Chapter 202 - FELL HURT

Chapter 202 – FELL HURT

"Elle, Lucas, watch out!"

Several people who saw the scene immediately shouted the names of Ellena and Lucas at the same time.

Simultaneously, hot lead escaped from the lip of the firearm to create a deafening sound of explosion, hitting the target.

A sharp dagger that was about to hit Ellena's back also managed to fly in a short time. The bearded man was lying on one hand which was already covered in blood, as a result of the gunshot.

Hearing the screams and explosions, Lucas immediately reversed his position back, without letting go of his embrace on his wife's body. Instantly his eyes widened at the sight of the bearded man who had slumped limply while whimpering in pain. He reflexively felt Ellena's back, trying to make sure she was okay.

"Elle, are you okay?" Lucas asked frantically as he continued to touch Ellena's back.

"I'm fine, Lucas." Ellena replied which managed to make Lucas stretch his arms.

"Don't make me worry like that!" snapped Lucas who was clearly very panicked at the screams and explosions. Really he thought that something had happened to Ellena.

To suppress his emotions and fear, Lucas hugged Ellena again very tightly. Lucas really didn't want to see Ellena hurt to save her life. It was something he would never forgive in his entire life, if that were to happen.

It was enough until yesterday that he felt he had lost Ellena, after this don't happen again Ellena left him. He will not be able to continue to live life without loved ones.

"I'm okay, Lucas. You don't worry about me like that." Ellena whispered as her face was buried in her husband's chest. Finally, after a long time she could feel the hug again, smell the familiar masculine scent on her nose. Ah, she missed all that so much. Everything in her husband.

"Don't ever leave me again, Elle. I won't be able to live my life without you." Lucas whispered, tightening his embrace.

How much Lucas missed his wife's figure, that he didn't realize that so many pairs of eyes were watching him with Ellena. The world seems to belong to the two of them, while others consider it just a contract.

Even Lucas didn't care about the figure who had been staring sadly at him. Ah, should he show another more intimate scene than that in front of Richard? Not! He still has a conscience to make Richard hurt even more by seeing his intimacy with Ellena.

"Good evening, Mr. Lucas!"

The baritone voice instantly stopped Lucas and Ellena's activities. Lucas reflexively let go of the hug and turned towards the source of the sound. Ah, he even forgot that there were several policemen who had been standing not far from him. He should have thanked the policeman for saving his wife's life.

One of the cops was now standing in front of Lucas, while the other three cops seemed to secure the four criminals. Richard and David had arrested three criminals earlier, while another was still lying on the ground with blood dripping from his hands.

"Good evening, Sir. Thank you for saving my wife." Lucas said with a smile.

"That is our responsibility, Sir," replied the policeman, looking very friendly. Yes, he knew who he was dealing with right now.

"I'm glad you came on time. I wonder what will happen to my wife, if you come late." Lucas explained, smiling happily.

"I'm also happy if I can help others, Spir," replied the policeman not wanting to lose by spreading his smile. "I also thank you for helping us in ambushing these criminals.

"You're welcome, Sir. This is thanks to the help of my friends." Lucas replied, glancing at Adley and Richard who were standing next to each other. Behind them were Alex, Robert, and David. Meanwhile, Briana seemed to be standing four meters beside Adley.

Lucas immediately smiled, as he looked at his mother-in-law from a distance. Without waiting long, his steps immediately swung toward the middle-aged woman who was looking at him sadly.

"Are you all right, ma'am?" Lucas asked with slightly teary eyes.

Of course he was very sad to see Briana. It was too sinful for him to let the middle-aged woman get involved in his problems with his wife.

Lucas knew very well how his mother-in-law felt when she saw her daughter hurt. Yes, he must have been devastated and it seemed he had to apologize for what had hurt Ellena.

"I'm fine, Lucas." Briana answered quietly, curling her lips into a smile, while her eyes were filled with tears as if she was harboring sadness, but there was also a hint of happiness on the middle-aged woman's face.

Quickly Lucas hugged Briana's body, as if he was hugging his own mother.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am. Because of me you're suffering. I'm really useless, but please allow me to stay with Ellena. I promise I won't make Ellena cry again, won't leave her, even—"

"Never mind, Lucas. You weren't wrong at all in this incident. I know that you love Ellena very much, and vice versa. How could you not approve of your relationship. In fact, I will be sick if you see you can no longer be together, because that means mother will watch Ellena cry every night," concluded Briana while gently stroking Lucas' back.

