Chapter 202: Carnivalistic Forest
Chapter 202: Carnivalistic Forest
*****
He found his mind depleted but the red river did as he assumed. All the people were pulled out one by one as the liquid wrapped them off.
He stored what was left of it because the burning part of the well had burnt a great portion of it.
Many also have fainted due to heat and lack of oxygen.
"Master Seth!"
Seth turned and met with an Old man, the chief of Vira Sanctuary where he met Zambia and the rest.
"Chief!" He said before he slumped down, "I can sleep since you are here!"
The old man watched the player sleep peacefully and when the sun was rising, he woke up. They exchanged pleasantries before he was given some food to eat and drink.
But when Seth looked at the place where the adult dragon breathed, he was flabbergasted. Half a kilometre radius was scorched down and there was a huge hole still red hot, exactly where he left that little monster. Cracks spread all the way from there in all directions and they were still red hot.
"Baby Dragon, Young Dragon, Young Adult Dragon and this is the work of Adult Dragon!" The old chief explained. Seth took a deep sigh in anxiety.
"Was it chasing you?" He was asked
"No. It attacks a ball of fur something!" Seth said.
"Damn. That Gawee Monster was evolving, that's why the dragon was here!" An old lady said, that scared the people more than the dragon fire on the ground.
"Are you sure grandma?" A young man with a crossbow asked.
"Yes. I sensed it, the monster's energy was changing faster than normal before it disappeared, thankfully the dragon was here to destroy it!"
Gawee Monsters can gang up on a wounded Baby dragon and even get to kill it, but Gawee Beast was clearly as strong as baby dragons; some were even stronger.

Another thing was Gawee Beast can't be killed by anything but things similar or as powerful as dragon breath.
They also have powerful instincts that made them avoid any powerful dragon and they were as smart as foxes or even more.
They can lurk in a Sanctuary and terrorize them. If they become bold they can form a group and track and follow baby dragons for days or months till they found a chance to strike. They are so cunning that people prepare to face dragons and died faster than the beast.
Seth was surprised by the information, what if the dragons knew he made that? What would they do?
"So, what brought you here deep into the Gawee!"
"Ahh, I was looking for you!"
"Us?" The chief asked with raised eyebrows. Seth nodded and he came clean.
"I'm doing a class quest. And to fulfil it I need to turn my Fake Village into a Real Village. To do that was to bring people inside."
The NPCs were a bit surprised before the crossbowman asked, "Are you a temporal warrior?"
Seth shook his head.
"To be a chief, you need to be a temporal warrior. The dangers of this place can only be handled by them!" The man added.
But the old man was interested and he asked, "Class Quest? What category?"
"Special Class: Amma!"
The old man and woman nodded as they eyes him meaningfully. More elders come close to listen to the immortal.
"Guard, Guardian, civilian, soldier or what profession!"
"Noble!"
"Wow. That was hard to get. Usually one has to grow from a civilian up!" The old chief said.
"The question is, where did the village reside!" The old lady asked.
"In Living Roots!" Seth blurted out as he stared into their eyes. That was his absolute truth, no deception, if they will not come, he will try to convince them and if that fails, he will seek others.
"Are you an idiot? That place even dragons avoid it." A middle-aged man blurted out in shock.
"It pushes all kinds of monsters and dragons but allows humans," Seth announced.
"All of you, come with me!" The old chief shouted and everyone became like a zombie and stood carrying their stuff.
Seth was surprised, he looked around and found more than 30 people, but noticed other old wells far away and people coming out from there, their eyes too were dull. Now they were about 200+
"What…?" Seth wants to ask.
"Don't talk to him. He has them under his control. This way, any monster, dragon or human will not see us moving as a massive group. As for us, we will not get tired even after he loses control of them. Now, you lead us to the Living Roots." The old lady was the only one that was awake.
"I don't want to force them!" Seth asserted.
"Most people will not know what they want. But don't worry. He is our chief and he has kept us alive, that is why many follow us when we become nomadic. You know we aren't this populated." The woman was calm and patient.
Seth hesitated as he looked at them, this time he remembered Redop and Shadow Stealer. All of them weren't normal. And now he looked at the now calm old man that had his eyes half closed.
"He trusts you, as we all do to him. Just guide us there!"
Seth commenced to walk and they followed him. They took a detour around the scorched land toward Living Roots. Soon after sunset and under the moon their speed increased. Only Seth and the old last were drinking water, the rest were still in their zombie state.
Seth found that he wasn't moving as fast as before as it took him only a single night to reach them but they were spent one day and one night and there were no Living Roots in sight.
It was then that he realized that they were far away from the forest but because the moon blessed him, he found them fast but now the speed has reduced because he was driving 245 people. And as the sun rose, the speed had reduced compared to night under the moon.
He remembered his quest and called it.

But he has 245 people with him. "I should be given more achievements!" Seth grumbled but became silent as he saw the old lady looking at him strangely.
Sunset and night came, and Seth couldn't find how far he was but the old woman said. "We are moving faster than normal. I can sense the breeze of nature from here."
"Normally, how long will it take us?" Seth asked
"Two to three weeks!" She said casually. Seth didn't help but look at the moon and then at his legs. He activated Aura Sight and noticed there was a very thin halo from him that spread to everyone following him.
"Usually, the old chief might need to rest but he was keeping up with your halo!" She added.

And quest progression has increased by 35% now. Seth nodded and he even had an idea to slow down but he felt that he shall not do that. So he picked up speed.
Before sunrise, they were seeing the trees. They sway in the wind as they welcome Seth. He always felt that was the case.
They reached the first tree when the first sunlight peeked. The old chief turned off his ability and the people regained their senses.
"I believe Master Seth's words. So I will join him in his village!" The old chief said and entered the forest.
"We can certainly enter." A boy asked.
"Apparently yes!" The old chief said.
"You should have consoled us? But you just dragged us here." an elder wasn't pleased.
"I'm sorry. But the dragon will surely come to check if that thing is truly dead!" The old chief said.
"He was on his way," the old lady said to the people, "I felt it, if we didn't leave as we do he would have tracked us!"
