Chapter 685: Miraculous Function Of The Blood Mist, Genesis Law Sacrifice (2)

Most Tribulation/Universe Architect cultivators who were able to slay Archimmortals throughout history had Dao comprehension at the Astral Monarch level at minimum. Only in this way could they overcome the vast disparity in mana between cultivation phases.

As for me, once I achieve a small degree of mastery in 'Genesis Law Sacrifice,' I would only need Astral Lord-level Dao comprehension to have a chance at slaying an Archimmortal. Wu Yuan's eyes gleamed with anticipation.

With Astral Lord-level Dao comprehension, coupled with the mana of a Seventh Tribulation Archimmortal, his power could rival that of an Eighth Tribulation Archimmortal.

This is my opportunity. The Origin Blood Droplet, previously condensed from blood mist, should now be called the Genesis Droplet in light of this new understanding.

All this time, I thought I hadn’t unlocked all of its functions, but in reality, I simply hadn’t discovered the method to wield it properly.

The 'Genesis Law Sacrifice' is the ultimate way to harness the blood mist's power.

Wu Yuan had already realized the magnitude of this opportunity. On top of that, the Genesis Divine Pillar clearly had some nebulous connection to the black pagoda.

Back then, when I entered the first floor of the black pagoda, I was told by that spirit that the black pagoda was also known as the Ancestral Pagoda, the Origin Pagoda...

From what I know, Sovereign Black Devil obtained not just one Genesis Divine Pillar, but seemingly other Black Devil Stars as well? And potentially even more mysterious objects? Wu Yuan pondered silently.

He had already made his decision. No matter what, he had to make a trip to the Black Devil Blood Hollow. Inside, he might uncover more secrets of the black pagoda.

At the very least, through ‘Genesis Law Sacrifice’, Wu Yuan had already uncovered the tip of the iceberg regarding the black pagoda's secrets, learning a new way to utilize the blood mist.

...

After quieting his thoughts, Wu Yuan began cultivating ‘Genesis Law Sacrifice.’ Only then did he grasp the immense challenge it presented.

Its conception was ingenious.

Genesis Power is the beginning of all things. The Law Sacrifice returns all mana to its primordial state... The beginning of all things and all Daos is Spacetime... When Space and Time unite, Genesis Power emerges naturally. These profound insights echoed in Wu Yuan's mind.

This was the core principle of ‘Genesis Law Sacrifice’! One must simultaneously comprehend the Law of Space and the Law of Time to have any hope of successfully cultivating ‘Genesis Law Sacrifice’.

It's too difficult. Mastery of both Greater Laws to some degree is required. Wu Yuan was taken aback by the enormity of the challenge.

In contrast, though the ‘Black Devil Blood Sacrifice’ had numerous side effects, it offered one crucial advantage: its cultivation difficulty was hundreds, if not thousands, of times lower. Even an ordinary Sixth Tribulation High Immortal could cultivate up to part two with enough time and dedication.

Difficult? I've not only comprehended Space, but I've also gained some insight into the Law of Time... I refuse to believe I can't succeed. Wu Yuan wasn't discouraged.

He wasn't merely cultivating a secret art. This sort of cultivation was also a form of comprehension.

Gradually, Wu Yuan discovered another facet of ‘Genesis Law Sacrifice.’ It fused the profundities of the Law of Space and the Law of Time into a cohesive whole, creating something truly remarkable.

In a sense, it was guiding Wu Yuan to unify the Laws of Time and Space.

The unity of Spacetime! This is undoubtedly an ultimate Dao. It’s just... beyond words. Even the spacetime inheritances from the Spacetime Dao Master, despite being more targeted toward each individual Greater Law, seem lacking in certain ways compared to 'Genesis Law Sacrifice.' Wu Yuan was struck by awe.

He couldn’t fathom the creation of such a technique; it was beyond his understanding.

It seemed the creator's mastery of Spacetime surpassed even the inheritances left by the Spacetime Dao Master.

Realizing this rare opportunity, Wu Yuan dove fully into his study. For him, even comprehending a fraction of its profundities would be of immeasurable benefit.

...

'Genesis Law Sacrifice' was so deeply profound that it was hard to imagine what level its creator had reached.

At its core, though, it was simply a practical secret art, not a guide to Dao comprehension. Additionally, the first part was intended for Earth Immortals, so it shouldn’t be insurmountably difficult.

Moreover, someone like Wu Yuan, who was able to crystallize Space True Intent and gain some insight into the Law of Time as an Earth Immortal, was already considered a monstrous prodigy.

After three years of intense study, Wu Yuan finally grasped the basics, managing to condense his first Genesis Dao Pattern.

For any secret art, the initial comprehension was often the most challenging stage. From there, it was a matter of systematic cultivation. Over these three years, Wu Yuan also made notable progress in the Laws of Space and Time

In around twenty years, I should be able to completely master part one of ‘Genesis Law Sacrifice’. Wu Yuan was looking forward to it.

...

In the Immutable Land, within the Creation Divine Hall's vast test world.

Wu Yuan's body refiner self sat here, contemplating diligently. Massive stone walls stood erect, surrounding him.

These past few years, my qi refiner self’s progress in the Law of Time seems to have accelerated, even reaching the initiate threshold. Wu Yuan’s body refiner self showed a flicker of surprise.

His progress in the Law of Time had sped up several times over. Naturally, this also allowed Wu Yuan's body refiner self to comprehend the 365 Creation Essence Diagrams at a much faster rate.

When my qi refiner self crystallized Space True Intent, it greatly enhanced my power, allowing me to clear level eight of the Creation Tower.

