Chapter 2510  By Design

Her words stirred the leaders of human civilization.

It even earned her a frown from several of them. They didn't understand.

They didn't understand what she meant.

They had faced the threat of the Beast Incursion head-on and had fought it head-on. What did she mean when she said that they had yet to understand the threat of the Beast Incursion?

"I'm sure that the experts in each of your nations have explained that the Beast Incursion will be a chronic threat to all of human civilization," she began. "I'm sure they have informed you that the condition for human victory lies in ensuring that the proportional death rate of the beasts and monsters is higher than that of the Martial Artists. I'm sure they have informed you that the Beast Incursion will occur in discrete beast tides due to varying  migrative speed. I'm sure that they have informed you about much that may have led at least some of you to believe that you understand what the threat of the Beast Incursion means."

Her words caused the air to tingle.

The atmosphere grew electric.

She had nailed the intelligence outlook of human civilization, perfectly highlighting that her words were not merely her underestimating the leaders of human civilization and their ability to understand this apocalypse.

In that case, it made her words regarding their ignorance more credible.

This made many leaders extremely nervous.

Just what had they missed about the true threat of the Beast Incursion?

"What I am going to inform you about is born from not just an extraordinarily rigorous and scrupulous data-intensive analysis of the Beast Incursion," she continued, "but also centuries of research into the Beast Domain conducted by none other than myself, of all people."

Her words lent more weight and credence to her claims.

"However, let me begin at the beginning," she remarked. "That is, the true cause of the Beast Incursion."

She pulled out a device from her sleeve, pressing a button on it.

Immediately, the screen behind her lit up before portraying a map.

A map of the Beast Domain.

And yet, she was interested in one and only one part of it.

The core.

"The core of the Beast Domain, past the Central Highlands, is one of the least well-understood places in the entirety of the Beast Domain," she explained. "The energy flux and sensory impediment at the core is so intense that even vaunted Martial Sages have a difficult time understanding exactly what is happening there. It is extremely dangerous as well. So much so that it has been designated a quasi-Transcendent zone. However, it may very well be a Transcendent Zone for all we know."

Many human leaders stiffened at those words.

"I have reason to believe that the denizen of the very epicenter of the Beast Domain are responsible for the Beast Incursion," she calmly dropped a bomb on all of them. "In other words, this is not a natural calamity, but more so the commander of an army instructing its soldiers to attack."

She narrowed her eyes. "And thus, the Beast Incursion commenced."

A wave of murmurs spread throughout the audience.

The notion that the Beast Incursion was artificially induced by some non-human entity in the center of the Beast Domain was a terrifying realization. They would not be able to sleep knowing that such an extraordinary entity lurked in the depths of the Beast Domain.

"My evidence for this claim is as follows." She raised a finger. "Firstly, I have many laboratories around the perimeter of the Beast Domain. They are equipped with active and esoteric audiometers that measure sound. Collecting sonic data from the Beast Domain allows me to study the Beast Domain from yet another dimension of data, increasing my understanding of the field. More importantly, I collected data on the sound of the horrific roar that preceded the Beast Incursion."

She pressed another button on the device which produced marks of the location of her bases around the outer perimeter of the Beast Domain.

"By measuring the differing intensities of the roar at different bases, I was able to precisely decipher the exact location of the source of this horrifying roar and…"

A dot appeared at the very center of the Beast Domain.

"That is the precise location of the source of the monstrous roar of the Beast Domain," she softly remarked with a hint of wonder, before shaking her head lightly. "Coincidentally enough, that spot is the exact radial center of the Beast Domain. As in, it is the spot that is most equidistant from the points of the perimeter of the Beast Domain. I find it rather curious that the source of the roar is at the mathematical center of the Beast Domain. Yet, that's not all. It also just so happens to be at the very center towards which beasts and monsters used to migrate towards in the Beast Convergence Theory that I myself once postulated."

The Beast Convergence Theory was a scientific ecological theory that the Ecologer had long  since postulated. The scientific community had discovered relatively recently that it was actually true. The Ecologer had stumbled upon this truth a century before the rest of the scientific community had finally caught up to her. It was a macro-ecology theory that hypothesized that all beasts and monsters were constantly migrating to what appeared to be the center of the Beast Domain.

No one understood why or how, but when one processed the migration patterns of billions of species over countless regions in what was a mind-numbing amount of data, the pattern became clear.

On a large scale, beasts and monsters were clearly moving towards the very epicenter of the Beast Domain.

"And somehow this center perfectly coincides with the inception of the roar, as well as the mathematical center of the Beast Domain," she elaborated with a hint of curiosity. "This is highly implausible to be a coincidence. The probability of it being a coincidence is less than one in a trillion. What is more likely is that…"

Her gaze swept across all the leaders of humanity.  "...Is that this was by design."
