Chapter 1444  I have a plan

Only the sound of wind could be heard above the sea of Golden Clouds, as everyone on the ship had hushed up. This was not the first time Goldilocks had directly disrupted the captains plans, and if it weren't for the fact that the ducks golden body seemed impervious to damage, they would have already tasted duck soup.

The duck was both a source of great wealth and disaster, for the gold it transmuted things into was not ordinary gold. No, it was Nether Lily Gold, which was an invaluable metal that approached the hypothetical limit of spiritual energy conductivity.

An ounce of that metal could buy a planet back in the Origin realm. Unfortunately, things in the Folklore realm didn't actually operate like other realms, and there was basically no market for this metal that could otherwise set off wars anywhere else in the universe.

Too much of a good thing was also bad, and the group had so much Nether Lily Gold that they would rather not have anymore of it. In fact, Jack had to actively learn how to revert transmuted items back to normal - something that could only be achieved if the transmutation had not actually been completed.

Jack sighed, and then flew over, summoning a massive chain as he did. He tied the chain, which also slowly turned to gold, around the two eels, and pulled them to the front of the ship.

Now the Jolly Rancher did not need to be pulled by magical beasts to fly, but since he already had them, he might as well use them. There was just one problem now: he didn't have a legitimate excuse to search out the seven Dwarf Dragons.

Jack trapped Goldilocks inside a wooden cage and pulled it back to the ship, the confused duck still not understanding what was happening. It just tried to peck at the cage, which started to turn it to gold.

"Guys, think of ideas," said Jack. "How can we approach the dragons?"

Over the past few months, Jack and his crew had gained a basic understanding of the Folklore realm.

It was vast beyond comprehension, and had no ruler whatsoever. It only had local tyrants, each of whom boasted such tremendous power that the forces of the universe had unanimously decided to leave the Folklore realm alone. After all, most of the local powerhouses could only retain their peak strength within this realm, the laws of which would allow them to do whatever they pleased.

Once they left, they would lose their edge, so no one bothered to leave.

There was no governance system in place, no massive empires, or anything of the sort. The entire realm, if anything, was like a collection of city states - each ruling their own territory in the way they pleased, uncaring about anyone or anything else.

That was the basic structure of the realm, but there were exceptions, such as the seven Dwarf Dragons. The seven brothers were abnormally strong, in and out of the realm, had a tendency to cause absolute chaos, and apparently, had more than once almost self detonated their cultivation over petty squabbles.

Now, theoretically, others should not care whether the dwarfs self detonated their cultivation or kept it safe and sound for a trillion years. The catch was that, as seven peak level Dao Lords, a self detonation could very possibly result in the actual destruction of a Major realm!

This was the kind of thing no one could confirm without it actually happening, and no one wanted to confirm it. So the realm had developed a tacit agreement to not let anyone approach the dwarf dragons.

But they could not be overt in their actions, or else the seven brothers would not approve. Jack needed a legitimate reason to approach them without arousing suspicion.

One reason why Jack himself was content to deal with the seven brothers, despite their peculiar reputation, was because while they were odd, they were also extremely smart, and loyal.

"Why do we even need to get in touch with the dragons?" Longbeard asked. "Sounds like trouble we can live without. I still say we find that Dryad."

Jack gave them all a look. Unlike the rest of them, Jack still cultivated the same, mysterious cultivation technique that Lex used.

As a result, not only was his body much stronger, so was his spirit and his soul. In fact, everything about this body was being subtly elevated just because Lex was so much stronger. But that was not the path Jack wanted to take.

Jack wanted to surpass the limits that had been imposed on fairies, and discover why they were so stifled. A race with all affinities, able to wield spirit energy according to their desires, should have been at the forefront of the universe. Instead they were servants and slaves almost everywhere.

As such, Jack did not think it would be easy, simple, or perhaps even possible for him to tolerate the tribulation to become an immortal. However, the Artica realm provided the perfect solution to his problem, allowing any to undertake a challenge to grow stronger instead of undertaking a major tribulation.

"It's because the dragons can take us to a magical realm that I just learned of," Jack answered. "Within that realm lies the opportunity for all of us to enter the immortal realm."

Silence. Once again, there was only silence, as everyone was stunned by Jack's claim. Then they all turned to look at Goldilocks with blood in their eyes and hate in their hearts!

Even if it was only an opportunity, the chance to become immortal was too great for them to give up just like that.

"Indeed, this is a problem," Tiny-Sparkles said. "If we approach the dwarfs directly, someone will spot us. Just because there is a law stating that none can look into the affairs of another state, we have a faint opportunity to reach the dwarves without arousing suspicions, but using the Gravity Eels was bound to fail. I have another idea."

Everyone's eyes suddenly changed, from being filled with hate, to gleaming with excitement.
