Chapter 371: “Forgotten Memories”
Chapter 371: “Forgotten Memories”
Chapter 371: “Forgotten Memories”
Sean’s thoughts drifted to that summer of 1899 as he chewed the food in his mouth.
The one who left the reminder for him was Grindelwald, who traveled to the past. From this point of view, he should be the one who tampered with that letter.
Otherwise, Bathilda would not be open when he met him, and the hints Grindelwald gave all point to Nurmengard’s underground prison.
Sean noted the Grindelwald who traveled back as the old Grindelwald, and the one on the original timeline was called the real Grindelwald.
Old Grindelwald asked him to go to the underground prison to discover all this. If the real Grindelwald hadn’t escaped prison, he would have discovered all this.
Is this what he really plans? Allowing himself to get in touch with the real Grindelwald, who has been imprisoned for nearly a hundred years?
Sean had a headache. At that time, he would probably be attacked and cursed.
Another point is that the most urgent task must be to solve the world that is about to change, which will inevitably require cooperation from the real Grindelwald.
Sean thought about it. He didn’t even realize that the food in his mouth had already been chewed and swallowed.
Hermione and Daisy looked at each other. Daisy moved cautiously to Hermione’s side for fear of disturbing Sean, who was contemplating.
“Hermione, do you feel that Sean has been a little weird lately?” She lowered her voice.
Hermione shook her head, “Maybe those things are really troublesome. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be so distressed.”
“There’s nothing in his mouth, there is nothing in his mouth. While Sean is at it, can I have something?”
“You wanted to eat Sean’s food, huh? Don’t you think I know that Sean has always sneaked desserts for you? From now on, I will strictly control your food.” Hermione frowned and reprimanded her.
Daisy let out a low wail as she leaned on Hermione. However, after she saw that Hermione’s unhappy expression eased, Sean’s mouth curled up slightly.
Sean didn’t realize that he had been in a trance for a long time. He patted his head, smiled at Hermione and Daisy, and immediately emptied the rest of the food on the dinner plate.
He glanced at the two, thought awhile, and asked, “Do me a favor. Promise me that you only look at the problem I’m having at face value and don’t think about it too much.”
Hermione and Daisy looked at each other and nodded.
“Let’s put it this way. If you see another me, I have no memories of you two or our life together. What would you do if you wanted to have a good relationship with me?” Sean asked.
Hermione was subconsciously assuming that Sean was referring to someone, but she immediately realized that she shouldn’t do this and quickly stopped that thought.
Daisy tilted her head, “Talk to you directly? You have such a good characteristic. As long as I intend to make friends with you, you will respond similarly.”
Saying that Daisy blinked her eyes, “Besides, I still know that you have—”
She was hinting about his Animagus.
Sean thought about it and added some conditions, “Well, the me who has no memory may be very paranoid. Because I have gone through many things, I am likely to be hostile to you two from the beginning.”
Hermione gave him a strange look, “Is there any reason to ask? You’re the kind of person who was serious enough to take everything around you, so you would always be really on guard toward everything.”
She continued, “Although I really want to say that while Daisy and I are your best friends, we can definitely make you trust us. But you to consider the matter at face value.”
“If you lose your memory, you will always be wary. You will definitely not believe us according to your personality, but you will not hurt us right away. You will definitely find a way to investigate the background of our hardships and confirm what we did together through other things.”
After these words, Sean shrugged his shoulders. He has to admit that Hermione is very good at analyzing. His own personality is somewhat similar to Grindelwald’s, except that he is more sinister and arrogant than himself.
Hermione sighed and continued, “With your character, you wouldn’t believe it. But…”
“But what?” Sean asked.
Daisy picked up what Hermione hadn’t finished. “You will always be moved slowly. Even if you use Hermione and me at the beginning for your tool, your hatred will gradually disappear, your enemies will also disappear, and you will find out that ‘Oh, these two girls are treating me nicely.'”
As Daisy spoke, her smile grew, “Then, you will fall into a dilemma. The longer it takes, the lower your defenses will be, and your emotions will also be mixed in. Like feeling guilty that you don’t remember us, but we do, and wondering about you being so disconnected from us in the beginning.”
Hermione crossed her arms and nodded.
“Maybe you will come to us to apologize for it. Hermione and I pretend to be unhappy and say, ‘Oh, Sean. How could you do this to us? You didn’t choose to trust us when you were at a loss?'” Daisy choreographed the scene mockingly.
“And then catch you off guard and make you speechless.” Hermione raised her eyebrows.
The two laughed together. Sean stared blankly at the two, who were laughing and dazzled.
After a while, he laughed and murmured, “I guess that’s true…”
Hermione bit her lips with a smile and just looked at Sean.
“Sean, feelings can be shared with each other, and I will make sure that you are the one who can feel it.”
Daisy also nodded seriously.
Sean looked at the two and smiled, “Yes, that’s right.”
Yes, feelings can be felt. Whether it is the love between lovers, the love between friends, or the love between family members, true feelings cannot be deceived. Watching him laugh, Hermione laughed too, and Daisy laughed too. He doesn’t know why that happened, but the three laugh happily.
Hermione said with her cheeks on her hands, “Besides, you just lost your memory about us. You didn’t say you forgot your whole family. You’ll be looking for them, and I know Ella really well.”
