Chapter 659: Chapter 653: Returning home
“In my personal opinion, Your Highness, you should return to your home galaxy. Furthermore, I’ve detected a substantial amount of money in your possession. If you use this money, you can quickly consolidate the resources in your territory. Once your territory’s resources are harnessed, you’ll be able to establish a firm footing in the Galactic Federation.” Luna Starfield suggested.
“So you’re saying, I should unify my home galaxy.” Finn Lewis asked curiously.
“Not necessarily, ruling doesn’t always mean unification. In fact, the overt rule by the nine major royal families over their respective star domains isn’t really unified. As long as sufficient influence is retained and the absolute lifelines are controlled, who appears to be in power isn’t important.” Luna Starfield answered, shaking her head.
“So, just like how the Federation ostensibly rules, but it’s actually the nine major royal families that are in control?” Finn Lewis asked with a chuckle.
“It would be fair to say that the current Federation officials are merely a coalition of states. The baseline control is nearly lost.” Luna Starfield responded, shaking her head.
“It appears that you understand things quite well. I’ve underestimated you.” Finn Lewis said, grinning.
“Despite my significant differences from truly wise creatures, I possess superior advantages in certain aspects such as intelligence and data analysis.” Luna Starfield returned with a smile, “I hope to be able to assist you in the future.”
“Surely.” Finn Lewis nodded, “Since you’ve said so, it seems like my next step is to return Earth. At the very least, I should first improve Earth’s technological strength.”
“Establishing a bank would be a wise choice.” Luna Starfield offered a piece of advice right away.
Finn Lewis was taken aback before expressing his surprise. This Starfield Luna… she was truly impressive, far beyond what Olivia Thatcher and the others were.
“Go on.” Finn Lewis encouraged curiously.
“It’s really simple. Your Highness, you have an ample amount of star credits. Currently, your realm lacks the technology necessary for the Star Bank to establish a branch there. But the substantial amount of star credits you hold can serve as a mediator. You could establish a bank on Earth and use your financial strength to exchange for local currencies within your realm. For the nations on Earth, without star credits, no one would conduct trading with them if they wish to purchase higher-tech products. As a result, if they want to purchase those products, they can now be tied to the star credits.” Luna Starfield straightforwardly outlined a system.
“Mmm, that’s one method.” Finn Lewis nodded.
“Of course, you should also have your own armed force within your palm,” Luna Starfield said with a slight frown.
“But you wouldn’t need much. With the current technological level of your realm, a single battleship could pose a significant military threat to your entire territory.” Luna Starfield added.
Finn Lewis chuckled: “You’re quite involved. Speaking of which, I’ve ordered a battleship from the Death Star. I’m not sure when it’ll be delivered, but it shouldn’t take too long.”
“Oh? Your Highness indeed has a good eye. Starting from the Death Star could help solve a lot of troubles. Plus, you can purchase a lot of things there, things that would be hard to buy from the officials. Starting with the Death Star makes things simpler.” Luna Starfield commented, nodding.
“Mhm, I will return as soon as possible.” Finn Lewis was deep in thought.
“Let’s leave for now.” Luna Starfield suggested with a friendly tone, “However, Your Highness, you can implant this into the skin near your ear. That way, you can hear me directly when I talk, and vice versa.”
“Sure, let’s deal with that later. Right now I want to ask about something else. If I return to my territory, can I connect to the StarNet? If memory serves right, that should be a relatively remote area. It won’t be easy to connect to the StarNet, right?” Finn Lewis inquired.
The Solar System’s location is already on the edge of the Galactic Federation. Any further out and we’d be outside Federation-controlled territory. It ought to be challenging to connect to the StarNet from there. Moreover, the distance is at least several thousand light-years, making it not so easy to establish a connection given that vast span.
Upon hearing Finn Lewis’s question, a triumphant smile flashed across Luna Starfield’s face, her eyes lighting up in amusement. “Your Highness, you’re underestimating the StarNet. I can guarantee that you can absolutely connect to the StarNet within your realm without any issue.”
Looking at the triumphant Luna Starfield, Finn Lewis was somewhat surprised: “You’re sure I can connect?”
“Absolutely. I know where your realm is. There’s information about your territory in your family crest. I can guarantee that you can connect to the StarNet from there, and the speed certainly will not be affected. Of course, there will be a bit of a delay when transmitting data from within the Federation Star District, but it won’t be too long. You can rest assured, Your Highness,” Luna Starfield pronounced confidently with her chin held high.
If she hadn’t been a virtual character simulated out of nothing, Finn Lewis would’ve thought she was a real person, given her perfect expressions.
“Alright then, in that case, I can certainly take you along. Otherwise, if there’s no network there, I guess it won’t be possible to bring you with me.” Finn Lewis said, laughing.
“Hmm, I exist based on the StarNet. Of course, I could exist without it. But if that were the case, the hardware in your possession wouldn’t be large enough to accommodate me. My volume is quite substantial.” Luna Starfield acknowledged with a nod.
“Alright, let’s prepare to depart.” Finn Lewis pondered for a moment, picked up the device that resembled an injection gun from the box, implanted the invisible earpiece underneath his skin, stored the object containing Luna Starfield in his pocket, closed the box, and headed out.
Once Finn Lewis arrived, Dunn Monty was anxiously pacing back and forth outside. Seeing Finn Lewis emerge, Dunn Monty hurriedly asked: “Your Highness, is everything okay?”
“Everything’s fine. I just received my personal AI, and had a little chat with her. This personal AI’s level of intelligence is really high.” Finn Lewis said, laughing.
“That’s because Your Highness is part of the royal family, so the level of personal AI assigned to you is higher.” Dunn Monty, who had some understanding of this, respectfully replied.
