Chapter 1089 - I Know What Kind Of Clothes You Wear.
The rest of the working hours passed by as Jiang Yuyan had nothing to do. She didn’t wish to argue with the stubborn guy in her cranky condition, as it would only worsen her condition.
Feeling bored and weak, she went back to the lounge and fell asleep.
The medicines Xiao Min gave her made her feel asleep for so long that she didn’t wake up even if the moon set in the dark starry sky.
She woke up in the dimly lit room where she saw Lu Lijun fall asleep on the couch while sitting and resting his head at the backrest.
She didn’t know what to say to him. She checked the time, and it was late—only half an hour left to start the next day.
Getting out of the bed, she carried the quilt to cover him as it was cold in the room.
Just as she was about to put it on him, Lu Lijun opened his eyes and stared at her. For a moment, he thought it was a dream as his sleepy eyes made the image in front of him blurry to believe it was real.
He raised his hand just a little up to touch her, and she spoke, "Are you awake?"
It made him realize it was not a dream and retreated his hand, or he didn’t know what he was up to and must have regretted it later.
Getting back to his senses, Lu Lijun sat straight and nodded to what she said.
"It’s late. You should have gone home," she said, taking that quilt back to her bed.
Lu Lijun ignored what she said and stood up. "Come to have dinner," he instructed.
Jiang Yuyan put the quilt on the bed and went after him. Lu Lijun had already started heating food in the microwave.
Seeing the quantity of food, Jiang Yuyan said, "Don’t tell me you are yet to have dinner and wait for me."
"I had a late lunch, so I was not hungry," Lu Lijun replied.
"Where is Xiao Min?" she asked.
"I sent him home," he replied and instructed again, "You slept for long. Go get fresh first."
Jiang Yuyan agreed to this and went to the bathroom.
The moment he heard the sound of the bathroom door closed, he put the pot in his hand down and exhaled while resting his hand on the kitchen platform and closed his eyes.
Lu Lijun remembered how his heart beat faster when he saw her the moment he opened his eyes and how his hand moved up to touch her. He didn’t know what happened at that time, but for a moment, he wished to c.a.r.e.s.s her, pull her towards him to get her in his embrace, hug her tightly to not let her go away. Or might wanted to do something more.
When he realized it was not a dream and she was there for real, Lu Lijun didn’t dare to look into her eyes. He never felt like this, but for the past few days, something had changed inside him. To him, she was more than just a woman who cared for him and looked after his family. She was more than what he thought of her.
"Are you not feeling well?" she asked, seeing how he stood leaning at the kitchen platform.
Lu Lijun still didn’t turn to look at her and replied, "Sit there! Food is almost ready."
Jiang Yuyan sat at the dining table. Lu Lijun brought the heated food and put it on the table as he removed the kitchen glows. Jiang Yuyan was about to touch one pot; Lu Lijun held her hand.
"It’s hot," he said, "You sit quietly. I’ll do it."
Jiang Yuyan noticed Lu Lijun looked serious. From the moment he woke up, he looked silent, and his face was cold.
Lu Lijun sat in the chair opposite Jiang Yuyan, starting to serve the food.
"Did something happen?" she asked, looking at him.
While busy serving food, he replied, "Nothing."
"Then, are you tired?" she asked.
"Might be," he replied.
Jiang Yuyan realized she was right. Suddenly Lu Lijun turned into a man of few words, which meant there was something that bothered him.
’Just like his brother!’ she thought and smiled slightly at the similarity between the two brothers, which reminded her of Lu Qiang.
"You can start eating," Lu Lijun instructed.
Jiang Yuyan did so and spoke, "You should go home and rest nicely. You can be late for the office tomorrow."
"You are coming with me too, and we both can be late."
"I can’t be late," she said.
"I took care of the things for tomorrow. There is nothing much to do tomorrow," he countered, all serious and focused on food.
"Still, I’ll stay here. It’s not an unknown place for me," she said.
"As you wish," he said.
"Why are you sleeping here?" She asked, feeling surprised.
"I never said I’d go home," Lu Lijun replied.
Jiang Yuyan understood this stubborn guy wouldn’t go home without her, so she spoke, "Let’s go home."
The next moment Lu Lijun stood up, "Hmm, let’s go."

The two reached home late in the night, and no one was around. As they went towards the staircase, Jiang Yuyan looked at it and sighed inwardly. Her weak body hated climbing two floors.
Just as she took the first step of the staircase, she was in the air.
"What are you doing?" Jiang Yuyan exclaimed, trying to keep her voice low, not willing to wake up others.
"You should not exert much," Lu Lijun said, continuing to climb the stairs.
"Put me down fast," she said in a low voice.
Lu Lijun smiled lightly, seeing how she talked in a low voice as if she was a thief.
"It’s fine,’’ he said."
"This time, my legs are fine," she said and shook her legs to make it difficult for him, and he would keep her down.
"Stop moving, or I’ll throw you down on the hard floor," he warned.
His warning worked as she didn’t wish to herself by bumping on the floor.
As they reached the second floor, Jiang Yuyan spoke, "Now out me down."
Lu Lijun didn’t listen and carried her to her bed, took off her sandals, and held the quilt to cover her. He was so fast even to let her say a word.
"Sleep quietly now," he ordered coldly.
"You go out, please. I can’t sleep in these clothes," she said.
Lu Lijun realized she wore the same dress that he gave her in the noon and went to her wardrobe.
"Don’t open my wardrobe," she exclaimed.
"I already saw what kind of clothes you wear, so keep quiet," he replied, mentioning the tiny clothes he had to put for Jiang Yuyan in her bathroom in the office.
Jiang Yuyan turned embarrassed and had nothing to say to this cold guy.
