196 Mother-Son Discussion
After leaving the store, it took a few minutes for Raphael to arrive in front of his house door.
He was about to push the door open when the door was suddenly pulled from inside.
Two figures stepped out soon after, and as Raphael saw the duo he had warned never to appear before him again, his lips curved inwardly.
The duo was none other than Dennis and Danilo and as the both of them they saw Raphael, they nodded their head at him simultaneously.
Raphael glared at the both of them until they left his sight, and after which they did, he turned towards his mother.
“What are the both of them doing here, mother?”
Raphael spoke in a displeased voice.
As he had told Yvonne that he didn’t want to have anything with both of them, Raphael expected her to break all ties whatsoever with them.
“Mother,”
.....
As Raphael called out to his mother again, she shook her head at him.
“Relax, Raphael, they were not here to see you.” Said Yvonne. “They were here to see Aurora since they weren’t able to see her in the store.”
“It’s really nothing, the both of them just arrived a few minutes ago, and after they spoke with Aurora they left immediately. As you can see.” Aurora said.
No response came from Raphael after his mother spoke, he was about to take a step into the house when Yvonne’s voice rang.
“But, who are we kidding? For someone who doesn’t want to have any ties with them, don’t you think, you’re too distant yourself with their cousin.”
Raphael abruptly paused, “We have an agreement, and once it’s over, we will go our separate ways.” Raphael replied.
Yvonne nodded her head, she closed the door, and as she watched Raphael head toward the staircase, she spoke.
“Don’t you think we need to talk, Mikaelson?”
“I know you have been avoiding this discussion using the project you have been working on.” Yvonne said, “But, I won’t take no for an answer now.”
“Come to the living room, Raphael.”
Yvonne said, and then headed to the living room.
“Raphael, don’t make me repeat myself.”
As Yvonne arrived in the living room, and there was still no Raphael after three minutes, she spoke in a loud voice.
Raphael had his hand ballad into his tight fist, he shook his head and then walked towards the living room.
“Mom, we have two months, I’m sure they will be plenty of time, but not today,” Raphael said with a very stern look on his face.
However, if there was somewhere that Raphael learned that look on his face, then it was from Yvonne.
Yvonne countered the expression on Raphael’s face, by folding her hand and then glaring at him.
“Young man, did I make it seem like you had a choice.” Said Yvonne. “Well, if I did, I apologize because there’s no way we won’t have this discussion today.”
“Now, seat and let’s talk about this reasonably.”
As much as Raphael didn’t want to have this discussion, he knew better than not to.
There were three stages to his mother’s rage, the first was the change of name. Once his name went from Raphael to Mikaelson, then it was beginning to become serious.
And when it changed from Mikaelson to a young man, even Gus would be on it best behavior if it were to hear Yvonne refer to Raphael as a young man.
Raphael might have been unfazed about thousands of things, but his mother’s rage at the third stage wasn’t one of them. And at a slow pace, he walked over to the seat opposite his mother.
“Good,” Yvonne exclaimed as he saw her on the chair.
Yvonne stared at Raphael for a few seconds before then saying, “It’s like I said back then, I’m not looking to change your mind, but I would like to know the reason why.”
“Why what?” Raphael asked.
“Why, you don’t want to take up the Holmes family offer, and have a seat in politics,” Yvonne replied.
“Is the reason because you don’t want to owe anyone because you won’t, or is it because of something else?” Yvonne inquired in a soft voice.
Raphael raised an eyebrow after he heard his mother.
“I believe we both know the reason why, mother, and if this is the discussion, then my decision still stands.”
“I will not take part in politics, not now, or never. You might as well just rule it out because there’s no way, I, Raphael Mikaelson Queen, will never become one of them.” Raphael blurted in a cold tone.
The change that transpired was very obvious, and Yvonne was about to retort to his words when Raphael’s voice rang.
“I will never become like father… Father sat on those seats, and he sold his soul to the devil, there’s no way I will be like him.”
Raphael angrily stood from his seat and dashed towards the staircase.
He had moved so fast that before Yvonne could even speak, there was a door slam coming from his room.
“Sigh… This is all for your sake, Raphael.” Yvonne stated.
“You will need all the help you can get when it’s time, and I’m not sure that I will be able to help when the dark day arrives.”
After those words left Yvonne’s mouth, she closed her eyes, and streams of tears rolled from her eyes.
….
Meanwhile, in the most prestigious house and one of the most heavily guarded places in the world… The White House.
Seven figures donned in black and white sat around a table with a grim look all on their faces.
The seven of them eyes were glued to the paper in front of them, and after they had done through the paper one of them spoke
“Once we have all those around him wiped out, I believe we all know the next phase from here.” Said the man with a goatee.
And after he spoke, there was a nod from the others around the table.
At the headline of the paper in front of the seven of them, they were one name that their eyes were fixed on the whole time.
‘Mikaelson Queen’
