She Belongs To The Devil

Chapter 633 Errand Boy

Chapter 633 Errand Boy

Damien sneezed loudly and wiped his nose. He had been sneezing continuously for a while now.

"Ah! Does this ever stop! I feel like my nose is going to drop," Damien complained as he looked at one of the ingredients in Maple's shop.

Maple subtly smiled and commented, "Maybe someone is missing you a lot."

Damien chuckled and mumbled, "I don't think so, Maple. I just left from home. Nobody misses a rascal like me. I bet they are all happy thinking I won't come home until late."

Maple kept on working on a potion that she was brewing and said casually, "Maybe someone far away from your home is missing you."

Damien knew exactly who she was referring to. But he laughed it off.

And he thought to himself, "There's no way she still remembers me. I heard that people were lining up to marry her. I wonder if she likes someone…"

Like every time, his heart ached after imagining Ariel with someone else. But he pushed that thought away.

Maple glanced at Damien and asked, "You visiting Earth again?"

Damien looked at her and answered, "Only if you want any ingredients."

Maple sighed and asked, "Shall I ask you to bring an ingredient that you will find specifically in Wyverndale?"

Damien's heart skipped a beat when he heard 'Wyverndale'. He cleared his throat and awkwardly replied, "If there's no substitute available then I will try to procure it from wherever it is available."

Maple smirked and subtly shook her head. "This kid!" she thought to herself.

And she asked him, "Then bring me some dragon scales. Not the old ones that the dragons had already shed. Pluck the fresh ones from their bodies and bring at least 5 scales for me. And don't forget that each one should be from a different dragon."

Damien kept on looking at her as if she had just said something impossible. He raised his brows and asked in a shocked tone, "You mean you want me to go to the Dragon Crypt?"

"Is there anywhere else where you can find the dragons?" she asked in a mocking tone for asking the obvious question.

"But…"

"But what?" Maple frowned at him and directly asked, "Do you plan on being my errand boy forever? Didn't you ask Lucifer to undo the spell on your inhibitors so that you could teleport to the Earth Realm?"

Damien was deeply drowned in his guilt when Theodore stopped coming to literally beg him. He had deeply regretted not going to the Earth Realm with Theodore. He had become like a walking skeleton after a few months.

Unable to see her son like that, Lilith had told him that she used the inhibitors to suppress his teleportation ability. And she had also told him that Lucifer could undo the spell since he was the one to cast it.

Damien had finally gone to ask for Lucifer's help after five years of knowing about that spell. He still wore those ornaments even after the spell had been lifted since Ariel liked them very much.

Damien had thought that he would go and visit Ariel the moment Lucifer lifted the spell. However, he didn't get the courage even then.

Maple found him one day when he was wandering around the Pandemonium. And since she heard his thoughts, she decided to give him a little push by asking him to bring some ingredients from Earth.

Damien went to the Earth Realm as well. Several times. However, he would always return without stepping his foot in Wyverndale. At most, he would dig some information from the merchants and passersby.

Maple abruptly slammed her palms on the desk and asked Damien, "Aren't you pretending to help me because you want an excuse to go to the Earth Realm and then meet Ariel?"

Maple let out a sigh of frustration and mumbled, "But you never do. You never even go near Wyverndale, leave alone meet her."

"Don't lecture me. You're not my mother," Damien rudely replied and sighed. He looked away from Maple and decided to head out of the shop.

But Maple raised her palm and turned it. Damien got forcefully turned and pulled towards her.

She glared at him and asked, "When are you going to meet her and mend things with her? After she gets married to some Earthling?"

"Getting married isn't the end of it," Damien glared back and said as if to imply that Ariel's partner would eventually get old and die.

Maple read what he thought and almost lost her mind. "Do you think that you can get her back once she falls in love with someone else? Even if you have eternal life and her partner does not, then that does not mean that she will come running to you when her partner dies. Some love never dies, Damien. And you should know that better than anyone."

Damien tried to release himself from Maple's magic and angrily shouted at her, "Don't pretend that you know me inside out just because you can read some passing thoughts of mine. I've never loved anyone. So don't spout any nonsense to me." Experience tales at empire

Maple glared at that tall man in front of her for a few seconds. And she let him go.

Damien had reached the door when she mumbled, "Oh, and just so you know, her future husband won't probably be a mere mortal. I heard some whispers that there's a vampire-werewolf hybrid who is madly in love with her. And yes, he is an immortal. Just saying."

Damien sneered and asked in a deep harsh voice, "And may I know where did you hear that whisper from?"

"I have my ways. If you don't believe me then feel free to go and check it yourself." After saying that, Maple pushed her palm.

Damien got pushed by some invisible force and the door of the shop slammed behind him.

Damien angrily started walking out of the Pandemonium. All the while, he kept on pondering back to what Maple had said to him.

"I bet she is just lying to forcefully make me go there."

He had deep frown lines on his forehead when he further thought, "But what if she isn't lying? What if I… what if I lose Ariel forever?"

"Haha!" Damien mockingly laughed at himself and asked, "But didn't I already lose her? How can I go back in her life after I pushed her away like that? She had extended her hand to me. I was the one who never took it."

He clenched his fists and mumbled, "I have no right!"

However, deep down, Damien wanted to go back to Wyverndale and see Ariel. He also wanted to see if that story about a vampire-werewolf hybrid was true.

Damien wanted to hit himself in the gut for thinking that Ariel would forever wait for him. "It was not like we were lovers. We were just friends. And we were just kids. Besides, why would she wait for a friend who hasn't shown his face for 9 whole years?"

After crossing the pandemonium, Damien flapped out his wings and flew high in the sky. But his mind was so scattered that he almost bumped into another demon.

"Hey! Watch it kid!" that demon shouted at him and flew away.

Damien grabbed his hair and asked himself, "What do I do? Shall I go back to Ariel? Shall I beg for her forgiveness? But will she even recognize me? What if she already forgot me?"

"Arghhh!" All the questions were eating him up.

His imagination floated around and he pictured Ariel with some other man. His blood boiled and he felt like exploding everything in sight.

He clenched his fists and mumbled resolutely, "I don't want Ariel to love anyone else."

"I want to be selfish once again. I want her. I will drop on my knees and beg her if that's what I have to do to have her back in my life."

Damien then teleported to the Earth Realm without wasting any second.
