Chapter 481: Chapter 481 True God Status
Of course, Lin Xiao had no intention of keeping the Chaos Deity Position for his own use. Neither Jin Sisi nor he liked it, and he had already determined his own path. Unless it was a powerful godhood such as Destiny or Judgement that he might hold concurrently, there was no need for an unsuitable deity position like that of chaos.
However, this did not prevent him from selling it or exchanging it for other valuable items. After all, it was a powerful godhood, and there were many who would be willing to pay a high price for it.
Returning to his plane, Lin Xiao took out three totems and fused them into High Authority Power.
There were no ripples in the process, and the Plane Will did not show any abnormalities. In fact, when he formed the High Authority Power, there was no anomaly at all. However, Lin Xiao could feel that after all the totems of the entire plane had been unified, there seemed to be some profound change occurring within the depths of the plane.
He shared his speculation with his advisor, and after some observations, Jin Sisi told him that the plane was growing.
Put simply, with the unification of all totems into High Authority Power, the Totem Era had come to an end, and the plane was about to enter the Era of Gods and Spirits. Soon, this plane would give birth to True Gods rather than totems.
Here, Jin Sisi gave him some good news. Since he had gathered all the totems and acquired the Supreme Divine Position, he became the Supreme Being of this plane. As a result, any demigod that wished to elevate to True God status in the future would need his permission to do so.
Without his permission, they would be unable to obtain the status to become True Gods.
This was a plane, not a Crystal Wall System, and there was a limit to the number of True Gods it could give birth to—the so-called God Levels, similar to the previous totem statuses but much fewer in number.
Previously, there were several hundred totem statuses of varying sizes throughout the plane; however, now, after the unification of the totems, there were only a mere seven True God statuses available.
That meant, apart from him, the maximum number of Indigenous True Gods that this plane could give birth to was only seven; once filled, it would be impossible to produce an eighth.
However, this was not absolute. Normally, given the status of this plane, only up to seven True God statuses could be born. But if beings of this plane set out to plunder resources and the Plane Origin from Extra-dimensional planes to strengthen the Plane Will, the number of available statuses would slowly increase.
Most planes with a Plane Will could do this, which wasn’t very unusual.
What was unique about this plane was that it could birth a Supreme Plane Lord, and the Plane Lord had the authority to allocate statuses—this was the most valuable aspect.
Essentially, this plane would become his private property in the future, and investing wholeheartedly in its development would not be a loss.
Well, provided he could keep others from taking it away.
Right now, Lin Xiao didn’t have this concern, as the university would not allow outsiders to claim it for at least the duration of his college years. But once he graduated, the protection would be gone, and it would depend on his own capabilities to hold on to his territory.
That is to say, Lin Xiao now had four college years ahead of him, which equated to more than one thousand four hundred years in the Foreign Dimension, to manage this plane.
After fusing the totems into the Supreme Divine Position, Lin Xiao returned to Yanhuang No.1 Super Fortress, the outpost base of this Crystal Wall Universe, with his girlfriend. They parted ways; she had to return to school with other students, and he needed to register the plane he had named the New Moon Domain under his own name at the outpost base.
Although everyone implicitly understood that he had taken control of the plane, this implicit understanding was only valid for a month. If he did not register within that timeframe, the base would claim it.
If someone unscrupulous used some tactics, it might be possible to claim this plane under their own name, which would be a huge loss.
There were not many people at the registration office. Although the Crystal Wall System was vast with numerous planes, not many were capable of taking a plane. On average, it could be days before someone came to register.
Four military personnel, two men, and two women, were working at two windows. At the moment, they were chatting boredly. Upon Lin Xiao’s entry, they all looked up at once. The man at the left window waved enthusiastically and said:
“Officer, are you here to register the ownership of a plane? Come over here.”
“Do you have all the necessary documents prepared? Are you clear on the process?”
“What documents do I need, and what is the process exactly?”
“You need to prepare a basic dossier of your occupation of the plane, and you will also need an on-site inspection by the base’s surveying department to verify your ownership of the plane. We also need to confirm there are no competing claimants. After registration, we will announce to all explorers of the plane, and you will be granted ownership of the plane if there are no objections within a month.”
“Hmm…”
Lin Xiao fell silent for a moment, then said:
“That sounds quite troublesome.”
“It is troublesome, but it’s a necessary process to prevent false claims. By the way, what’s your name? I need to jot it down for the record.”
“Lin Xiao.”
The registrar’s hand paused in the act of writing, and along with the other three staff members, they all looked up, faces registering surprise.
“You’re Lin Xiao?”
“Yes, that’s a name that should be difficult to impersonate.”
“It’s not that, it’s just…”
The staff member who had been speaking suddenly held up a thumb and said:
“I’ve heard that you took on more than fifty upperclassmen by yourself, and as a freshman, you managed to snatch this plane right from under them. Moreover, you and a professor killed a True God Level Son of the Void. That’s incredible.”
