Chapter 125 - -38<Third-Floor-2>

As Ruth saw the poster, she saw that this was a bounty poster. It was mentioned in the poster that this deformed figure was wanted dead or alive. And the person in the poster is said to be referred to as Arvin. It was the same name that the black-cloaked man mentioned…

"What do you know about this guy?" Ruth asked.

??

"Our men contacted me as they saw the poster. Then I instructed them to find out more about this guy. Our men uncovered that this guy is an earthling. During the ritual of God's pillar, he was selected as an excellent ability user. But he ran away after that. Because of his deformed face, no one was willing to take him. But the young master eventually sold him. But then he ran away…" The butler said.

"What happened then?" Ruth asked.

"Well as the months passed by, young master men did not get any information about that boy. So they assumed that they died. But then resurfaced again. When Mistress sent some mana stones to the young master. Arvin stole those mana stones from under the nose of young master Alman. That is why young master printed this bounty poster." The butler said.

"That is absurd… Did he steal mana stone from an acolyte? How the hell did this happen?" Ruth asked.

"Apparently those men didn't have any idea how he pulled it off. Arvin not only stole the safe in which the young master was keeping the mana stones, but he also stole all the sacks of grains and other food items that were stored in the storehouse." The butler said.

"A spatial artifact? How the hell did he get his hands on a spatial artifact?" Ruth asked.

"That itself is a mystery mistress. And apparently, young master Alman had a big fight with him. He was able to injure him. But none of the men present there were able to find any trace of the intruder. They still don't know how the hell he entered the premise." The butler said.

"It seems to me that someone was trying to use the name of the earthling to con my son. Because I don't think that there is a way in hell that someone would be able to pull off something like this without any prior training." Ruth said.

"I agree. But madame the thing is that after that no one had heard or seen this earthling ever again. It was like that he vanished from the face of the Yggdrasil. Maybe the guy which exploited the name of earthling took care of Arvin." The butler said.

"Hmm, that is most likely is the case. But just to be sure, take this poster and give out a heavy bounty on this guy. And send it to all the floors. I have to be sure before I contact the being again. Follow every leads that you get about this man's whereabouts. Don't leave any stones left unturned. If this guy is dead then I want his body. And if he is alive then I want him alive." Ruth said…

…..                                                                                                                                                            Arvin promised himself that if a day comes where he would meet Loki in person, he personally make sure to choke him till he died a very horrible death. Arvin liked and respected Loki as he was the one guy that made him what he was today. He was the one guy that gave him the strength to stand up for himself. But he was keeping too many secrets.

Like Arvin's angry fiasco a few hours ago. He did not get any valid explanation from neither Hela nor Loki about what had happened or how it happened. Arvin knew that it was not his fault that he became so angry. After all, it was not in his nature to get so angry because of something like this. He had a feeling the Hela had an idea about what could have happened. But she did not tell him anything. And she also left him…

Arvin checked out, he was able to use his inventory. So he wore his clothes and started walking towards the general direction of the Ascending tower. It was a good thing that Arvin had already made some arrangements for this floor, so he would be able to survive in this desert for a month or two.

But the thing that troubled Arvin was the fact that he could not transform. That was the main problem. He had been accustomed to moving around here and there without getting in eyes of anyone. But his face is known throughout the whole third, due to courtesy of the Aurora Clan. Now as he cant transform, he had to make sure that he doesn't fuck up….

Arvin ventured through the sandy desert for 2 weeks straight. While going through the desert Arvin tried and tried but he was not able to talk to either Hela or Loki. No one replied. Arvin always thought that one day would come when Loki would have to go away and he would be left alone in this world. But he didn't think that the day would come this soon.

And it may be the heat talking about he was kinda missing that blabbermouth…

It was only after two weeks of continuous travel, Arvin came across something that raised his spirits. He found a piece of paper…

In the vast sandy desert finding piece of paper was not a big thing. It was not even a significant thing. But it still raised Arvin's spirit because when he opened the paper he found sticky snot in it. It was still sticky and yucky.

Arvin's spirit was raised because the snot was sticky. Based on the temperature of the desert this snot should have become solid or would have evaporated it has been here for a long time. But it was sticky which meant that wherever this roll of paper came from, it was recently thrown here recently.

Arvin then started to search the place around the area where he found the snot for more clues. And he did find the exact paper a few meters north in the direction of the previous location of the paper. He then looked for more clues in the opposite direction but he couldn't find anything else…

In the sandy desert, footprints get vanished with time. So Arvin had no way to finding out in which direction the person who threw this paper went. So now he to gamble in which direction he should go…

He could walk in the direction of the ascending tower. This way he would be able to reach his destination. But there was no way to tell about how much time it would take. So Arvin thought that taking a gamble was a way better option than walking aimlessly. So Arvin started walking towards the direction where he found the second paper.

And his gamble pay offed… Arvin walked in that direction constantly and he eventually came across an encampment…

Arvin came across a very big camp. He could see various fires in the camp. If he had to estimate then he would say that are around 100 people in the camp…

Arvin was not clear about what he saw. But according to his eyes, he could see that these guys were using an animal that has a mouth of hippo and body of camel as their mounts.

Arvin was tempted to steal one of their mounts and get out of here. But several people were taking rounds to secure the camp. So all he could do now was to watch from the far away. Arvin didn't have his abilities or otherwise, he could have infiltrated the camp by now. That is why he thought that it would be better to keep his distance from now.

Now Arvin regretted not buying a telescope on the third floor. If would have bought a telescope then he could have searched for any weak spots in this encampment…

Lying on his belly Arvin was thinking about what he should do? But then he started thinking that it was futile to lie here and wait for some miracle to happen. So it would be better if he changes his vantage point for now. He should change his vantage point and look for any holes in the encampment….

So Arvin moved from one sand dune to another. And soon he came to sand dune which was very close to the camp. To make sure that he doesn't get spotted, Arvin took a dirt-colored blanket from his inventory and covered his body with it. And then he started slowly crawling towards the camp.

Still hiding under the blanket Arvin was making his way towards the camp, it was when he heard something. Someone was walking up to him. He knew that even without his abilities he was very strong. So he would be able to handle anything that comes his way. But there was no way to tell that whether this camp has someone of his caliber.

So Arvin's heart started beating faster and faster. From the sounds, it seemed like more than one person was walking towards him….
