Chapter 245: Old Aura

Chapter 245: Old Aura

"Oh, baby, who said anything about the killing? I'm not a barbarian, I'm a Savant and dragons fascinated me."

Seth brought out the womb but kept it inside his cloak and cut the aura flow from the canvas into the womb. That way he will store more of its aura. And this time, the flow of aura increased as Seth pushed the HourGlass Influence Flow's ability to limit.

Immediately, the dragon felt danger and he began to lose his strength. In a few seconds, his body reverted to normal from its vine form and his aura drained faster than before.

Soon, the other dragon Aura was put in the womb and Seth praised the image on the canvas before he folded it gently and stored it away.

"Wow, look like you are more resilient than this limbless dragon!"

Green Thorn Dragon has held up better but the Limbless Dragon's scales have become pale and his body draining faster. Seth brought fragments of the elevated blade and began scraping away the scale that began to come off.

That was when Green Thorn Dragon understood the situation he was in and at that time Seth came toward him with a fake kind smile eyeing his green scales.

The dragon farted a green gas that was a deadly poison, immediately the human coughed and his body began to become green and his eyes became purple.

The dragon quickly struggled more to escape but he heard. "Thanks for the nactre. Now, the next dragon won't annoy me with a fart. But I need to write this event with my hand"

Seth grabbed the moving quill and wrote, "Green Thorn Dragon farted and green gas that turned people green and corrupted their lungs and airways but if one survived they became slightly immune to most dragon farts. I will spread the news that Dragon do Farts."

~You shall face degenerate demise if you insult the dragon-glorified image!~

"Oh, you don't get it right? Have you forgotten? It was your fault. I'm an honourable adventurer. You attack me while I beg you not to. I defeated you and begged for your name so that we can have reconciliation, but you refused and attacked me more.

I swore not to do this if you tell me your name but your arrogance makes you silent. Since you didn't tell me your name when I asked three times, that means you certify me to do this. I will capture dragons, study them, gather material from them, and let them go. Your situation is caused by you, you are to blame, and you bring it to all your kind.

And even if you give me your name, I will not stop." Seth said while the dragon just stared at Seth's reason.

"I will write your stories with detailed descriptions by hand and rearrange them into a storyline. I am a brave adventurer and dragon scriber. Know my name and memorize it."

"I'm…. Rabana Quadra D Reengveil Haya Jar."

~what?~

The dragon asked confused, the name seemed off.

"Ahem, …" Seth too has forgotten what he said, he has to think again to remember the words.

"Rabana Quadra Dodon Reengveil Haya Jar!"

Seth read from the book he was scribing.

~You just made that up~ the dragon eyed Seth suspiciously

Seth turned around and burst into laughter at himself for trying to act cool. But he made sure to use a Drumming Scale to stop the sound from going out.

He then faced the dragon again.

Rabana Quadra Dodon Reengveil Haya Jar was just a cool name born from different languages that means Four Corner Dragon Green Cloaked Living Roots.

This tells of his relationship with four dragons from four corners of living roots and Green Cloaked means him specifically.

"That rambling held no power!~

"It doesn't matter what my name is. Memorized it"

The dragon can perceive power in people's name and he felt nothing from this Rabana Quadra Dodon Reengveil Haya Jar. In fact, wasn't the name too long?

An hour passed and Seth felt something was changing in him, after focusing, he understood more about Hourglass Seed Ability and its Curse.

The Curse's exact nature was attracting danger to him. However, the danger can be relative, it might not be outright something that can cause harm to him, but rather anything that can hinder him in his normal pursuit of things.

Just like now he has a place to go but was being delayed by dragons. Even though Seth has decided to benefit from the encounter, he is still being hindered.

But then he wondered what else could the Hourglass pull toward him, could the danger increase exponentially or what?

That wasn't important for now as Seth hasn't felt any sense of urgency due to the Hourglass Seed Curse, in fact, he felt that he needed the curse to develop.

Another thing was the Influence Flowing Skill hasn't increased at all in any way. But he still can feel he was unlocking something.

Seth looked down, the Limbless Dragon was half dread due to its aura being well drained and the Green Thorn Dragon was flowing suit.

Seth sighed and stopped the Aura Harvest and walked away.

"These two are super weak compared to Vela!" Seth muttered as he walked away, the moment he was far away a Gawee Monster hiding sprang up from a crevice and pounced at them, they are free meals. But Green Thorn Dragon exploded with power as he flew up while grabbing the limbless Dragon with him.

Even with that, the Gawee Monster took a good bite of the Limbless Dragon's tail before diving back where it came from.

Dragons might kill each other but they will never allow any race to eat their kind—their pride will not allow that.

