Chapter 433: You Again!
"Hahahaha..."
The man in the green robe on the dragon carriage clearly enjoyed seeing the terrified expressions of the people around him. He held two beautiful women and laughed wildly while urging the driver to make the dragon carriage speed up. He threw money out of the carriage, shouting, "Commoners, fight for it! This is my reward to you!"
Ling Feng frowned deeply. There were always such brainless fools in the world who thought they were superior just because they had a privileged background.
In reality, they were nothing but idiots!
The crowd was already in chaos from the rampaging dragon carriage, and with the crystal notes flying everywhere, it became even more chaotic.
The little girl was obviously frightened out of her wits. She stood frozen, her face pale as she saw the massive demonic beast charging towards her. She covered her eyes with her tiny hands and screamed loudly.
Unfortunately, everyone was too busy scrambling for the crystal coins to notice her. The beast's massive hoof was about to crush the little girl's head and end her life brutally.
"Roar!"
In the next moment a thunderous roar echoed through the street, piercing the sky. This startled the crowd, momentarily bringing them back to their senses.
Everyone looked on in disbelief. A young man in white, holding the little girl in one arm and wielding a wooden stick in the other, had stabbed a stick through the eye of the plate-armored earth dragon. Blood gushed out.
The earth dragon let out a skyward roar before collapsing with a thunderous crash. The dragon carriage overturned, breaking the driver's leg and trapping the two women under it, leaving them bleeding and injured.
The man in the green robe, however, was agile. He leaped off the carriage at the last moment and landed gracefully to the side, his eyes filled with fury.
Ling Feng ignored him and gently touched the still trembling forehead of the little girl while smiling softly. "It's okay now, you're safe."
The girl opened her eyes and saw that the brother from earlier had saved her. She breathed a sigh of relief but still clung tightly to Ling Feng's arm, clearly shaken.
Ling Feng looked up, his eyes flashing with a cold light as he gazed at the man in green. A wave of killing intent swept over the man making him shiver.
Such a scoundrel, letting a beast run wild in the streets, was nothing but scum!
"How dare you glare at me!?" The man in green felt a bit scared under Ling Feng's gaze, but he tried to sound tough. "You brat, do you know who I am? Do you want to die?"
Ling Feng coldly stared at the man, his voice icy. "I don't care who you are, you can't just kill people like this!"
"Kill people?" The man in green laughed arrogantly, saying, "Are the lives of commoners even considered lives?"
He laughed a few more times but then remembered that his plate-armored earth dragon, brought from his family, was killed by Ling Feng with a single strike. Anger surged through him as he shouted, "Never mind the lives of those commoners, but you killed my demonic pet! Do you realize that this is a capital offense?"
Just then, the sound of hooves came from behind. A group of young men and women riding demonic horses quickly approached, stopping when they saw the scene. Behind these riders was another luxurious dragon carriage.
Seated on the dragon carriage was a young man whom Ling Feng recognized—it was none other than the young prince, Mo Lin, from the Rongqin Royal Family!
As expected, Mo Lin was accompanied by beautiful women on his dragon carriage. However, despite his hands wandering over the women, his expression seemed somewhat unnatural.
Seeing Mo Lin, Ling Feng quickly understood the situation.
It was a group of princes and noble dandies flaunting their wealth and status, leading to the earlier chaos.
The man in green, upon seeing Mo Lin arrive, immediately turned and bowed respectfully to him. He then pointed at Ling Feng, his voice filled with hatred, as he said, "Young Prince, this arrogant brat killed my demonic pet. Worse, he dared to spoil your enjoyment. This is unforgivable!"
Mo Lin squinted his eyes, looking past the man in green to the young man standing proudly in the middle of the street. His eyes twitched in recognition.
Ling Feng!
A surge of anger rose within Mo Lin. It's him again!
"It's you!" Mo Lin sprang up from the dragon carriage, his eyes blazing with fury. He clenched his fists tightly while grinding his teeth audibly.
Yet, he dared not provoke Ling Feng. The Ninth Prince, Mo Feng, had already warned him. He had even tried to use others to get rid of Ling Feng, but his plans failed while his minions fell into Ling Feng's traps. Meanwhile, Ling Feng only received a verbal reprimand from Tianwei Academy and faced no real consequences.
Mo Lin was no fool. He understood that Ling Feng must have a powerful backer and the Ninth Prince's support, making it impossible for him to deal with Ling Feng directly.
"Young Prince, should we..." The man in green looked viciously at Ling Feng, about to speak when Mo Lin raised his hand to stop him.
Mo Lin jumped down from the carriage and walked up to Ling Feng, his voice dripping with hatred. "Fancy meeting you here again!"
His voice had become increasingly sharp and thin since he became impotent.
Ling Feng looked at Mo Lin while patting the back of the little girl in his arms. He responded calmly, "Yes, here we are again, Young Prince!"
Mo Lin's expression was a mix of emotions. He had always been arrogant and domineering but had suffered at Ling Feng's hands twice. Furthermore, he had inexplicably fallen ill.
This was something he couldn't openly admit, and he had to maintain an act by frequenting pleasure houses, though he couldn't do anything meaningful there.
His bitterness was compounded by the lack of a cure despite months of searching for medical treatment in secret. Ironically, this ordeal had made Mo Lin more restrained than before. Otherwise, he would have already fought Ling Feng.
"Ling Feng, I have stayed out of your way, but today you killed my friend's demonic pet. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?"
Ling Feng sneered before saying, "Young Prince, your man was running amok with his beast, endangering lives. I intervened to prevent a disaster and saved lives. He should be thanking me."
"You're talking nonsense!"
The man in green flew into a rage while gnashing his teeth. "Young Prince, there's no need for you to handle this personally. Kid, if you know what's good for you, you'll kneel and beg for mercy. Otherwise, I’ll show you hell!"
