Chapter 480 - Human Faced Spider
Chapter 480: Human Faced Spider
?The guy's here…there are two of them.. get ready?
Axel messaged Lear as he looked through the scope of his rifle. He was positioned on a?third floor of a. nearby building.
?Lear: Got it?
…
On the other side, the Shadow Leopard had already made a mad dash towards the dome.
As soon as it reached the entrance, the beasts guarding the entrance immediately growled in a threatening gesture. They obviously didn't recognise the fellow.
But before they could do anything, the Shadow Leopard threw the bag in its mouth into the dome.
The guarding beasts suddenly noticed that there were two humans approaching and immediately became vigilant.
The shadow Leopard seeing that it has fulfilled its duty immediately jumped and shot a breath attack towards the ground.
"Boom!"
The dust and the smoke from the explosion interrupted everyone's vision and by the time, it cleared up...the guarding beasts and the two humans were facing each other while the Shadow Leopard was gone.
"Roar!!!!!!"
The two guarding beasts didn't need reason to kill humans. Seeing that someone had dared to invade their territory, they immediately pounced on them.
"What's going on?!!" The guy who had lost his bag couldn't understand how the Shadow Leopard disappeared and they ended up in this situation.
"Tsk..it's just two ferocious beasts. Kill them and get your bag from inside…" the other guy snorted.
He then slashed towards the incoming beast and left a deep gash on its side.
The beast immediately released a cry realising that it wasn't a match for the human. The cry seemed like some kind of signal for help.
The two men immediately felt something was wrong.
Next instant, the ground behind them suddenly rose blocking their path of retreat.
Now they finally knew that they had been set up by someone.
At this moment dozens of beasts of different types rushed out of the dome.
"Release the signal for help...we have been set up!!'' The stronger guy said to his partner whose bag had been stolen.
His partner nodded and took out the signal flare and shot it up in the sky.
"Bang!"
A gun shot was heard and the flare was shot down in mid air.
The duo's faces immediately turned ugly.
Lear couldn't help but praise Axel for the shot. He then immediately got ready as the next step was for him to make a move.
Lear immediately stepped on the air and went up on the roof of the dome where Mark was already present.
He took the shield from Mark which Max had handed to him. It was the same shield Lear had got from the Headmaster's treasury.
Lear nodded at Mark and walked towards the glass pane. Now all he needed to do was wait for Axel's signal.
On the other side, the duo were struggling being seized by dozens of beasts at once. When they thought it was done for them, unexpectedly bullets began to rain down in their support and the pressure on them decreased.
The two had no idea why the enemy was supporting them but it still gave them a little bit of hope. As long as they could hold on out for a while, their companions would definitely discover something was wrong and would come looking for them.
They didn't realise that was exactly what their enemies wanted….
…
Max stood on the earth wall watching the scene below as the fight continued. He even deployed his domain to support the duo and stop them from forfeiting too early.
He even used his telekinesis from time to time to help.
…
"Hasn't it been a long time? Where are those two?" One of the guys asked as he looked in the distance where the two had runoff.
Bayu had a frown on his face as well. At this moment, they saw smoke rising in the distance where the duo had runoff to…
"Let's go…" He said and then got up while others silently followed behind him.
…
?Axel: They are here…?
Lear saw the message and then without wasting another second he shattered the glass pane with a single kick.
He then jumped into the dome with his swords drawn out.
With his ability of air walk, Lear easily landed without making a noise and began to look for the thing he had come for.
"The place is huge…" Lear muttered as he looked around. He couldn't see any beast around.
As Lear was walking around, he suddenly felt that his feet had stuck onto something. He immediately looked below to see a white sticky thread sticking to his feet.
'Sh*t!'
Before Lear could free himself, he was suddenly pulled by the white thread. His body flew through the air and made several turns ramming into audience seats, sliding into the hallway, breaking through walls before finally ending up being stuck on something.
Lear looked around and yup.....he was stuck on a web. There were several eggs shells in the room.
"Clink!"
"Clink!''
..
..
Lear could hear the noise getting closer and closer. A minute later, he could see a figure with eight legs and eight eyes.
The mere sight of it gave chills to Lear. Not that he was afraid of it but he was disgusted.
Spiders were creepy!!
Especially the Human Faced One's….
Anyway, he had to do what he was here for. Lear took a deep breath in and then suddenly the blades of his swords extended.
"Swiss!"
It took more than a hundred strikes before Lear finally managed to free himself and fell to the ground.
Without any delay, Lear immediately pulled the shield in front of him and the Human Face Spider's breath attack struck him.
"Boom!"
Lear was sent flying with blood rushing out of his mouth. Even though the shield managed to block the destructive energy in the breath attack, the physical force was still enough to shake Lear's internal organs.
The Human Faced Spider didn't take any chances. The moment he saw that Lear had escaped from his webs, it attacked in order to protect its eggs.
"You wanted me to be food for your young one's….well too bad there won't be any…........young ones.." Lear laughed and the next instant every egg cracked.
They were inside an indoor stadium. There were too many things that Lear could manipulate. It only took a second for him to break all the defenseless eggs.
The Human Faced Spider released a terrible scream and its eight eyes immediately turned red as it entered into a berserk state.
Lear immediately made a run for his life and the Human Faced Spider chased after him.
Lear didn't dare to fight with it as he was not a match for it.
Earlier Max had clearly told them not to fight a Peak Savage Beast head on. Even the Manticore that Axel had thought to be Peak wasn't truly at the peak. It was only a low 3? Savage Beast equivalent to weaker mid-level Expert Tire Mage.
On the other hand, a true Peak Savage Beast was at top of 3? Savage Beast Category and could rival a weak early stage Master Tier Mage.
If Erina truly fought a Peak Savage Beast, then there was no room for discussion. It would be over even before it began.
In this Competition 3? Savage Beast could only be taken on by groups and not a lone Wolf except for a few…..and for one at peak one...there might only be one contestant....unless Max's feeling was truly correct...
Max had a certain feeling ever since he met Neo, it wasn't due to the guy in particular. But his existence had made Max ponder about another possibility…
