Chapter 1296 Attacking Thenos
Rowan's entire consciousness was tensed up, not everything had been going according to plans, and even the margin of error that he had put in place had been stretched far past their limits.
He knew that the Eye of Time would have weapons that he was not aware of, but he never thought that it would have an entire Old One living inside of it. Gothran'Inul was a wildcard that could shatter his entire plans, and although the pressure from this titan had led to the elevation of his bloodline, Rowan did not crave such a thing since he preferred that the future direction of his powers should be fully controlled by him, and such random spikes of power should be reduced to a minimum.
Although on shaky foundations, the plan remained on track, and now it was time for his partner to show off its worth or Rowan would begin house cleaning.
Embedding the three books into the flesh of his palm, Rowan suddenly crouched and braced himself as a massive shockwave erupted from the heavens and swept past the realm, shattering space for countless miles. He could feel the foundation of the realm shaking, nearly being thrown out of this space, but he must have underestimated the powers of the World Stele because the space holding the realm withstood this power and held strong.
This was very important because everyone would easily connect the disappearance of Doom Star and the eradication of the Frozen Road, and if this realm were blasted from this area this early, there was nowhere Rowan would be able to flee fast enough before he was caught.
Despite his unreasonable weight, Rowan was nearly blown away from the shockwaves and the spatial collapse, and his feet dug billions of miles into the earth.
In the present state of Doom Star, this meant that his feet had penetrated through thousands of massive green eyes up to his knees, making them explode in a flood of gore. Ignoring their shrieks of pain, Rowan strained to follow what was happening up above.
Below him, the silver horde that was standing in place after being drained of its essence, a monument of the resurrection of the titan Gothran'Inul, were all shattered into pieces and blown away into the cracks in space. If the titan previously had any plans for the silver horde then it was now considered meaningless as he was chasing for something much more valuable.
The cause of this explosion that shook the entire realm was simple, blasted from Rowan's body, Gothran'Inul had rapidly stitched himself together and the titan ignoring Rowan had attacked Thenos who was on the verge of awakening. There was no discussion, no attempt to negotiate, and Gothran'Inul attacked with the intent to kill. The resurrection of Thenos could not be allowed.
Unlike Rowan whom the titan could afford to toy with, Thenos was someone that he could not match, even with the assistance of the Eye of Time.
Thenos was an extremely special Old One, who even before his birth, had already possessed an Eternal Realm that had formed around his shocked mothers, not even accounting for the fact that a Singularity had descended on him, impacting this child with unknown powers and transforming the path of his growth into something unknown.
He had not participated in the war against the Primordials, but his neutral stance was still futile since the end result was that he was still attacked and killed inside his realm. The death of Thenos amongst many others that had sought to stay out of that war had made it clear to all that the Primordials were gunning for everyone in reality.
There was no record of the amount of Primordial Essence that Thenos must have swallowed before he was killed since he was one of the earlier immortals to ever exist, but it must have been a lot because even the discarded heads of his mothers had
contained multiple droplets of Primordial Essence.
Gothran'Inul might have been killed by a Celestial Throne, but he heard whispers that a Primordial had to descend in order to kill Thenos because he had slaughtered every single threat that had been sent against him, and he was not even born yet, still a child that had not come into the full range of his powers.
Thenos eternal realm was a death trap to all who entered, and it was said that every inch of this realm was filled with a mountain of bodies before he was struck down by the Primordials.
According to the whispers, he was dragged screaming from his mother's womb, and tortured for an ungodly amount of years, and before he was killed, the heads of his mothers were cut off, and used to create a road, and then every single droplet of Primordial Essence was extracted from his flesh and his realm, and his head was sliced off.
There was a rumor that in an unknown layer of the Great Abyss, there was a massive head of a child that burned like a star, and this head could be that of Thenos.
Rowan was rated quite high in the mind of Gothran'Inul, but he did not consider him to be capable of properly wielding Primordial Essence, making whatever threat he posed nothing but child's play.
One of the greatest reasons that the Primordials were able to thoroughly destroy every opposition on their way to the top was the sublime control they had over Primordial Essence.
Every droplet of Primordial Essence meant an infinite amount of power and potential, and unless you were a higher dimensional immortal that had reached at least the seventh level, you were not even qualified to touch Primordial Essence, because holding one droplet was equal to holding infinity.
Even if you became worthy of holding infinity, then the question was if your mind was capable of moulding it into the shape you desired. Chaos had been able to create a system that spanned the entirety of reality using a single droplet of Primordial Essence, this was something that only a Primordial was capable of achieving.
Primordials, more than any beings in existence, were capable of controlling Primordial Essence in an intricate manner that no one else could rival. There had been multiple beings in the long history of existence that had the chance to match against. the Primordials in terms of strength, but they were outmatched when Primordial Essence came into play.
During a battle between such powerful entities, a Primordial could spend a single Primordial Essence while their opponents were spending, ten, or even hundreds at a time to match that single Essence unleashed by that Primordial. Gothran'Inul attacked without hesitation because he knew that Rowan, despite his powers, did not have the capacity to wield Primordial Essence, but Thenos did, and his control over Primordial Essence was higher than his own, the greatest threat here was the Eye of Time whose control over Primordial Essence would match those of a Primordial. Gothran'Inul knew that the only chance of salvation was to claim all the Essence for himself and escape; if the Eye of Time could gain access to it, then eternal slavery to the Eye would be the best outcome he would face.
The shock wave that erupted from that attack had subsided and Rowan could finally see the result of that attack, and it was horrific.
Gothran'Inul had struck with his thousand hands which were coated with massive sheathings of silver ice, where each ice crystal that made up that sheath was miles long and resembled the arachnid horde that had once worshiped him for countless eternities.
He had been targeting Thenos, but even in death, the body of his mothers had wrapped around the healing child. Her legs, and arms folded around her stomach to protect him, and that body had borne the brunt of the blow.
Massive chunks of flesh and blood exploded from the body of the Mothers, there was so much gore that it could drown a universe, but despite how powerful this blow turned out to be, the damage to the Mothers was not as devastating as it might have first appeared after the shockwaves and the flood of gore had passed. Rowan at this time was the size of an average third-dimensional universe, and Gothran'Inul was five times his size, but the body of the Mothers was a hundred times the size of Gothran'Inul.
Size was a major component that dictated the power of a being who cultivated along the pathway of Core, and this was another display of the incredible depth of Thenos.
So much flesh and blood had been blasted out by the titan's blow but it hardly went beyond the skin, and to reach his target, he would have to dig through multiple universes worth of flesh, bone, and blood, and it was uncertain that he would be able to succeed in time before Thenos completed his assimilation of the Primordial Essence.
Cursing in fury, Gothran'Inul did not care that he was being maintained by Aether, a power source that was too weak for him to unleash his full strength and he burned his flesh, instantly dispersing a hundred of his arms so he could use them as fuel, as his body exploded with potential, burning silver bright.
