Chapter 108 - Fu Hee Sets An Appointment With Mrs. Bai
"Mum, you really dared to drug Fu Hua, are you courting death?" Fu Ling asked with a frown as he walked over. He has been hiding in the corners when he saw Fu Hua talking to his mother.
Fu ChunHua glanced up to look at him, then she looked away without saying anything.
"Mum, you never learn, do you? You already caused Fu Hua to be angry with you when you used underhand methods to get Meixu into FJ and now, you even drugged him? Mum, you know Fu Hua's personality very well. That he left you now is already questionable but I'm sure there won't be next time. If you cross his path again, even grandfather won't be able to save you." Fu Ling advised.
Fu ChunHua had her grievances, but she couldn't voice them out.
She wanted to tell him she was helping the old man to bring Fu Hua and Jia Li closer, but she knew telling him will be useless, because he will ask...
'Did grandfather ask for your help?'
Fu Ling had no more words left to say when he saw that his mother still had something to say to defend herself, so he just turned around and left.
"Are you going to play games again?!" Fu ChunHua shouted behind him, but he didn't turn back and only walked away quickly.
Fu ChunHua could only sit back angrily. And before she could react, a servant approached her.
"Ma'am, young master Fu Hua asked for Miss Jia Li's breakfast to be sent to his room."
Fu ChunHua heaved a sigh as she stood up and left with the servant.
As Fu Hee was sitting in the bedroom, Fu Lei walked in and was about to go straight for the inner room when Fu Hee blocked his way.
"What are you doing?" He asked with a frown as he was a little impatient.
"Lei, I asked you to come with me to go and see the Bai family and explain things to them but instead, you agreed to play games with father. Do you still have conscience?" Fu Hee asked with her hands spread out.
"Who was the one that didn't have a conscience before going to make arrangements with the Bai family without consulting anyone, even her husband? Move out of my way!" Fu Lei said to her in an annoyed tone.
"Because of my little mistakes, are you saying that you won't go with me?" Fu Hee asked with an unbelievable expression on her face.
"You have said it's a little mistake, then fix it!" Fu Lei said as he walked past her so freely.
Fu Hee couldn't believe her husband did not agree to go with her because she never told him of her arrangements or involved him with the plans she had with the Bai Family.
Fu Hee did not know what to feel. She only thought her husband was so petty as he couldn't show her a little support because he bore a grudge against her.
Fu Hee felt wronged and needed someone to talk to. She wanted to call her daughter and complain to her but she remembered that she still had to go through another trouble of explaining things to her, and since she was the friend to the daughter of the Bai family, she would immediately tell her off and run off to reveal everything to her friend.
And since she hasn't yet explained things to the Bai Family, she couldn't let her know anything about it.
'What a headache!' Fu Hee thought as she went back to sit on the bed.
After mustering enough courage, She picked up her phone as dialed Mrs. Bai's number and on the first ring, the call was answered.
"Oh! Thank God Fu Hee, you finally called back. What happened, I called you a dozen times yesterday, but you didn't answer any of my calls, and you didn't call back. Is everything alright?" Mrs. Bai asked.
Fu Hee sighed as she replied, "Everything is okay. Some of the extended Fu families came over and you know as the Mistress, I have to arrange everything."
"Oh! I see. It must have been hard on you. But why did the extended family members visit, was there an occasion?" Mrs. Bai asked.
"That's a story for another day." Fu Hee said to her.
"Okay, it's fine. I'm glad you called back now because I was already dressed up and planning to visit you." Mrs. Bai revealed.
"What! You wanted to visit me?" Fu Hee asked in shock as her eyeballs nearly popped out of their eye sockets.
Mrs. Bai found her reaction weird, so she asked, "Why, is something wrong with me visiting you or coming to the Fu Family?"
Realizing that her reaction was indeed questionable, Fu Hee covered it up as she laughed over it. "Don't mind me. I was only surprised that you care about me this much."
"There is nothing to be surprised about, after all, you are my friend, and our children are going to be married soon, and that will make us in-laws, and it's only right that I should care for you." Mrs. Bai replied in a happy tone.
At this point, Fu Hee wanted to run away from the country as she didn't know how to bring up the topic she has been trying so hard to hide.
Mrs. Bai was about to ask Fu Hee if she had spoken to Fu Hua and the rest of the Fu Family about the arrangements, but it was as if Fu Hee guessed what her next question would be, so she directly cut her off.
"Bai Fen, I have something important to talk to you about. Let's meet at ******* by 2 PM. Ah! my husband is out, I will meet you at that place, bye!" Fu Hee said and ended the call before Mrs. Bai could ask any questions.
Fu Hee patted her chest as she kept her phone aside. She felt so lucky for being smart. Fu Hee sighed as she began to think of what she would say when she met up with Mrs. Bai.
After a while, she said to herself, "Ah! I can't have a heart attack because of this matter."
And as she said so, she removed her shoes and climbed up the bed. Fu Lei walked out of the inner room to see her sitting on the bed with her hands folded.
He just glanced at her and walked past her to leave the room without saying anything.
When Fu Hee was on the phone, he heard everything she said, and he began to think when his wife became so good at lying.
Fu Hee also did not spare Fu Lei more than a two seconds glance before looking away. And when he left the room, she laid on the bed and closed her eyes.
