Chapter 129: “Two Amazing Young People”
Sean looked at the two, their smiles were so dazzling at that moment. He lowered his head, squeezed the letter in his hand, and suddenly felt a sense of fear.
When Bagshot received this letter, she should not have forgotten about it. Combined with the missing package, could it be that someone has tampered with it?
Maybe it was a spell or a potion that caused the culprit to make Bagshot forget the letter and steal the package simultaneously, causing Dumbledore and Grindelwald’s relationship not to be repaired when they were young.
Is the method that allows people to enter memory on the letter also written by this person? Sean shakes his body. Who could have been doing all of this?
In the room, the two chatted happily. Dumbledore poured more wine and took a sip from his glass, “Gellert, when I was studying the history of Herpo yesterday, I learned an interesting ancient magic.”
Grindelwald showed an interested expression, “Let’s hear it. I’ve always been curious about your rune magic.”
Dumbledore took out his wand, “First, use the wand to draw the symbol of “Frost” in the rune, and when the wand draws the magic power, you have to imagine the appearance of the ice and snow in your mind.”
A large gust of frosty air appeared instantly, firmly sealing the wine glass in Grindelwald’s hand.
“That’s perfect.” Grindelwald carefully examined the ice cube in his hand, “Albus, your ability to control magic is so good. I’m jealous of you.”
Dumbledore smiled slightly, and he showed a slightly smug expression.
Grindelwald also took out his wand, and a dazzling orange-red flame emerged from the tip of his wand. Under Grindelwald’s control, the flame turned into a miniature version of a phoenix. It unfreezes the ice around the glass, and the wine in it has not even evaporated.
“Such a beautiful spell.” Dumbledore exclaimed.
Sean’s eyes widened. He didn’t expect that he would be able to learn new magic at this moment. Something happened in his panel, and the information about two spells appeared on his panel.
Freezing Curse (Ancient Magic) Lv 0: Proficiency 0/20000
Divine Fire Curse (Ancient Magic) Lv 0: Proficiency 0/20000
The corner of Sean’s mouth twitched. He didn’t gain any proficiency from both of them, demonstrating his magic. He felt that he doesn’t have any talent in rune magic.
The scene continued. Dumbledore and Grindelwald seemed to have things to talk about. They talked about ideals, magic, and history. Although Sean was a little sad, he quickly recovered from it.
Both of these two people have ridiculously high knowledge. Sean feels that he has benefited a lot of things by just listening to their chats. After a topic of why ancient magic had declined over the years, Dumbledore mentioned Herpo again.
“Gellert, don’t you find it strange that ancient magic has declined lately? Just like Herpo, his information has become increasingly blurry as time passes.”
Grindelwald leaned on the chair and touched his chin, “Yes, in the information we found, there is almost no description of Herpo in his later years. Just like the ancient magic, they shine at that time, but decline with as the time goes.”
Grindelwald drank the rest of the wine and licked his lips, “I’m a little curious about the Horcrux that Herpo researched.”
Dumbledore frowned, “That kind of thing is meaningless.”
“Of course, Albus,” Grindelwald showed a smile, “An empty life is disgusting no matter how long it is. The Horcrux itself did not attract my interest. I just thought about a way to split your souls. What if Herpo had a way to make his own Horcrux? No one mentions that in the records.”
“You thought that Herpo is still alive?”
Grindelwald smiled, “Who knows, just a hunch. Just like the flickering and decline of ancient magic, a new era is about to come.”
At this moment, the entire space distorted, and Sean felt his body lose weight, and when he regained consciousness, he had already returned to the bathroom. He looked into his hand and found that the letter had disappeared.
“Is it only a one-time thing?” Sean muttered.
“Sean, did you fall asleep in the shower?” Harry’s voice rang out from outside.
“Sorry, I’ll be finishing soon.” Sean replied he had stayed in the letter for a long time. He washed himself hastily and walked out of the bathroom.
He lays on the big soft bed in the Potter’s room and digests what he saw today. He finally understood the past of Dumbledore and Grindelwald, and he was very concerned about the human experiment discussed previously.
He is now almost certain that Ariana has turned into a phoenix, and her soul may be trapped in the phoenix’s body.
Or maybe, the phoenix’s soul is trapped in Ariana’s body, and Ariana’s soul may be wandering. Doesn’t this correspond to what Dumbledore said, that he had not solved his sister’s problem?
The more Sean thought about it, the more he felt that this conjecture was very likely.
What made Sean even more concerned was who stole the package that Grindelwald wanted to hand over to Dumbledore. And what kind of item that was put in the package?
Only the letter was left behind, and it also became a mini pensive for Sean to enter the memories of the two when they were young. Sean has a feeling that behind what just happened now seems to be lined and guided by an invisible hand that controls this world.
He thought about his existence in this world. Is he here and causes an intervention in the story, or is he just another pawn?
Sean was getting moodier. Although, at present, nothing too bad happened. He was powerless, and he always is put into a situation that was beyond his capability. Moreover, he still remembers the prophecy he was involved.
Probably due to mental exhaustion, Sean fell asleep, and Daisy woke him up the next day.
“Sean, it’s time for lunch.” She knocked on the door, but no matter how hard she spoke, her voice was small and soft.
