The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 582 - 582 I don’t like sharing him.

Chapter 582 - 582 I don’t like sharing him.

582 I don’t like sharing him.

Zi Xingxi never thought that having a friend would be this tiresome. She pursed her lips before saying, “Fine, fine. I won’t watch it without you.”

She turned to Yi Chen and asked, “Do you mind watching something else?”

Soon after that, a familiar voice replied, “I am fine with anything.”

Lin Ruoxi, “...”

Was that her son? What was he doing there? Didn’t he say that he went to check the bedding for the bridal room and the decorations?

Lin Ruoxi almost wanted to crawl into the light brain and interrogate him. This man was getting married yet he still had time to run around with no direction.

Zi Xingxi turned the video call to Yi Chen while saying, “Your son found his way here because that lazy boy wanted help packing but I held Han Han’s cake hostage so he is doing all the work with his dad upstairs.”

Lin Ruoxi heaved a sigh hearing this but she was still worried. These two acted so calm like they weren’t getting married soon. It was the moms that were losing their hair from the stress. She was almost sure none of the two even knew what their centrepieces at the reception looked like. Better yet she knew they didn’t know where they were getting married.

“Okay, you two have fun... just don’t watch royal imposter without me. I will bring lots of snacks later so we can watch,” she said before Ming Ming showed up behind her again. This time she was wearing a ripped t-shirt which was a great improvement that is if it wasn’t written badass bitch in bold.

.....

“Are you purposefully going against me today? Is that it?” she asked before turning to Zi Xingxi and whispering,

“You should be glad you didn’t have a girl. It’s so freaking stressful. I have to deal with this, bye.”

After that, the call ended and Zi Xingxi glanced at his son in law and said,

“You heard that. Don’t have a little girl in the future otherwise, you will stress your mother out because I know you two will dump her at nana’s.”

Yi Chen, “...”

Did he want kids? No. But he knew Zi Han wanted kids or at least a kid so he was willing to compromise just as long as it wasn’t more than one. He loved spending time with Zi Han and had a very hard time sharing with anyone for that matter especially after they had been separated for years.

The feeling grew stronger and stronger. He knew it was his problem and he should get it taken care of but he hadn’t gotten around to dealing with it yet.

Zi Xingxi saw he didn’t say anything so she turned to the huge floating display and picked something else for them to watch. She didn’t want to see Lin Ruoxi’s sulking face following her around for the next few days just because she watched royal imposter without her.

She picked a mech battle show and various mech parts flew in all directions with a realistic feel to it. Just as the battle was getting very exciting Yi Chen finally opened his mouth and said,

“I don’t want to have any... I am a little selfish and um... I really don’t like sharing him with anyone. I just... in our space, I just want it to be us,” speaking his truth that he didn’t dare say out loud before.

Zi Xingxi had already seen him through a long time ago. Yi Chen never showed it on his face but Zi Xingxi could see his difficulties especially when Zi Han was with other family members and he wasn’t talking to Yi Chen for a very long time. At least if Zi Han looked at him, smiled at him or waved at him from across the room Yi Chen would feel better but this was not always the case.

Yi Chen thought he hid it well but apparently, Zi Xingxi knew about it because she was the same. She could understand what he was going through.

“I know. I can see it because we are the same,” she said and Yi Chen was a little surprised.

“I don’t know if Han Han has told you but I never got over my husband when I thought he was dead. I wanted to die with him at first. In fact, I was ready to just give birth to Han Han and give him to my dad to raise then I would perish with all the prime ministers... all of them.”

“Dark right? But when I saw this little innocent minion who was a product of the two of us... I couldn’t do it. I fell in love with that cute innocent smile that I fully embraced him and promised to give him everything he ever wanted.”

“When we fell pregnant, I wasn’t expecting it neither did I want to share my time with him with anyone else even my own kid. I thought that he wouldn’t love me any more or he would pay more attention to our son and he would forget that I exist. I was fully prepared to drop my baby by my father’s doorstep if my husband dared to ignore me but when he was gone, I realised Han Han was his gift to me. It was as if he knew if he left I would undoubtedly follow him with no hesitation.”

“It is hard trust me I know but just realise that if you do decide to have a child or children, they are a gift from each of you to each other. A product of the love that you have for each other.”

Yi Chen listened carefully and valued her advice deeply. He was the type who didn’t speak much but when it came to serious matters he had no problem asking for advice.

“You will be fine. Han Han loves you so much and I bet he doesn’t like sharing you either,” she said before turning back to the floating display to watch the mechs get shredded to pieces.

That was it. That was the end of the conversation but the wisdom he got from that short discussion would stay with him forever.
