Chapter 327: Completed Deal
Chapter 327: Completed Deal
"That's interesting… Will I be allowed to use the resources of your Mechanical Workshop?" Shane asked.
The advisor's eyes lit up after seeing Shane's interest and replied.
"Of course! I can show you the workshop later and give you an estimated value or materials you can take for each Healing Token."
Shane had already seen the marvelous works of the mechanics, or Artisans as they were called, and knew that his Otherworldly Mechanic Talent would be perfect for it.
With this, he would be able to get enough mechanical gear in order to maximize his Otherworldly Mechanic Talent and trigger his Anima Store into appearing.
Perhaps he could really use the powers of advanced technology in order to clear this Apocalypse.
"That's sounds great. We can discuss the trade for Healing Tokens for that later…" Shane said, making the advisor feel proud of himself for thinking about this.
Well, their Ivory Gear Shelter was known for its mechanical advancement, so he was proud of it.
Finally, the fifth advisor, a woman with a gentle voice, said, "They've probably mentioned everything we can use to trade with you in large quantities. However, we could also offer you safe passage and protection during your travels. This would ensure your safety as you move between Neutral Shelters that we know of and explore new areas."
Shane and Lysandra glanced at each other as they realized that this was certainly one of the best deals. Even if the transportation to another Shelter costs about 50 or more Healing Tokens in exchange, he didn't really mind it. After all, they still did not have a world map and were only basing their route on the help of those in the chat and their rough estimate of the location of Sector 20.
The two of them assumed that these Neutral Shelters hadn't been discovered by other survivors yet. Because of that, they would be able to benefit a lot from the rewards they could get and also the fact that they would be able to map the area and share it with their Clan Members!
"We can consider that as well," Shane muttered as he felt relieved. He knew that their visit to this Shelter would hasten their growth in terms of strength and wealth!
Lord Kang Zhen liked this offer and felt it was reasonable. He hadn't actually thought of this idea. Thankfully, he had advisors who were able to consider these simple things to him. On normal occasions, they could just ask for about 5,000 gold coins for an escort mission to other Neutral Shelters, which would normally take weeks if they traveled by foot.
However, if they accepted Healing Tokens as payments instead, it would surely bring them more benefits.
'Good job…' He thought as he looked at the advisor.
He then looked back at Shane, waiting for his response.
"These are all valuable offers. What do you think?" He asked.
Shane considered the options carefully. "I like all of them, Lord Kang Zhen… How about this? We will trade 100 Healing Tokens for 200 Zombie Cores each. We will also use 100 Healing Tokens for Spirit Stones… However, I think ten low-grade Spirit Stones is a bit too low…"
Shane actually felt that 200 Zombie Cores were also too low for the quality of his Healing Tokens. It also felt that they could offer more for that.
However, instead of negotiating on this matter, he decided to just push their limit with the Spirit Stones deal.
The woman who had suggested the offer, gently nodded and replied.
"Although the number is small, the Spirit Stones were really expensive. After all, their effect was instantaneous. Furthermore, if you continuously use these Spirit Stones, the maximum capacity of your body will also slowly increase.
Potions or Pills that recover Spiritual Energy don't have this kind of effect at all… However, since these Tokens were indeed valuable, how about 15 low-grade Spirit Stones instead."
After hearing this new offer, Lysandra felt that it was reasonable. After all, Shane only needed to spend 50 Spirit Points to make these Drifterwood Tokens. For 4 Gold Coins, he could also get a piece of wood to make 30 of them.
However, Shane still shook his head. He felt that it was still too low since his Token could be used for 25 times, and he also took a loss with the Zombie Cores trade.
In the end, after some negotiations, Shane was able to get 35 low-grade Spirit Stones for 1 Healing Token!
Shane smiled as he felt satisfied with this transaction.
'I thought 20 would be a good deal, but I didn't expect I could get 35 instead…'
'I'd probably get a Haggling Skill for that in normal cases.' He mused.
They also discussed the matter with the Alchemy Ingredients, Mechanical Workshop, and the Escort Mission.
Lord Kang Zhen smiled. "It seems we have a deal, then. You will have access to our workshops, receive rare alchemical ingredients, and escort you to two other Neutral Shelters in exchange for your healing tokens."
Shane accepted this deal as he ultimately decided to spend a hundred or more Tokens on these three options.
After all, he was planning to get all the Alchemy Ingredients in their warehouse, which were also listed in the Blood Alchemy Book. He knew that it would be cheaper here even if these ingredients appeared in the Survivor Store and Marketplace.
"As for those Healing Tokens in your hands, you can consider it as my gift," Shane said, referring to the six tokens he had initially handed over to be inspected.
Lord Kang Zhen laughed as he realized that Shane was indeed generous.
"Then you also accept my gift!" He said with a loud voice, giving three pouches. It seemed to contain gold coins. However, as soon as the advisor opened, it actually contained taels of gold instead!
Each pouch has 300 taels!
"A tael of gold is worth a hundred gold coins." The advisor explained as he noticed that Shane seemed clueless about its worth.
This means that Shane had just obtained 90,000 gold coins!
