Chapter 21 Celebrating Victory
Chapter 21 Celebrating Victory
?Villain Ch 21. Celebrating Victory
They arrived at the cafe. As they settled into their seats, their expressions were a mix of exhaustion and elation. Larissa let out a contented sigh as she leaned back in her chair. Her eyes glimmered with satisfaction and she couldn't help but smile as she looked around at her team.
"I must say, we make quite the team," Larissa remarked, her voice filled with admiration.
Vivian laughed softly and twirled a strand of her hair around her finger. "I agree, we're an unstoppable force," she chimed in. "It's amazing how we all have such different skills and yet we complement each other perfectly."
Bella nodded in agreement. Her eyes were bright and her voice was filled with enthusiasm. "I'm so grateful to have met all of you. That mission was a new challenge for me."
Shea smiled proudly as she looked at her daughter, Zoe. "I couldn't be more proud of all of us," she said, her voice laced with maternal love. "Zoe did an amazing job too, don't you think?"
Zoe blushed and ducked her head, but her eyes shone with excitement. "It was so much fun!" she exclaimed. "I can't wait for our next mission."
Jane nodded in agreement. "Speaking of which, what do you all do in the real world?" she asked, curiosity evident in her voice. "I will start. I'm an online tutor and translator for an education course."
Larissa nodded. "That sounds fascinating," she said. "I'm a Pilates Instructor and Fitfluancer. I posted a lot of videos and blogs about health and fitness on the internet."
Vivian beamed. "I'm a cosplayer," she said, her eyes sparkling with passion. "I love creating costumes. Also, makeup guru. You can find my videos on the internet."
Bella chimed in. "You can say I'm a voice actress. I'm more into ASMR," she said, her voice smooth and melodious. "And yeah, you can also find my video on the internet. I never reveal my face though."
Shea smiled. "I'm an investor," she said, her tone confident. Then she leaned toward them. "I'm thinking about investing in the game company," she whispered. "That's why I tried this game." Then she shrugged. "But who knows, it took me to another adventure."
Zoe grinned proudly. "And I'm a student," she said, her voice tinged with excitement. "I'm taking a business major."
Alice spoke up. "I'm selling gaming devices at my offline and online store," she said, her expression shrewd. "Also review gaming devices sometimes," she added.
Allen cleared his throat and spoke up. "I'm an online writer and do a bit of photography," he said. He was always hesitant to say what his job was especially in front of the girls.
And as he expected, that question came—a taboo question for Allen.
The girls looked at him expectantly, eager to hear more. "What kind of stories do you write?" Alice asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
He considered his response. He knew that his writing wasn't exactly mainstream, and he wasn't sure how the others would react. "Fantasy stories," he said finally, hoping that it would be enough to satisfy their curiosity.
But the girls weren't content with such a vague answer. "What kind of fantasy stories?" Shea pressed, leaning forward in her chair.
Allen took a deep breath, steeling himself for their reaction. "Harem stories," he said.
To his surprise, the girls didn't react with laughter or ridicule. Instead, they seemed genuinely interested in his work. "Harem stories?" Larissa repeated, her eyebrows raised
"It's about an incubus," he admitted.
"Tell us more," Larissa demanded.
Allen hesitated for a moment, not sure if he wanted to reveal the explicit details of his writing. But he could feel the curiosity emanating from the girls, so he took a deep breath and decided to answer their questions.
"Well," he began, "the incubus in my story is a seductive demon who is adored by many women. And he is a prince."
The girls' eyes widened in surprise and amusement. "Wow, that sounds interesting!" Bella exclaimed, grinning mischievously. "Tell us more, Allen."
Allen shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "Uh, well, the harem has... um... intimate relations with the incubus."
"Intimate relations?" Larissa repeated, raising an eyebrow. "You mean they have s*x?"
"Yes, they do. It's a harem story after all." He swallowed his embarrassment.
"Sounds interesting," chimed Jane.
The others also commented the same thing, and Allen couldn't help but feel relieved that they weren't judging him. "So, what's the title of the story?" Shea asked curiously.
Allen took a sip of his drink before answering. "It's the Incubus series. I publish it online, and it has quite a following."
"Really?" Vivian exclaimed, leaning closer to Allen. "Can we read it? We're all adults here, and we won't judge you."
Allen felt a warm feeling in his chest, grateful for the girls' acceptance. "Sure, I'll send you the link. Just expect a lot of absurd things."
After they finished eating, they exchanged numbers, created a group chat, and decided to go home.
"Hey guys, I had a great time tonight," said Allen. "We should definitely do this again sometime."
"Agreed," said Larissa. "It was nice to meet all of you and to have a break from the usual routine."
"I second that," added Vivian. "This was a lot of fun."
Jane gathered her things. "It's been lovely meeting all of you," she said. "I hope we can stay in touch."
"Definitely," said Alice.
As they all stood up to leave, the group exchanged waves and well wishes. "Until next time," they said in unison, before heading out of the cafe into the cool night air.
Vivian shivered slightly, rubbing her arms to warm herself up. Her phone was in her hand as she stood on the sidewalk.
"Do you need a ride home, Vivian?" Allen asked as he caught that she was about to order a Guuber.
Vivian's face lit up. "Can I? That'd be amazing, thank you so much!" she exclaimed.
Allen grinned, pulling out his motorcycle keys from his pocket, and gave her an extra helmet. "Hop on. Give me your address. I'll take you home," he said. Allen always brought an extra as one of his homies always asked for a ride. But he already moved out to another city last month.
Vivian took the helmet and eagerly climbed onto the back of Allen's motorcycle, wrapping her arms around his waist before she told him where she lived.
Allen revved the engine, and they sped off into the night.
As they rode, Vivian couldn't help but feel a little nervous. She had never been on a motorcycle before. Moreover with a stranger like this.
"You know, Allen, I had a great time tonight," she said, raising her voice to be heard over the roar of the engine.
"No problem. I'm glad you came after what happened in the game," he replied, turning to look at her over his shoulder.
That answer made her heart beat fast. "Yeah," she answered with a much lower voice. She could feel her face getting hotter just because she remembered what happened. Luckily, Allen couldn't see her at all.
After a few more minutes of riding, they arrived at Vivian's apartment building. Judging from the structure and the exterior, it was an expansive, middle-high-class one. She hopped off the back of the motorcycle, turning to face Allen.
"Thanks again for the ride. I had a great time," she said, smiling up at him. She hoped she could invite him for a drink, but he was still a stranger to her, so she decided to do it another chance.
"No, problem," he said. Then Allen rode back to his own apartment.
