Chapter 65
Chapter 65
Inside the baron’s mansion, Jake sat on a luxurious sofa with Erin on his lap. He had changed his looks again. Jake was impersonating as a young heir of a noble family.
Using [Bewitching Gaze] on the guards, and because of his high charisma, Jake could enter the mansion.
The baron’s second wife was entertaining them, the noble visitors, until Leo came.
Here, Erin was supposed to act as his steward. But she turned defensive as soon as she saw the baron’s wife. She acted as his concubine and aggressively sat on him. Crossing her thighs, pressing her ass on his crotch while hugging his neck.
At first, her bad manners disturbed the baron’s wife. But Jane forgave it since Jake was a viscount’s son or she thought he was.
At this moment, the baron finally came with his butler behind him. Two 1st Circle knights also entered the room.
Leo Erswen was a decently tall brunette with a pair of sleepy, blue eyes. Because of his high intake of alcohol, aging was catching up on him too fast. Today, he wore a luxurious shirt under a beige long coat. A pair of leather shoes covered his feet and smooth, cotton trousers covered his legs.
This much was unaffordable to common people. Not to mention the rings on his fingers and golden chains hanging by his neck. He looked prim and proper with that stylish haircut which was popular among nobility these days.
Jake stood up with Erin and greeted the baron who greeted back. Leo’s wife scrunched her nose as she felt the heavy scent of alcohol. She was trying to put on a good impression on these visitors, but her husband ruined everything.
After Leo sat, he tried starting a conversation.
”What might be your purpose?” He asked.
However, Jake didn’t speak and instead stroked Erin’s thighs. Such an act made even the usually drunk baron speechless. He frowned as this young man slapped his concubine’s ass.
”Take out those knights, but don’t kill them.”
”What are you?”
[Corruption]
Jake’s approach had always been swift and direct. Once he saw the baron, he first analyzed the number of combat-ready servants in the surroundings. There was no one that could threaten Jake here, so he did things without hiding.
At Jake’s order, Erin kicked the floor and appeared before the stunned knight in a flash. She first stopped the thin-bearded man’s blood flow and kicked him in the chest.
As a 2nd Circle Vampire, her strength was higher than a 1st Circle knight, of course. Her agility was also very high, so that attack made the man fly and crash on the wall.
He didn’t pass out and unsheathed his sword, only to find it burning with a black fire.
The baron’s wife uttered a shrill cry but her voice disappeared abruptly. Jake had used [Fear Aura] on her.
Jane felt like an apex predator was sitting in front of her, calmly crossing his legs. His dominating pressure made her legs go weak as she crouched down, shuddering in absolute terror.
She pissed while trembling, making a pool on the floor beneath her ass. On the couch, Leo suddenly cried. He seemed to have an internal struggle with himself. However, unlike others, the black marks appeared too fast on his face.
It was because baron Leo Erswen was already a messed up person to begin with. Unsatisfied with his wives, this middle-aged man had committed adultery with most of the maids in his household.
He repeatedly beat his first wife because she had grown older and looked ugly. When Jake’s evil mana began tampering his psyche, he instead had thoughts about quitting alcohol and becoming a good person.
However, those were only thoughts. His actions would remain evil and that made him a hypocrite.
”Greetings, master.” The baron slipped from the sofa and got on his knees.
On the other hand, Erin was holding the neck of the remaining knight. The earlier man was on the floor, unconscious.
She applied pressure into the man’s neck, and her nails dug into his veins.
”That’s enough,” Jake said. ”This baron will be a valuable dog. We still have to keep his teeth.”
Erin threw the knight on the wall, and smelled the blood on her nails. She made a disgusted expression and kicked the man before coming to Jake.
”Did I do good, master?” Erin sat on his lap and hugged his chest. Jake could feel her body vibrating.
He retracted his [Fear Aura] and stood up. Jake patted Erin who happily smiled, showing her dangerous fangs.
On the floor, the baron’s wife gasped loudly as if she had finally been allowed to breathe.
”W-Who… a-are you p-people?” Jane asked but both Jake and Erin ignored her. After all, she was just an insect.
He went past her and looked through the window. Turning around, Jake ordered the baron.
”Bring your head knight here.”
He planned to corrupt that man as well. Individually, Leo was useless. However, his command over the knights and his status as a noble was worth noting.
Still, if the baron gave out questionable orders, his 2nd Circle Knight would rebel. To take out that possibility, Jake planned to corrupt the head knight as well.
…
An hour later, he and Erin were inside the mansion’s basement. The baron was before a large iron-plated door, inserting a three-inch long key in the keyhole.
Of course, that was his treasury which was now Jake’s property.
Click.
Leo unlocked the door and pushed it. However, his strength was too low, and he embarrassedly glanced at Jake.
”Useless,” Erin sharply said and Leo looked down, stepping sideways.
”Go kill your first wife,” Jake causally ordered before pushing the treasury’s door.
Leo had already tortured his wife enough and Jake had a hunch the woman would seek revenge. Killing her before she became troublesome was good.
”As you will…” The baron’s voice resounded in the basement as he left.
Jake wasn’t paying attention. Instead, he pushed the door harder, and it easily went back.
Boom! Some dust appeared. When it settled down, Jake and Erin’s irises reflected the shine of metals.
‘I sense mana crystals. Oh, is it in that box?’