“Yes, she has been asking me to call you all day during the summer vacation. Huh?” Sean was taken aback.
Although the old Grindelwald does not have the memories of these years, he has the memories of the past. He will find people he knows—for example, his aunt, Bathilda Bagshot.
Sean raised his head. He took a deep breath and stood up straight away.
He turned his head and smiled at the two, “Thank you. I seem to have understood the main point of the matter.”
Hermione and Daisy were momentarily taken aback, smiling at him, and nodded simultaneously.
“If things go well, I might still be able to make it to dinner. If not, please save some food for me.” Sean waved his hand and strode towards the door.
Just as he opened the door of the Room of Requirement, Daisy called out to him from behind.
“Wait, I forgot to say something.”
“Huh?” Sean turned around.
Daisy smiled, “It’s still related to the question just now. Suppose you lose your memory one day and can only trust yourselves. When you see us, at least make good of us later if you need something.”
Daisy’s voice became smaller and smaller, but Sean could clearly hear every word she said.
He nodded, “I will.”
He pushed the door out, and only two were left in the Room of Requirement. Hermione glanced slightly at Daisy, who was standing. Daisy blinked at the place where Sean disappeared, then turned around, shaking her head.
“Hehe, isn’t what I said very good?” She smiled.
“Well, it’s good enough.” Hermione paused and said with a smile.
Daisy turned sideways, twirling her robe with one hand and holding Hermione with the other.
“Also, Sean is nodding at you, and I can see it clearly.”
“Really?”
—–
The drizzle of rain hit the road, splashing the muddy water. Then, the water splashes.
A boy was pushed down heavily at an intersection, and the food in the basket was scattered all over the floor.
“Capone, you were the one who reported to the teacher last time, right?” Several boys in raincoats surrounded Capone and asked viciously.
“No, I didn’t.” Capone Roman retorted.
It seems that this is not the first time these people have bullied him.
“I don’t care. The teacher called me and he gave me an extra lesson, now I will give you a lesson too.” The fat boy grabbed Capone by the collar and picked him up.
Next to him, another one kicked the scattered food on the ground and said mockingly, “You’re delivering food to that old woman who can’t walk? Hah, I guess she would. She’s the only one who will buy things from your family.”
“The poorest person in Godric’s Hollow and the most useless son he adopted.”
“It’s normal for a waste to feed a waste.”
They laughed sinisterly. Capone’s eyes were cold, and his fists and teeth were clenched tightly.
“What? How dare you look at me like that?!” The fat boy became even more arrogant.
Capone glared at him. The anger in his eyes became almost dark. However, he finally lowered his head to avoid his sight. He can’t let his father down. He has to endure it. As long as he goes to school for one more year, he can avoid these bastards.
Capone’s action made the fat boy feel a little bored. He spat, then narrowed his small eyes and showed a smile.
“Anyone want to see Capone’s underwear?” He shouted happily.
The other children happily agreed. Capone’s eyes widened suddenly, his chest continued to be pulled up, and he struggled. But the fat boy’s strength is too great.
Just as the fat boy grabbed Capone’s belt, there was a shout from afar.
“Tch, Melanie is here, you’re lucky.” The fat boy left Capone alone, waved to his followers, and walked away.
Capone lay down on the ground and took a few deep breaths. He touched his wet clothes, put the raincoat on his body, and picked up the scattered food.
A blond girl holding an umbrella ran over, “Did they bully you again? Is it David? I’m going to find my dad!”
Capone shook his head, “Don’t bother him.
Melanie glanced at him sullenly but stopped talking and knelt down to help him pick up the things scattered.
Capone sped up his speed, roughly grabbed the food in her hands, said, “Thank you,” and walked away quickly. Melanie wanted to catch up but found that he was running very fast, although his clothes would get wet and disappear from her sight.
She held an umbrella, looked at his figure, and could only stamp her feet angrily. Capone walked quickly with the basket in his arms and finally came to an old building.
This is not the first time he has come here to deliver food, but the atmosphere here always makes him a little creepy. Just stepping into the courtyard made him feel like he was stepping into another world.
However, it is much better than having to encounter David and his followers.
Capone knocked on the wooden door, and soon, an old woman opened it.
“Oh, Capone. Thank you, thank you.” The old woman thanked him and seemed to want to hand him a piece of fruit.
“You’re welcome, Ms. Bathilda.” Capone quickly handed over the food and took half a step back.
He has seen her weird fruit a long time ago. All he can do is reply to her back and just run away quickly afterward.
Capone said goodbye politely and ran away quickly.
“What a good boy…” Bathilda muttered.
When she picked up the food and was about to return to the house, she saw another familiar figure standing at the yard’s entrance.
“Oh, you’re?” Bathilda’s eyes widened.
Sean greeted her, “Long time no see, Ma’am.”
Bathilda opened her mouth slightly and nodded suddenly, “Sean, Sean Wallup?”
“Yes, I’m glad you remembered me.”
Bathilda seemed to want to say something, but she just opened her mouth in the end.
She pointed in another direction, “It’s at Dumbledore’s house. Go, child.”
Sean stepped forward to help her return to the house and nodded to her. After that, he strode towards the already dilapidated Dumbledore’s house.