Two hundred years remain. Level nine? There’s hope. Wu Yuan's body refiner self gently closed his eyes and resumed cultivating.

He had already come very far on this path of Creation Essence.

...

The Spacetime Dao Realm.

Since acquiring the powerful 'Genesis Law Sacrifice' teachings, Wu Yuan’s qi refiner self had been practicing it in seclusion, attempting to cultivate part one.

Alongside earlier inheritances, like the ‘True Domain Law Codex’ and the ‘Compendium of the Law of Space,’ Wu Yuan achieved significant progress in both Space and Time.

As the years passed, Wu Yuan’s mana body was also far from idle, successively completing three more Sovereign-level spacetime missions.

The second Sovereign-level Mission was a hunting mission. Wu Yuan was sent to a mysterious ancient river in outer space to hunt river beasts.

These river beasts possessed low intelligence but immense power. The weakest among them rivaled Earth Immortals, while the mightiest could match Archimmortals. The most formidable even possessed strength on par with Astral Lords. Even with his ability to traverse higher spatial dimensions, Wu Yuan tread cautiously among them.

He narrowly escaped death time and again, having to flee from the encirclement of several Archimmortal-level river beasts multiple times. After overcoming countless perils over three years, Wu Yuan managed to slay one hundred river beasts, successfully completing the mission.

The rewards were substantial. The river beast corpses alone fetched Wu Yuan a sum of several hundred thousand divine crystals in the Spacetime Treasure Hall.

The third mission was an exploration mission, set in a special realm boundary called the Ice Sea Prison. The objective was to retrieve a mission item, but it truly pushed Wu Yuan to his limits.

In fact, during his first venture, Wu Yuan encountered a terrifying situation that caused his mana body to perish outright, losing many treasures in the process.

This setback forced Wu Yuan’s qi refiner self to spend ten years cultivating a new mana body before attempting it again. After two more years, he succeeded in escaping the Ice Sea Prison with the mission item.

The Ice Sea Prison taught Wu Yuan the genuine danger of spacetime missions. This was merely a Sovereign-level Mission, yet he lost a mana body due to carelessness.

How much more dangerous would a Dao Master-level Mission be?

...

It took over a year before Wu Yuan received his fourth Sovereign-level Mission. This time, it was a super large-scale confrontation mission.

The mission involved two teams of over a hundred imprint bearers, including several Tribulation/Universe Architect cultivators. The battlefield was vast, fraught with countless hazards.

In this high-stakes clash, Wu Yuan was compelled to unleash his full power.

In that outburst of strength, he shook the heavens with his might!

His mastery of Space True Intent alone, allowing him to move through a higher spatial dimension, drew the attention of many powerful imprint bearers in the battle. In the end, Wu Yuan, working alongside two other powerful High Immortal imprint bearers, emerged victorious.

This mission catapulted Wu Yuan to fame, and his name truly resounded across the entire Spacetime Island!

Previously, when he first arrived, his status as a Dao Master Imprint bearer only led others to believe he possessed extraordinary talent. But this battle revealed to countless imprint bearers on the Spacetime Island that his strength was equally formidable!

His Dao comprehension might not yet rival the most powerful High Immortals, like Nie Zhen, but he was undoubtedly one of the elite. At the very least, among the hundreds of thousands of Divided Soul/Dharma Body imprint bearers on the Spacetime Island, Wu Yuan's strength was universally acknowledged to be among the top ten.

In the blink of an eye, 130 years had passed since Wu Yuan's arrival on the Spacetime Island, and forty years since he completed his first Sovereign-level Mission.

...

On this day, within a courtyard of the Taiyuan Tower in the Spacetime Immortal Voidrealm.

"Daoist Nangong." Wu Yuan entered, spotting a young woman in white robes.

It was none other than Nangong Meng, a Dao Master Imprint bearer from the Taiyuan Divine Court lineage who had greeted him upon his arrival at the Spacetime Dao Realm.

Wu Yuan also noticed another figure in black robes—a High Immortal whose aura was equally extraordinary.

"Daoist Ming Jian, allow me to introduce you," Nangong Meng smiled. "This is Daoist Kou Lei, a Fellow Daoist from the Eight Mountains Alliance."

Kou Lei? A Sovereign Imprint bearer? Wu Yuan's eyes flickered as he studied the black-robed figure.

Although they hadn’t met, Wu Yuan had heard of Kou Lei, a powerful High Deity who had survived six Tribulations. With Dao comprehension on par with Astral Lords, his combat prowess matched true Archeldritches and Archdeities, making him well-known on Spacetime Island.

"Daoist Ming Jian," Kou Lei’s voice was deep, like a resonant bell, as he laughed. "Your reputation precedes you!"

"I've also heard of Daoist Kou Lei's achievements," Wu Yuan smiled in return.

"Ming Jian, I called you here because Brother Kou Lei has invited you to join him on an exploration mission," Nangong Meng explained.

"An invitation? For an exploration mission?" Wu Yuan's interest was piqued. "Where to?"

"The Snowlight Mist Realm," Kou Lei said solemnly. "This exploration mission is my Dao Master-level Mission. I'm only allowed to team up with two Divided Soul-level cultivators... After much consideration, I believe you, Daoist Ming Jian, were the ideal choice. Thus, I've come to humbly extend this invitation."

The Snowlight Mist Realm? Wu Yuan maintained his composure as he asked, "Who is the other Earth Immortal?"

"That would be me!" A cool voice rang out as a silver-armored figure appeared at the courtyard entrance.