[Hourglass Seed: Level 4]

Seth was surprised that the hourglass level was up again. Probing, he felt the Curse had just stacked with the last one. He didn't take more steps when his Compass Script began to alert him.

"Oh, more harvest for me!"

****

It was a harrowing experience for the three dragons inside Seth's womb as they watched their kind being clapped left and right and then stripped of their aura to the point of death.

What was worth it was that there was nothing they could do. Temra can't use any Curse to bind him because of the one she already made. The others do not have the power to curse Seth enough to hinder him.

In fact, they felt a great rejection whenever they intended to use a dragon curse on him no matter how small it was.

They all knew that was a result of Seth and  Green Thorn Dragon Pact. Seth has asserted that if the dragon gave him his name then he will view and face all other dragons with mercy and not turn them into objects of study.

The stupid dragon refused to oblige and by doing so, Seth's action was considered a pact between the dragon. This showed that if the dragon did give Seth his name, then Seth would have honoured his words and not turned them into Aura Source and objects1 of scrutiny.

And even if he doesn't honour himself, then any humiliation toward the dragons would have garnered Seth pain in his ego or some bad omen to Seth.

Seth was walking confidently but deep in his heart there was some growing worry. It has been seven days since he started the journey and he knew he was very close to his destination. However, his Hourglass Seed was now level 7.

He has faced dragons and Level 10 to 20 Abhorrent monsters that were extremely powerful.

He met with Gawee Monsters but they were somewhat smart enough to run after they failed to defeat him. There were also five Gawee Beasts following him from an underground, planning an ambush on him.

There was also a very fast dragon that saved the dragons that Seth exhausted their aura and can't move anymore. He seemed to be protecting them from dying at the hand of the Gawee Monster and Beast.

So far, Seth has not met anything he can't handle but there was this feeling of uncertainty. And it was not coming from the Hourglass Seed. It was strange and ethereal.

Seth activated his Aura Sight and looked around the hundred and ten times but noticed nothing. He turned to walk away when he looked up, the moon was bright and looking at him.

'The danger is lower than when I felt moon danger' Seth thought, 'Am I meeting another ancient or is someone causing trouble elsewhere that will affect me!'

Thinking on that line Seth saw at the far end a bright silver light that illuminated the night sky. Soon that light flashed and moved at blinding speed, Seth immediately summed the glass shield above his head.

Booooom!

The silver light moved fast, scorching the land and causing Seth's ears to be dull. Not to mention the vibration caused cracks in the ground and many monsters hiding down were destroyed.

"What was that?" Seth asked.

"That was Silver Dragon Hunter. He used to cause trouble where there was an Ancient Dead Dragon lair!" Someone answered him.

Seth's neck creaked to the side and met with a middle-aged woman adorned in white attire and a golden necklace and earrings. She looked dashing and had an air of nobility.

"Thank you for the protection!" She said with a smile. And she walked out of the shield, her shadow turned into various papers that rose to become real horses, humans and other tools.

"Thank you, your excellency, for your protection!" A young maiden bowed to her master, the white captivating golden middle-aged woman.

"If I don't, who will help me carry the goods? Hehe, it's mutual actions!" The lady said with a soft chuckle.

"Ahm, good afternoon. Are you perhaps going to Paparlase Sanctuary?" Seth asked expectedly.

"Yes, I'm. Young man, is that your destination?" She asked but continued without letting Seth answer, "If that is the case, I shall guide you."

They first set up a tent where they had a small feast and talked about Gawee Land. Seth probed deeply about Paparlase Sanctuary and learned that it was one of the few kingdoms in the Gawee.

The ruler was called a King and he had an army and all the things that make a territory a Kingdom. Not to mention he was a benevolent ruler that loved his citizens and respected guests.

Strangely, the power of paper-making came from him and he has revolutionized it to such a great height that people from Gawee and outside Gawee all aimed to obtain a piece for their technology.

"Amazing. Miss Takardaniya, do you think I will get the ability to make the paper too?"

Takardanity Warq was her name and the name meant very valuable paper.

"Yes, but most people don't come for that. Tell me why you want to have that as an ability!"

Seth explained that he was a painter, a scribe, and a documenter. All this required him to have an endless supply of papers of different kinds. He then showed her some of his sketches and paintings, he also showed her Base Virgin Paper that Rena made.

"This person must be talented. State Origin is very valuable here." Takardaniya said as she caressed BVP with affection.

Seth understands they called it State Origin "Why?"

"Because every Origin paper is unique but what made it valuable was that it is the base stage of paper conversion, transmutation, crafting, designing, blueprint, mechanic and many more. Anyone with Origin paper is respected because they can now embark onto Paper Mystery."

