Chapter 132 [Grade SSS!]
Chapter 132 [Grade SSS!]
I looked at the [Guard Knight] standing on its two feet before he recognized me as its owner. And then began to move towards the outer gate of the city, where I had coordinated it to move.
Looking at its status and functions, a smile formed on my face before I then began creating another one.
"Huh? Aren't you going to take a break?" Nora asked, while I looked at her with a puzzled expression. My eyes looked into her troubles eyes before I asked,
"Why would I be taking a break? We should finish things as soon as possible."
There were still 99 more guards that I wanted to create. And if I wanted to finish it early, I must continue working without any break, though I doubt I could take any break with all the excitement and fun that I was having while creating all this.
Perhaps because of my gift, or perhaps because I was already experienced with creating a guard, creating the next guard took half the time, that is, only an hour to create it. The subsequent guards took about 30-50 minutes each, and what I thought would take 3 days, was slowly completed in merely a day and a half.
Could have completed the entire thing within 24 hours, but Nora urged me to take a break as she was really worried about my workaholic nature. And much to my distress, I had to take a few hours break a couple of times and more.
Though in the end, the 100 guards were done, so I wasn't really feeling bad anymore.
"The next is the teleportation circle, right? Though how are you going to create it? I heard it was a lost art, that even the highest of the magicians are looking out for," Nora spoke, making me wonder a couple of things before I spoke,
"Creating wouldn't be a problem if I use the [Authority] of that [???] guy. Though the problem comes after that, which is to protect the circle from knowledge hungry mages. Well, that still comes after the creation of the settlement."
"Hmm? Isn't the settlement complete already? Did you forget anything?" Nora asked looking at the huge settlement with a puzzled expression, while I shook my head as I answered,
"Did you forget it already? We need to create two settlements. One on this side, and one on the other side. We gotta make that first before setting up the teleportation."
Her eyes opened up wide as she recalled that. Looking at how enthusiastic I was, she could only dread as she observed my face. Even though I was the one who was going to work, I wondered why she was making such a worried face.
Though to have someone worry about you, wasn't such a bad feeling either.
And with those thoughts, I began working again from the start. The town center, the settlement, the base, and then upgrading them all as I spent my time dividing between the work and observing the people that I had sent the contract to.
It took almost the same time, that is 2 and a half days, as I finished the entire work in 5 days. And for some reason, Nora looked more exhausted than I was, which made me chuckle at times as I stopped to talk with her.
Though as I reached the conclusion of the final parts of the other settlement, I also began wondering about the teleportation circles and how I should create them. There were many ideas, but each had their own pros and cons.
And the biggest problem of all was the fact that I needed to create it as an S-Grade. That wasn't going to be done with merely energy at all. I would need at least 500 million GM Points for creation of a single circle. And with me trying to create 4 circles on each settlement, I needed about 8 Billion GM points in total for all the circles together here and the places where they would be connecting to.
"Will it be worth it?" I then questioned as I looked at the areas which I had left on each side for the teleportation circle. But since I had already done so many things, it wasn't really a time to back out.
And hence I began creating the circle with the GM Points. Since it was GM Points in question, I didn't have to worry about the time. They should be easily created instantaneously as much as time is considered. Also, being the main source of my income here, they should be able to fetch millions of points which I can use to buy high grade items later on.
"Well. Here goes nothing."
And once again, I began writing out the things that I wanted from the teleportation circle. The reason there were 4 circles was because of the twin planets on one side. One to connect with the light planet, one for the dark planet, and one last to connect with the other edge of the dark planet where it's harder to reach.
As for the last one, it was connected with the teleportation circle on the other side of the settlement.
On the other side, the three circles correspond to the following areas, the safe zone, the entry zone to the next floor and the next biggest city after the safe zone that were created by the adventurers.
There were many things that I needed to do and consider. Especially with regard to the teleportation circles near the cities on the first floor. Though given the nature of the circles that I created, I also created a bunch of other things such as a protection tower and additional guards to protect it from monsters and bandits.
Maybe I will create more roads that connect the safe city to the teleportation circle? Hmmm…. Maybe I should do it right now…
The fifth night passed, as I kept finishing the last of the additional work that I thought I should do just to make sure there aren't any problems with the travel of the players.
And when I finally finished giving the last of the last touches to the city and everything connected to it, I smiled brightly.
Much to my surprise, a certain notification appeared in front of me.
[You have created a self functioning settlement (Grade: SSS): Your [Gift: Creator's Index] has been increased by 5 minor Grades!]
