Chapter 1301 I Hold Your Chains

The glow in Rowan's eyes increased in intensity as with every passing moment more golden sands fell into the lower half of the hourglass and time reversed itself, the hundred lightning blades inverted their path, traveling backward and after reaching a certain point, they regressed to a single blade, and then the blade shot back towards its origin.

"Hmm... What is that?"

The Eye of Time had noticed the changes happening below it, the anomaly in time could not be hidden and despite the fact that it had focused nearly its entire attention on devouring Thenos, a faint premonition of danger began to arise from its consciousness.

A few more heads turned towards Rowan as purple lightning bloomed inside their eyes as the Eye of Time fired several salvos of its lightning blade spell to completely crush the extremely annoying abomination, but Rowan was struck with another idea, without much thought about its implications, simply unleashed it.

The area around his body for millions of miles was under the domain of his time abilities, this was a vast distance, however in such a higher dimensional realm like Doom Star, a distance of millions of miles could as well be a few hundred miles, and with the range of merely millions of miles, this ability could not entirely express its potential.

Rowan had 33,000 streams of time within his soul, and he was curious what would happen if he decided to unleash all of them to accompany the Time Reversal ability. His soul resonated with his wishes and the streams of time, traveling through his consciousness pillars entered his dimensional flesh, and a massive blast erupted from his body,

"Boom!"

This blast was like an accelerant to the time reversal field around Rowan's body and it. bubbled as the field began to expand dramatically before it suddenly exploded.

The lightning blades heading towards Rowan were caught in this expanding field of time reversal and they paused before they began to revert to their origin, the Eye of Time could barely scream out its outrage before it was caught under the influence of Time Reversal that had bloomed for tens of millions of miles.

At first, there seemed not to be much changes, the Eye of Time which was in the shape of a halberd was not affected by this field of Time Reversal, but the body of the titan was, and the massive mouth that had swallowed the body of the infant nearly to the waist at this point began to spit it out.

Despite the power of Rowan's Time Reversal ability that had been broadened by the 33,000 Time Streams, it should not have had any effect on the Eye of Time because of the differences in their state of being, but the titan although possessed still had limited control of his body, and he was permitting his flesh to obey the power of Rowan's Time Reversal.

The rage in the heart of the Eye of Time had reached a peak that was beyond the comprehension of most in existence, and became silent as it watched the legs of

Thenos exit the mouth of the titan.

It simply brought the halberd closer to its shell, turned around, and launched its body towards Rowan, no longer wishing to have this thorn by its side, it was not going to stop until Rowan was dead. Leading with the halberd, the Eye of Time tore a rift through the Time Reversal Domain.

Watching the massive titan wreathed by purple lightning hurtle towards him like a cataclysm, Rowan readied himself and whispered to the realm, knowing that the World Stele would hear him, not waiting for its response, Rowan dug deep into his soul and body, he summoned the Destroyer Apollyon, even as he triggered small burst of Ascension in his body,

"Abomination..." a massive river of foam and yellow saliva poured out from the multiple mouths of the titan as he neared Rowan, traveling at ridiculous speeds, "Insect... Die!"

The halberd swung towards Rowan, carrying more force than what the Eye of Time had used to tear the mother in two.

Rowan did not run or he would die, this danger he would have to face. Quicker than the eye of an immortal could follow, the titan slammed into Rowan, and in their clash, everything went white, and reality was parted in two, a dull roar like a universe crying out in death throes resounded as a massive shockwave rippled out from the point of contact between these two powerhouses.

In this clash, Rowan had been the one to lose, and the reality that parted was simply a result of his body being launched back with so much force that the reality of Doom Star had been torn by his body under the unreasonable force from the blow of the Eye of Time.

Rowan found himself billions of miles away, on one knee, nearly every bone in his body had been crushed to powder, but this was the best outcome he could have hoped for in the previous clash.

There was no visible wound on the surface of his flesh, but within him was an endless array of devastation that was being brought back to order so quickly that it was

uncanny.

His Essence and Aether had been depleted by nearly seventy percent in that single blow, but with every moment that passed, they returned...

Brief moments had scarcely passed and he barely had the time to adjust to what had happened before instinct made him bring his Destroyer to the side and another clash turned reality white.

Finding himself billions of miles away, his body that had barely put itself back together in order had been brought to the threshold of ruin once more, as his Essence and Aether had bottomed out, barely left with a single-digit percentile in both of those power sources.

His Acther and Essence shot up from 3% to 27% as a moment passed, to 45%, but the breath of danger was so close and Rowan knew that another blow of that magnitude would destroy his body in its entirety, and instead of pulling back, he grinned, as his eyes that were vibrating in his skull as he processed reality around him with a feverish pace that would make the minds of higher dimensional immortals explode, fixed on a single location, and Rowan no longer defended, instead he attacked, launching himself towards the Eye of Time.

The Eye of Time was approaching so quickly that when Rowan attacked, their movements could not be perceived, but they crossed each other in midair before they both stopped at the same time.

Rowan and the titan turned around and looked at each other, the distance between them was barely a million miles.

A terrible wound had nearly cut Rowan in two from the waist and his left hand was hanging loose from his body, and in the wound was traveling the malevolent energy of Pain.

The body of the titan, on the other hand, was almost free of any damage except a thin line that wound its way through dozens of its heads, the Eye of Time growled, some of his heads were frowning, some laughing, some crying, but when he spoke the voices that came out of his many mouths were perfectly balanced,

"I shall kill you Abomination. No matter how much you fight it, your fate is already written."

In response, for the first time since this skirmish began, Rowan brought up the blade of the Destroyer and showed it to the Eye of Time, it simply resembled a great sword that lacked any sort of embellishment, and then he turned the blade so the flat could face the titan, and he said,

"To kill me, you must first get past my blade..."

With those words, heavy black chains exploded from the blade, all of them were Will Chains, and crossing the distance between Rowan and the titan, the Will Chains connected to the cuts made by the destroyer as they plunged into the flesh of the titan, and the Eye of Time was frozen in place, held bound by the power of the Will Chains.

It attempted to move its shell, but more Will Chains kept erupting from the great sword, plunging deeply into the body of the titan, until even moving its shell a single inch became nearly impossible,

... You have forgotten something crucial," Rowan growled as he pulled on his destroyer, launching the titan towards him, as he activated billions of spells from celestial to demonic on his left hand, forming a fist with it,

"I hold your fucking chains!"
