Chapter 1266 Strength Check
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Although there really wasn't any point to what order Valyr absorbed the remaining skill books he had in his spatial bracelet, some of the skill books he had did affect how much further he could tolerate the mental pressure absorbing the books brought.
With that, it was no surprise that he proceeded to absorb the skill books making up [Unearthed Innate Potential] first, going through them one by one before eventually fusing them with the help of the system.

[You have gained the passive skill 'Unearthed Innate Potential'.]
Having already gone through the mental anguish of fusing multiple skills together to form the same passive skill, Valyr found it more than simple to go through it all over again.
Adding on the fact that he had given himself more than enough time to rest after going on a skill absorption spree, the young man showed no hesitation in moving onto the two skill books he had that boosted his regeneration rates.

Realizing that he'd finally absorbed a total of 10 skill books in a row, Valyr decided to take a short break in order to give his mind a bit of reprieve from the strain the skill books brought him.
Though, once he took a look outside the window and realized that it had already turned to night without him knowing, the young man decided to head to sleep instead, allowing him to wake up hours later with a fresh and clear mind.
After grabbing a quick plate of breakfast from the inn's restaurant, Valyr soon returned to his room before absorbing all of the mastery and affinity skill books he'd left without a care for the world.

"Now, all that's left is to equip the gear." Nodding in satisfaction as he felt his understanding of various concepts broaden in both depth and breadth, Valyr soon went ahead and took out the equipment he'd forged earlier out of his spatial bracelet.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Equipping all of the armor pieces in a matter of seconds, the young man soon felt a bit more strength course throughout his body as he gripped onto the magic staff he'd procured for himself.
"Now that I think about it, I've yet to grab myself a copy of the Novice Arcane Armor blueprints from the Blacksmith Guild." Making his way to the standing armor, Valyr admired his appearance with a slight grin on his face.
Considering the fact that the entire armor set faintly gave off a slight blue sheen, the fact that the armor's helmet piece looked quite similar to what a wizard would wear in fiction made the young man look like he was filled to the brim with destructive energy.
Then again, the simple yet polished magic staff he wielded somewhat changed this aura for the better, making it seem like his power was that of a magic blade just waiting to be unsheathed at any moment.
"I should pay a visit to the Blacksmith Guild at some point," noted Valyr in his mind as he made his way out of the inn. "I just realized that I've yet to grab all the blueprints they have available."
"Then again, it's not like this set of Mana Apprentice Armor is useless," continued the young man in a slight murmur. "After all, this one came from the Triad Gates that Vaughn used to control."
"In any case, there's not much point thinking about all of this." Fortunately, by the time Valyr left the inn for good, all thoughts about blueprints and whatnot were tossed to the back of his head.
"Instead, how about I check how much damage I could deal at the moment?"
…
Whoosh!
"To think I'd be back so soon." Letting out a bit of laughter, Valyr briefly glanced at the evergreen trees lining the perimeter of the Verdant Woodlands before making his way in.
With Thomas not accompanying him anymore, it went without saying that the young man could make use of his stats to its utmost, allowing him to arrive at the Verdant Woodlands at a fraction of the time.
"Into the core region we go." Making use of the absurdly high agility he had for his level, Valyr swiftly passed through the outer region of the Verdant Woodland in a matter of minutes, eventually finding himself in the forest's inner region.
Then again, even though beasts and monsters that only those at Rank 1 and above could kill began to appear wherever he moved, the young man remained oblivious to their existence, arriving at the heart of the Verdant Woodlands not even 10 minutes later.
"Woah…" At the very moment Valyr arrived at the heart of the Verdant Woodlands, the young man was immediately greeted by the sight of a large wolf resting at the center of a large clearing.
With its fur a deep green color, alongside the fact that its aura seemingly melded with the entire forest, the young man instinctively knew that the wolf in front of it was possibly the strongest beast within the Verdant Woodlands.
"Grrr…" Although it did not pay attention to it at first, the dark green wolf eventually woke up from its rest as it began to notice the young man near the edges of the clearing.
Seeing that the young man showed no hesitation in moving closer to it, the green wolf began to radiate a bit of the aura it had suppressed, baring its fangs as it would show no hesitation if he got any closer.
However, rather than be intimidated by the wolf's show of might, Valyr continued to move closer to it, unperturbed by the pressure tactics the wolf had used all this time. To an outsider, it was as if the young man was taking a relaxing stroll along the forest.
"Awwwoooo!!!" Yet, Valyr's nonchalance only served to stoke the flames of anger within the wolf, prompting it to bare its claws as it charged at him without abandon.
"There we go." Seeing that the wolf was finally making a move, Valyr let out a slight chuckle as he activated his identification skill on it.
At the same time, he pointed the magic staff towards the dark green wolf before beginning to chant an incantation.
"May the power of mana hear my plea."
"Let this conductor of mana smite his foes."
"[Mana Bolt]!"
Whoosh!
