Chapter 19: Ramalia Sol

Only an idiot wouldn't understand why someone like that appeared on Earth. Ramalia was a member of the Spiritas Race, one of the three main races of the Baulmu Alliance. She was also a reputed Stellar Scientist, known in the entire Alliance's territory and even outside it. Obviously, she was also the one put in charge of what happened to the Roaming Stellar Light.

As mentioned before, due to evolution by convergence, most intelligent races had obtained a humanoid form, more or less. Of course, for the Spiritas, it was the humans and the other races who were similar to them and not the other way around. It all depended on which race was looking at the other. The Spiritas just so happened to be one of the closest ones to humans. Nevertheless, they had one difference that anyone could identify, a tiny blue crystal on their races' foreheads.

This was not put there by them but was something they were born with. Many believed that the Spiritas' high average IQ was also due to that, the Spiritas included. While a human would take over a decade to reach a mature mindset, only considered an adult at the age of eighteen or so, the Spiritas would already achieve that by the age of seven or eight. It's just that their bodies were still at a kids' level, taking more or less the same time as humans to fully develop.

Naturally, that gave the Spiritas a huge advantage in the evolution of their race as a whole. It was also thanks to their higher intelligence that they were able to take a spot as one of the leading races of the Baulmu Alliance. Many of the Stellar Technology used nowadays was invented by them.

Aire thought about how the Roaming Stellar Light descended on Earth, so Ramalia was obviously here to look after it. However, why would she come to the Ascension Age School? After all, the phenomenon happened across the entire planet when Stella arrived.

Ramalia couldn't possibly know what Aire was thinking, so she just continued her speech as she said, "Many of you are probably curious why I would take the position of principal in a planet of humans. After all, I could do the same thing in any of my own race's planets where the conditions are many times better. Well, it's no secret if you think about it a little. Obviously, it's because of the Roaming Stellar Light."

Sure enough, that was the idea in the heads of many of the students. There's absolutely no reason for someone like Ramalia to stop on a planet like Earth. As for being a principal of a Stellar Riser School here? That would be a joke in any other situation.

"Nonetheless, I don't intend to make light of my work here. Since I'm now the principal, I will obviously command this school to the best of my abilities," Ramalia continued. "As for why I came here, that's because I believe it to be the best place to start looking at the effects of the Roaming Stellar Light."

"The Roaming Stellar Light dispersed when it arrived on this planet, so it might have done something to its populace. I'm taking the position of school principal so that I can verify what changes the human and the other few races Stellar Risers went through. I hope you all cooperate with me during this year since it might become a turning point in the era of the Ascension Age."

Quite a few couldn't help but feel excited. What if there actually were changes left behind? Could it be that humans would evolve faster now? Of course, there were also those who didn't like it. After all, it might not be a good thing. In the worst case, the Baulmu Alliance might even kill all humans to prevent problems.

After stating the reason for her appearance in the school, Ramalia finally began to explain the year's rules for the Resources Dispute Program. The majority were shocked as they looked at their own roommates. As for those who were able to afford private rooms, they received a notice in their communicators, showing which room they would have taken if they couldn't afford it. That meant that the Riser Students inside those rooms would be their teammates as well.

Of course, there were a few exceptions, like Altina's group and a few children of influential people. They had long found about it and made the arrangements, which turned into alliances of some sort between themselves.

Once Ramalia finished her part, a few other instructors and teachers took her place to say their pieces. In any case, the entire school only cared about two thingsthe new rules of the Resource Dispute Program and Ramalia's arrival. Once the ceremony was over, all the news media on the entire planet talked about Ramalia. Everyone was waiting to see what she would find out regarding the Roaming Stellar Light.

At some point, the ceremony was over, and everyone was given permission to go back to their dormitories. On the way down from the stage, one of Ramalia's subordinates was already waiting for her.

"How was it, Tulo? Did you find any suspicious case?"

That was obviously the guy's name.

Tulo then shook his head before answering, "No. The problem was that the Roaming Stellar Light caused a huge shift in the planet's Stellar Energy for a period of time. Because of that, many suffered backlashes and other problems. It's impossible to pinpoint any specific case out."

Ramalia wasn't surprised by that. First of all, they didn't even know if the Roaming Stellar Light had some use or if it was just a phenomenon caused by Stellar Energy. If that was the case, then they're just wasting their time here looking for ghosts.

"Continue the investigation. I will stay here for the foreseeable future. Also, send all the files regarding the students of this school to my terminal. I want to check out a few things."

"Yes, principal."