As she explained more, Seth was able to understand it was a versatile ability that can achieve many things. For example, on the right path, Rena can make Metal paper and wooden paper. She can study more and then create machines out of metal papers and many more.

"Interesting!" Seth nodded.

"However, unless it was the King that will grant you Paper Ability I suggest you only obtain Paper Making machines." She said, "Don't worry, I will give you one that my father made. It's Grade 1 but upgradable if you use a variety of materials. I will give you another one that can make different Origin Papers too."

"Thank you, Miss Takardaniya!"

After resting they continue their journey, being with them Seth didn't have to lift a finger to fight.

He had sketched and painted the woman numerous times. As a businesswoman, she was already planning how to use Seth's skills in the kingdom's noble social class to garner respect and prestige.

"We are here. I want you to paint the surface kingdom so that I can hang it on my wall. Also, I do have various grounds close to the King, with your talent you can make a fortune."

She said as they stood on a cliff, below it was the largest canyon Seth had ever seen.

The canyon was stretched for miles and it was breathtaking. It was a massive city carved out of different types of whole stones. Tall artistic buildings with exotic designs littered everywhere, radiating grandeur and unique style.

Solid roads made of bright stones that reflect moonlight in the night but dimmed during the day time to glow in the darkness. Countless people walked on foot, on unique animals, and many were riding some sort of makeshift device. Probably made-up paper magic.

There were various plants both on the ground and on large bonsai floating above the ground. Countless flying ships look a lot like paper kites being used as transportation all across the exotic city.

"I was born here but even I got awed when I stood from this vantage point. This kingdom splendour is beyond compare, only Yellow City may try to match it!" She said as noticed Seth was frozen in place.

She looked at him but to her surprise, she found his face in terror, he was sweating furiously and his eyes bulged outward. There was a strange sound coming from.

Seth turned and bolted away with the fastest speed he could muster. He was completely out of himself with apparent insanity.

Takardaniya Warq was startled as she stared at him but then the whole city trembled and she felt a call from her master, a deep call she has never felt. Before a pulse of invisible energy originated from the King's Palace.

Seth might have been moving at high speed but his body was pulled and encased and pulled faster than the speed of sound. His mind stagnated and he fainted.

Deep in the darkness, Seth remembered the warning given to him and the Game System Notification that appeared.

[Welcome to Paparlace]

[Befriend Takardaniya Warq to have a successful interaction with the Denizens]

That's what he saw when he first glanced at the magnificent city but then when his instinct flared with no reason at the same time, two beings with him screamed in his mind.

"Seth, run away. Leave immediately, Father warned me of coming here. Run!"

That was Retina. Seth has never heard her speak with panic before now. He then felt his connection with the two red stones vanished.

~Run. Seth. Run. Please, run. Not even the moon can save you now~

That was Luana. Unlike Retina that was in fear, she was in despair, as if facing something beyond fear.

Seth Womb became silent in a way as if it was never there, his connection with it was off.

The dragons inside were like Luana, in despair.  Not only that, Seth felt as if he was going to face the moon but this time the force tasted different and malevolent.

Moon never tried to kill Seth but to convert him to its servant just like Living Roots. But this force was indifferent, it desired something from him and if he can't provide it, then his life will be forfeited.

Seth opened his eyes and found himself floating. His body was straight while standing in the air. There was a complex inscription beneath him seeping something upward toward him.

He can't see a thing as if his eyes were blank but he didn't find himself blind. Seth then activated Aura Sight, and they flooded with a thick ancient but weak aura.

Seth couldn't explain how knew it was an old aura but he felt it was, thankfully it was not burning or destroying his eyes. Perhaps that was due to him being Grade 5, if he was Grade 4 or lower, his eyes wouldn't have been able to see again.

"Aura Sense Organ, you don't seem like with a Modificators. Alas, this era is lost, no one has a clear path. No wonder very few ascend, even among the so-called high dragons and Divas."

A voice echoed in Seth's spirit, it resonated with him and he felt countless meanings from that very sentence, just like when the fire dragon spoke to him but this one felt different, it was tired, angry, filled with disdain.

Seth understood a few things that were profound while the rest elude him because he has no context to comprehend them.

The first was the Aura Sense Organ, a series of organs that can sense aura and he happened to have one, his eyes.

Two, the Modificators were a group, or civilisation that modified their body to obtain something better or one that served a unique purpose. And usually, they may modify their eyes for better vision or see aura like Seth.

Clear Path, Ascending and Lost, Seth can only make his own assumption but he knew dragons and Diva were species that are being respected but now held a disdain.

Whenever a higher being spoke, the lower being's mind will go into contemplation to read and understand what they meant by default even if lower beings do not intend or want to.

"What do you want from me!" Seth forced out but not by mouth by only projecting his thoughts. Which was strange even to him.
