545 Dumpling to human
"That was a good nap~" Refreshed, Churu muttered after yawning. She then turned her head to the person in front of her, meeting the icy yet disturbed pair of eyes.
Glancing at the figure next to her, Churu met Ethan Lu's aghast front as if he had seen a ghost. Both men stared at her floating figure as she took the next several seconds loading what was going on.
One.
Two.
Three.
Churu blinked her eyes numerous times as she darted her eyes from Morris Liu to Ethan Lu. After two more seconds, her eyes widened as she realized Morris Liu was staring at her!
He was staring at her! Like he could see her!
"What..." Morris Liu murmured as his heart raced, sending alarms to the monitors of his condition.
The voice of Churu, her tiny, high-pitched minion voice sounded just like the whispers he heard the other night. Just the thought of it, the trauma he tried to deny resurfaced — like a mushroom growing out of nowhere.
"Hey, hey! Brother Mo!" Ethan Lu snapped back to reality when he heard the abnormal noise of Morris Liu's heart.
"What? What? What? What's happening chu?!" Churu equally panicked as her complex question sought for different answers.
Not wasting time, Ethan Lu pressed a button to notify medical staff for medical attention. Still, every second felt forever as he paced back and forth, then checked Morris Liu.
"Ouch!" Just then, Churu felt another pang of pain in her chest as she suddenly crashed to the floor. "Aah!!" Clasping her hands on her chest, Churu screamed as the pain this time was overwhelming.
"Hey, what happened? Oi!" Upon hearing Churu's sudden cry, Ethan Lu turned his head to her direction, only to see no figure floating anymore.
Upon her second cry, Ethan Lu looked down and saw her curling herself on the floor. Hence, Ethan Lu squatted down as he attempted to touch her but afraid that he would hurt her further.
"Cha cha? What's going on?"
"It hurts... ahh!" Through her gritted teeth, Churu grumbled as she rolled on the floor because of the striking pain on her chest.
Just then, the hospital door slid open followed by the sound of hurried footsteps of doctors and nurses. With that, Ethan Lu immediately picked up Churu as he stepped aside.
"What happened?" While the doctor was trying to stabilize Morris Liu's condition, Chris Yu appeared on the door. Anxiousness plastered across his face as he panted, as if he rushed his way back there.
"I—I don't know," Stuttering, Ethan Lu shook his head as he was trying to wrap the reason around his head.
"What?" Shifting his sharp eyes to the distress Ethan Lu, Chris Yu assumed that he must have said something that triggered Morris Liu to be in this state. "I told you not to stress him out, didn't I?" Grabbing him by the collar, Chris Yu's eyes glinted with fury.
"Urgh!" Chris Yu growled in frustrations as he walked out of the room and let the professionals do their job.
On the other hand, Ethan Lu glanced down on his hands where Churu was writhing in pain. He couldn't be bothered being vented out of Chris Yu's frustration as his mind felt like exploding.
He couldn't just tell Chris Yu that Morris Liu nearly had a heart attack after seeing a flying dumpling, right? Who would believe him? They might as well think that Ethan Lu finally lost it.
Also, how could Morris Liu see Churu, and then at the same time, they were both in pain? Was this a sheer coincidence?
Just what's going on?!
Ethan Lu's mind was in a complete haywire thinking about it. He couldn't comprehend anything that was currently occurring, that was why for now, he has to clear his head while tending to Churu. After all, he doesn't know how to ease her pain because aside from Lexi, no one could see her — except Morris Liu, of course.

"Are you sure I should leave you here?" Hours later, fortunately, Chris Yu still let him go inside the private ward.
Ethan Lu glanced at the reclining Churu next to Morris Liu. "Err, you might really kill him if he wakes up having you beside him." He hesitated because Churu suddenly requested to stay beside Morris Liu.
However, how could Ethan Lu be at ease if the reason Morris Liu had a cardiac arrest was because of the sight of Churu?
"It's fine, he will not." Although still feeling weak, Churu meekly smiled to reassure him. "Also, I want to confirm about something." She added.
Ethan Lu contemplated as his expression grew more conflicted. "Oh, god..." He heavily sighed as he run his fingers through his hair.
Ethan Lu never felt his mind this drained, as if they squeezed all his brain juices out. It was just too much for him, plus this decision if he should trust Churu or take her home.
However, thinking that Churu might do nothing silly through the night, Ethan Lu finally nodded his head in approval. "Just don't scare him, alright? Or, wait for me to explain things to him tomorrow before you show yourself."
Another sigh escaped from his mouth. "He's still very vulnerable, Chacha. Please, whatever you need to confirm, if you can do it without him seeing you, then don't show up in front of him for now."
"Don't worry," Sounding sincere, Churu nodded her head which caused Ethan Lu to sigh again.

Later that night, Morris Liu woke up in the middle of the night. He slowly opened his eyes, blinked his weary eyes to adjust to the dimness of the room.
However, as his vision cleared, a set of silver orbs was staring back at him. Her silky, long black hair flowed down to the side, while her unclad body perched on top of him.
"No way..." Churu whispered as she really transformed to a human form.
