Somebody once told a joke.A man ran in place all his life. He worked a job he didn't love for people he couldn't stand. But at the end of the day, the number in his bank account went up.That man got a second chance at life. He woke up in another world, full of adventures and romances and monsters and gods. And floating above his head he saw the number "1". So what did he say?"Gosh I better make the number go up."Not today. Not for this old soul. Reborn as a beast of battle meant to live a short life and die screaming, Garek refuses. He puts the madness of skills and levels behind him and sets out to found a little farmstead. He grows crops. Maybe someday he'll get a pig, and have bacon. It's a shame the world won't let him be. It's a shame that the warmongers and level-grinders hate nothing more than a soul at peace. He put down his sword for a plowshare, but when trouble comes calling, he'll pick it up again. Collapse

Where can I read the raw chapters?
On RoyalRoad, where I post this story.
Hey author, I was checking latest chapter and saw your post. Ranobes contains your patreon and RR novel page in Links.Well, not discord links tho.
Yeah i edited the RR text to reflect that once I had seen, but Ranobes doesn't update text bodies once they're updated on RR so it won't reflect that here. Honestly, the biggest thing I'm concerned about is Kindle. If you want to put your book on there to move into the Amazon marketplace, Kindle requires 80% of your content in said book to be removed from the internet, and I don't have the option to do that on Ranobes aside from being an ass and sending a DCMA claim.
It's not here with your consent, so i hope kindle won't hold u responsible for thisDon't acknowledge this site
Neat story, worth a read. Not filled with the obverse, all-too-common comedy tropes that typically grace the [Comedy] tag, nor is the story and characters based solely on jokes.Rather, the novel employes casual humor in measured doses. Honestly, it's not much different from most novels without the [Comedy] tag. It just doesn't take itself as seriously as those whose themes aren't suitable for comedy or focus on MC's who are too proud, dignified or serious to laugh at anything but the enemies they grind beneath their boots.Instead, this novel is better described by the action, adventure, and slice of life tags.
Is slice of life boring to you
Depends. Some regular things in life bore me. Others do not. And how the author handles it can make a big difference.
Amusing BoC clone. Honestly the LitRPG elements take away from the story though, since MC doesn’t really care about them
I shoulda just named it Beware of Cow
That would make my day
Rank B+(for veteran readers wue enjoyed beware of chicken)
Beware Of Chicken is top notch!
