at all.
Bang!
Bang!
Boooom!
"Ahhhhh!" Fist roared in agony before a violent tremor shook the cave. Soon, he began to lose all reason and his power increased to survive the monster.
The players stood outside in trepidation. This was serious, the battle was real and if Fist was too injured there will be long scars on his game avatar. Some of them have experienced something like that before.
Zero, Rena's brother was now very apprehensive, he knew now that Seth will not be a good opponent to cross and the player wasn't the only one entertaining that thought.
The cave entrance began to shake and cracked as the silhouette of two beasts were trying to kill each other. Soon they were halfway out, Gawee Monster was uninjured but Fist was bleeding from his back and chest. His eyes were red in frenzy.
Roar! They all roar and plunge at each other, sharp claws from the bear man tear the monster but it heals the next moment, while the monster bites Fist's neck but it becomes hard as stone with a rough texture.
Fist slammed the monster's head repeatedly on the wall but for nothing, and the monster twisted in flesh. Its posterior became its head and what Fist held was now the posterior.
Then the battle intensified as they came out under the sun, Fist kept getting enraged and that stimulated his bloodline to stay at the top.
