Chapter 89: Cataclysm or Ascension?! I
Chapter 89: Cataclysm or Ascension?! I
The possibilities were too grand and too many.
And this was only Limited Nature Manipulation under the third Gem Constellation, Yggdrasil!
This was only from the sacrifice of an existing Gem Recipe as he had not even added the recipe he traveled all the way to this Willow Tree Stronghold to obtain yet.
How many surprises was he about to have when this day had just begun?
—
As Alexander decimated a Beast Lord and experienced another jump in power near the Willow Tree Ascendant Stronghold.
Far from such a location.
Within the Skypeak Ascendant Stronghold ruled by the Galanis Bloodline…and yet had the Variant Beast Lord Atticus presiding over it currently.
Atticus stood on the balcony of a high-rise mansion as he looked out into the expanse of buildings and structures within the Skypeak Ascendant Stronghold.
Humans and beasts were moving in sequence as soon enough, the differences between them would be negligible.
Soon enough, humans and beasts would be joined as they welcomed Energeia Star Ascension!
Being from an extremely high position within the Peacock Lineage, Atticus knew many things as he had a lot to look forward to.
In the next moment though, his gaze shifted and turned serious as his eyes looked to the skies
There, a flash of brilliance erupted as something descended from above.
It was wrapped in a crimson gold light of royalty, with the eyes of Atticus lighting up as they saw there from this crimson gold light, the figure of a woman with seven radiant Variant Life Sockets appeared.
She was exquisite in all possible ways as her fair skin radiated the light of power and a tremendous level of life force- one that could only belong to an extremely powerful lineage!
He knew this woman and he knew her very well.
The moment she landed, she smiled with a mischievous light as her figure flashed speedily to go into the arms of Variant Beast Lord Atticus, the two of them embracing as Atticus grabbed her hair and planted his lips on hers.
It was only after a whole minute passed that this woman seemed to have remembered something and pulled away from Atticus, her gaze becoming serious as she wiped the saliva from her lips and stated straightforwardly.
"We can catch up later, because it seems that you have a problem."
"Oh?"
A problem!
"Yes, the Brightmoon Witch Seer of the Dragon Lineage has successfully made her descent into this world as the first thing that she did was to observe the movements of our forces and whether any issues would arise in the future. She saw many things, but one of the biggest ones that concerned us is that the Peacock Lineage has its forces compromised within this world of Ephesus."
…!
Compromised!
It was a shocking word to hear as before Atticus even asked for clarifications, the woman, his beloved, continued.
"The Princess of the Shindo Peacock Clan is no longer bound to the Peacock Clan. The Witch Seer has foreseen that one of the main forces that will try to hamper our advancement into this world has already bound her soul. Her soul and any souls of those that were around her should already be under the banner of this unknown Gem Master."
…!
"One of the few things that the Dragon Seer requested in exchange for this information…was the knowledge on who the Peacock Princess was supposed to be targeting, and which area she had moved around in as there, we will be able to locate this unknown force and send the strongest beings of our races before the Star Ascension comes."
The strongest beings of their races.
Atticus was still seeking to wrap his head around the bombshell that his sister was bound to another when he had just talked to her the day before!
His face was filled with burning wrath as he remembered her voice that felt like absolutely nothing was wrong not too long ago.
But he reined in his emotions as the terrifying Commander he was and asked the most important question.
"Which of our forces have made their descent into this world? Are they capable of clearing this threat with certainty?"
At these words, his beloved, Sierra, smiled.
She smiled and stated succinctly.
"With the help and guidance of the Ascendant Galanis Emperor, many Beast Lords, Beast Kings, and even a few Beast Emperors were beginning to send their bodies through. It will not be long before we have control of this world and all those that lie within i-"
BOOM!
Just as her words finished, the mansion they were in began to shake as their gazes changed
An earthquake?
The lands began to shake around them.
The couple looked at each other as their gazes became stern, their heightened senses beginning to feel a change in the flow of Energeia all around them!
It couldn't be, right?
The process that many thought was far away couldn't actually be starting at this moment, right?!
Just as the earthquake began, the gaze of Atticus further changed as he waved his hands to pull out a shattered gem crystal.
Within it, the life force of a Lord rapidly faded as the crystal broke apart.
"Dread is dead."
He spatial out these words as he returned to gaze at the shaking lands around him, his Beloved nearby becoming stern as she spoke dazedly.
"Impossible…the Seers didn't foresee anything starting right now…"
The land shook.
Slowly at first, but it felt like it was just starting!
Far from the Skypeak Ascendant Stronghold, back near the Willow Tree Ascendant Stronghold, Alexander was gazing at the tall tree he had caused to sprout when all of sudden…
HUUM!
The land around him shook.
The area around him trembled.
"Master! Are you doing this too?!"
The figure of Anastasia flashed by his side with her eyes sparkling with excitement, but Alexander shook his head as he felt the earth below his feet shake more and more.
And it didn't stop.
The vibrations felt constant, and even if it paused, the next one that came was slightly bigger in power!
His gaze instantly changed as he rose to the skies while billowing out commandingly.
"Let's go!"
He didn't say a word to the Ascendant Branch Leaders in the distance, knowing they could take care of anything else here with their power as now, he had to worry about himself…and Carthage.
He could feel that something was starting.
And he wanted to be at his home when it did so!