“Over fifty upperclassmen…”
Walking out of the office, Lin Xiao’s mouth twitched, finding the rumor completely absurd.
But still…
“It’s pretty exhilarating!”
He pushed up his glasses and moved on to the next step.
Through a series of following procedures, he realised he had become famous. Just by mentioning his name, almost everyone would know who he was, and the rumors about him were more exaggerated than the next.
By the time he had finished all the formalities and left the Outpost Base, the latest version of the story had him breaking into a joint class of sophomores and juniors by himself, overthrowing the upperclassmen from both grades, and then, all by himself, taking down a Son of the Void with strength comparable to a Medium Divine Power…
Good lord, if Lin Xiao hadn’t experienced it himself, he’d think this was a plot from a novel.
Once back in the New Moon Domain and having marked his territory on the Plane Origin outside of the domain, the domain became his private property. He didn’t have to worry about others snatching it away before he graduated from college.
However, he had to develop this plane before graduation, ensuring at least enough strength to defend himself.
In this regard, he already had some plans. It was simple; rely on the strength of the Moon Cloud Realm for support while also transferring its population.
The Moon Cloud Realm was going to be destroyed in less than a thousand years anyway, so when the time came, he could move most of its residents here. This solution would not only address the challenge of developing the new plane but also resolve the destruction of the Moon Cloud Realm, killing two birds with one stone.
But before that, he needed to build a platform on the Crystal Wall outside the plane that could dock Void Ships. Otherwise, it would be difficult to transport supplies in from outside, and the resources produced inside the plane wouldn’t be able to be shipped out.
Once that was set up, the rest of the plane’s development and so forth would be easy to handle.
He didn’t need to deal with this personally. Leveraging his relationship with the class head, he contacted the military at the Outpost Base and directly paid for an engineering team from the military to take on the project.
With such solid connections, he didn’t have to worry about the quality of the engineering work; he only needed to wait for its completion.
Next, upon returning to the New Moon Domain, he reopened the Divine Realm Gate, dispatched his Clan, and joined forces with the Dragon Country Army to attack the Ancient Dragon Nation and the Savage King Kingdom.
Though their patron Totems had left and their main forces were heavily casualties in previous battles, these two countries had not yet been conquered.
Without the support of their upperclassmen and powerful Clans, the fall of these two kingdoms was only a matter of time.
Lin Xiao returned to the Dragon God Tower and issued a series of orders to prepare for the unification of the entire plane.
Armies were continuously moved from place to place, the Kingdom’s territories kept expanding, and more and more threads of the Power of Faith connected to him, increasing the Power of Faith he received.
That day, the Dragon God Tower received several uninvited guests: representatives from civilian consortiums and corporations came to pitch the idea of private loans.
Everyone knows that developing a primitive plane is expensive, and typically an individual would struggle to fund rapid development, thus giving rise to private lending firms.
Like lenders of any era, the interest rates for private loans were exorbitantly high. After listening to their terms, Lin Xiao immediately rejected their proposals.
The private lending companies seemed very optimistic about him, offering incredibly high loans, with a staggering cap of one billion Godforce Crystals and interest rates lower than he expected, at a minimum of fifteen percent and a maximum of twenty percent, which could be considered quite reasonable.
But Lin Xiao still turned them down. The reason was simple: he was not lacking in development funds.
Setting aside the fact that he had a large plane with enough labor to develop, he wasn’t short of funds either; with such a wealthy girlfriend, why not just borrow against a mortgage from her? No interest needed.
However, no sooner had this wave of visitors left than a second group arrived.
This group wasn’t here to lend money but was a proper chamber of commerce looking to collaborate on the development of the plane.
Lin Xiao didn’t refuse them. Considering the plane’s massive size and abundant resources, selling a small part to recoup some funds made a lot of sense.
However, the small subset who wanted to buy several True God Statuses did give him pause.
Selling them was a very common practice; many who walked the path of the Son of God realm up to the Demigod Stage but lacked the talent or ability to further become a True God would choose to go to a Foreign Dimension to become an Indigenous True God. Although their combat power would be far less than that of a True God Level Son of the God realm and they would be confined to one plane, unable to leave, they would still have attained that immortal step.
Typically, the market price of a True God Status is highly variable, ranging from ten million Godforce Crystals on the low end to over a billion on the high end, with a hundredfold difference.
The specific value depends on the current plane size and energy strength, the size of the Crystal Wall System it’s in, and the potency of the Godhood obtained.
The larger the plane, the higher the potential God Level cap. The stronger the Godhood, the greater the power one possesses.
If it were a gigantic plane or a primary plane in a Crystal Wall, the price would certainly be much higher than that of a common small plane in a typical Crystal Wall.
The New Moon Domain is situated in a medium-large Crystal Wall Universe, theoretically capable of giving birth to supreme lives. This is a watershed; even without the ability or opportunity to glimpse supreme Divinity, having the condition alone can greatly increase the price of a True God Status.