"What do you mean, Ma'am?" Lucas stretched his arms and looked seriously at his mother-in-law's face.

"Yes, all this time Ellena has always been crying for you, Lucas. She misses you very much, but has repeatedly received threats from them. I'm sad to see her, but now I'm happy because I can see you two back together," explained Briana, which suddenly made Lucas a little stunned in disbelief.

"Is that so, Ma'am?" Lucas asked to make sure he came back and immediately responded with a big smile.

"Yes, of course. How could I lie. Ellena's life journey was too heavy without you, Lucas. You are the best man for her. Only you can make her laugh and bounce back from adversity." Briana answered seriously, making Lucas feel even more convinced.

Lucas immediately turned around, looking at Ellena who was still standing in the previous place from a distance. A smile appeared on his face when he found a smile growing on the woman's face.

He then winked as if to code Ellena to come closer to him. Who would have thought that Ellena immediately understood the meaning of that blink of an eye.

Full of confidence, Ellena slowly swayed her steps, without ending the smile on her face. However, the smile immediately faded when her pair of brown irises found a figure standing beside Adley.

Ellena's steps came to a halt, just as she was about to pass Adley and Richard. Her gaze focused on Richard. She stared at the sad face for a moment. She knew very well how Richard was feeling right now. It was certain that Richard was hurt to see her back with Lucas. However, what could she do, to control the feeling of disappointment in the man's heart?

Ellena couldn't help but sigh, then smile. Hope this time Richard will understand how fate dictates that no one can prevent.

After that, Ellena stepped back towards her husband and mother who had been waiting for a long time.

Meanwhile, Richard still didn't want to take his eyes off Ellena. Even when Lucas hugged the tiny body of the woman he loved so much.

Ah, how can he love a woman who already has a husband. However, until this moment, only Ellena managed to steal his attention. Should he dodge? Who can control someone's feelings, he doesn't exist.

Hurt. Of course his heart felt broken seeing the intimacy of Ellena and Lucas at this time. They look so in love with each other. In contrast to his only one-sided love.

Richard didn't know how to control his feelings right now. His eyes stared sadly at the two people who were still embracing each other happily. Ah, what a sight that hurts the eyes, especially the heart.

'I don't know if this is wrong or not, what I know is that God has never made a mistake in creating feelings in someone's heart, even with my feelings. It's a gift, isn't it? How could I just erase the feelings that had managed to make me smile happily, even though now managed to make me cry–hurt.' Richard muttered in his heart.

'Loving you was the stupidest thing I've ever done, Patricia. Even I'm willing to do anything, to be able to have your heart completely, even though I know it will only end in vain. Yes, like now. Turns out I really mean nothing to you.' Richard's mind whispered again.

Adley, who had been standing in the same place for a while, must have noticed the pitiful expression of the man standing beside him. He turned his head, observing Richard's face from the side for a moment. Unable to bear to see the confused expression that ruined Richard's good looks, he immediately shifted his feet towards the man.

"You don't need to be sad like that, Brother. There are many other more beautiful and sexy women out there, you can choose one or even several of them. So, there's no need to be sad like that." Adley wrapped his arms around Richard's shoulders.

It suddenly made Richard flinch, then turned and threw a scornful look at Adley.

"Or do you want me to help you find a suitable woman for you? It's okay, I'll help later." Adley said again, smiling and crooking his neck once, as if he wasn't serious about what he said and made Richard even more furious.

"Shut up!" said Richard as he let go of Adley's hand roughly. Of course he was angry because he felt he was being belittled by Adley.

"Oh come on, Richard . . . in fact, I can arrange a one night stand with those ladies, especially for a broken-hearted guy like you."

Adley teased with a chuckle. Suddenly he immediately received a strong impact from the elbow of Richard's hand, right in the stomach.

"Ooooh!" Adley groaned clutching his stomach and glaring at Richard. Though he had good intentions, but instead received a painful blow from the man.

"Feel it! That's the recompense for people who have dared to underestimate me!" Richard cursed, smiling bitterly at Adley.

"I just want to help you, why are you making my stomach hurt like this, ha?" Adley snapped, but was only met with a triumphant grin.
