Chapter 1306  Will Of Elder (2)

The Lady of Shadows vividly remembered the last conversation she had with Rowan about his grand plans in the Great Desert, the madman had looked at her and grinned, his eyes shining with a lovely glow that would entrance anyone in its beauty, and for a brief moment, even Eva was shaken, and then he had given her only a simple answer, as he showed her one of his Wills and its descriptor.

WILL GAINED: Will of Elder [Level 0 - Activate(0/7)

The Primordial Beast were not feared because of their power, but their potential. Their bodies were powerful enough to shatter all of creation, but their true strength lay in a collective Will titled the Will of Elder, that grows stronger with every living Primordial Beast in existence. You are the last living Primordial Beast and this Will is dormant.

Combining the power of a Primordial Beast and an evolving dimension has resurrected this ancient Will, but there is something different about it. Something heretical.

"What do you think my Lady of Shadows… Will anyone see this coming?"

The entire reason behind this great work being conducted inside the desert was related to that last paragraph, which was about the heretical nature of the Elder's Will.

At first, Rowan had been confused about how he could resurrect such a Will that had its path to the higher dimensions cut off. There was no longer any living Primordial Beast in existence, and with the Primordial Ouroboros the only one of its kind, it was a Will that was all but useless.

Was his Primordial Ouroboros condemned to have a Will that was not even activated for their entire existence?

The nature of the Primordial Ouroboros dictated that as long as they lived and consumed, they would grow stronger and live longer, it meant that they did not truly need Wills to become exceptionally powerful in the future, furthermore, his Ouroboros Serpents had merged with his Chaos World Engine which meant seeding worlds contributed to their growth, making their already limitless potential even more frightening, but Rowan believed that there were more to this Will that met the eye, especially the last part of that sentence that described it.

Something had changed about this Will, and perhaps its path to the future was very different than what he had first anticipated. Rowan pondered on this for a while, and the answer came to him in time, and then even that answer became something else when he considered the possibilities that he could take with it.

All of this led him to an earnest preparation, a preparation that had led him here.

Eva looked at her left and right palm one last time, and closing her eyes, she activated the runic formation,

"Let this day become the first of your rise… Let all reality tremble before your coming!"

The Primordial Ouroboros Serpents must have heard her as they roared, the sound from them tearing this dimension apart.

Eva did not know for how long Rowan could keep the attention of Nemesis out of the Great Desert, but every second she had here was precious.

Every third-dimensional universe had a connection with the Great Desert, and to make this plan succeed, Rowan had sacrificed his connection to this place, he had literally ripped a portion of his dimensional flesh that had the greatest connection to the desert and he had set it here to be used as an outpost into this place.

There was a chance that he might never get back this piece of himself, and if this plan went bad and there was no way he could leave with his prize, Eva was charged to make sure this piece of his dimensional flesh was destroyed so there could be no traces linking it to him.

Whatever was going to be happening, whether in the reality outside or inside the Great Desert, the fallout would be monumental, and Rowan was already planning ahead to push the blame away from him after all there were many scapegoats out in reality would wish to be the one to break the Great Desert.

As the plan began, Eva was already cleaning house, the Primordial Ouroboros Serpents were destroying the home they had hidden themselves for the last million years, whether they succeeded or failed, these creatures would no longer be hidden.

At the spot above the Great Desert where Andar and Staff had previously vanished inside the vortex, space rippled and a massive phantom of the Lady of Shadows appeared above the desert, and her gaze swept through the entirety of the desert.

Her presence made the light of the thousand suns above dim, and she soundlessly brought up both of her palms upwards, before she muttered an unknown phrase as she pressed her right hand to the sands and her left hand to the suns above.

For a moment there was stillness and then from her left palm that faced the sky, massive black wings that had tentacles growing out of them, a symbol of Andar's Light Devourer appeared, and from her left hand that faced the earth, the body of Staff appeared but magnified a billion times over until she was hundreds of miles tall, and her long white hair was like a storm cloud that drifted behind her.

The Lady of Shadows vanished with the winds, her body twisting into another reality as the wings of Andar's Light Devourer began to spread out and upwards, his darkness reaching for the thousand suns in the sky as it drank all the light and heat from everything, and below Staff grunted as the weight of holding the formation responsible for this act was driving her to her knees.

The ground had begun transforming into ice that was spreading for miles with startling speed.

The back of Staff was bending but she growled and held on for as long as possible before she sighed and chuckled weakly, as a thought flashed through her mind, 'In my position, how long would he have lasted?'

She sighed as she manifested her staff and twirled it around before slamming one end onto the frozen sand.

The staff was about nine feet tall in its base form but now it was hundreds of miles long, and its shape was not that different from what it was a million years ago, the only primary difference now was that it no longer had the sheen of metal, instead, it seemed to be carved out of wood, and instead of nine circles of glowing runes, now there were twenty-seven, and they were inlaid on the staff like growth ring on a tree.

She had gained nine more rings when she became a fourth-dimensional immortal, and another nine when she became a fifth.

When she slammed the staff on the sand, she began to straighten, using the staff as support, and before long she was standing tall, the burden of holding not just a piece of Rowan's dimension, his Primordial Ouroboros Serpents and the great runic formation whose weight was constantly growing as Andar's wings spread wider all rested on her shoulder, but she stood tall, and there was no hint of struggle on her body, her body drinking every forces that was exerted on it.

Staff had a talent that could perfectly channel all forms of energy, and that was the reason she could hold up all these weights that were heavier than multiple universes on her shoulders alone, she was simply channeling them into her staff, and when the time was right, she could unleash them all.

On her Staff, ring after ring was lighting up and as she noted the rate of progression, amazement flashed through her eyes, although she was the one channeling all this weight, it was still astonishing nonetheless to see a visual representation of what she was bearing.

As the darkness covered the desert, the weight of the formation had gone beyond abnormal to insane, but Staff was perhaps the only fifth dimensional immortal in all of reality who could handle all of this weight in this manner.

Looking upwards at Andar, she knew she did not need to speak because from the formation linking both of them, he already knew everything she knew, but she still whispered, "I can hold all of this up for three seconds, you better be done with your task by then or all of this is going down."
