Rise of the Crusader

Chapter 119

Chapter 119

119 Return to the Academy

As Jersey saint hospital was going to be shut down permanently, the mission could as well be said to be completed.

The students gathered back at the zone and soon, preparation to head back to the academy was made.

The zone was the teleportation channel that the academy had installed for them whenever they were in the outside world and wanted to come to the academy.

“Hold on... We haven’t discussed how we are going to take care of this?”

Levi stared at the truck that was loaded with stacked cash and all sorts of items as he spoke.

The atmosphere became awkward really quickly as everyone shifted their gaze between the truck and the person beside them. They began staring at one another soon enough, with their thought unknown.

“Well, according to the rule of the academy any item that we obtain and isn’t a part of what was requested of us... is ours,” Savannah said.

A smile hung on Levi’s face when he heard Savannah. He nodded his head and then said.

“So, all this is ours. Hehe!” Levi licked his lips sadistically.

.....

“I call dips!”

Bane leaped to the front after he spoke.

While he was greeted by a scornful look from his mates, Bane wasn’t in the slightest bothered about them, and instead, he had his eyes on the grand treasure in front of him.

Bane suddenly towards the twenty meta humans behind him, “As you all know, generous is my middle name, so I will have you share the stacked cash, golds, silver, and whatever it is that’s there.”

“But, the diamonds are all mine,” Bane stated.

There was confusion on the faces of the people he was speaking to, and after a second, a couple of them burst into laughter.

“You can’t be serious, right? There’s no way you will be getting all the diamonds, if you’re able to have one of them, then you should consider yourself lucky.” Sean blurted.

Bane sneered, “Oh really, I want to see who is going to stop me then.” He said.

Killing intent flashed in between Sean’s eyes, and even though he hadn’t taken a step from where he was, it was certainly just a matter of time.

“The both of you should calm the hell down.” Aiden walked to the front quickly. He stretched both of his hands at Bane and Sean as he spoke.

“There’s enough for everyone, we don’t have to get into a fight,” Aiden said.

“And who the fuck do you think you are!”

A second after Aiden spoke, and Sean’s voice rang out. He seized Aiden from head to toe with disgust evident in his eyes.

Aiden’s lips curved inwardly, he lowered his hand and took a step closer to Sean. Aiden cracked his knuckles, “My hands are quite itchy, it would do just good to destroy that stinky face of yours.”

“Coming from a boy who lived in the gutter, I really don’t know who has a stinky face between you and me,” Sean responded.

A bone-chilling frown appeared on Aiden’s face, he clenched his hand into a tight fist and was about to dash towards Sean when a hand pushed him back gently.

“What is wrong with you people!!” Melinda yelled.

“If you want to kill each other for some bunch of treasures, then fine, go ahead. But, let me remind you, these treasures are of no value in the academy, we can’t purchase anything with the stacked cash, the gold, or even the diamond.”

“We might as well just give this out because it’s all about academy points in there,” Melinda exclaimed.

Suddenly, Jackson appeared beside Sean, staring at Melinda, he said. “While the academy might have no use for it, the black market does.”

“And the black market in the academy would offer anything, including academy points.”

Jackson smirked, “You know Melinda, not everyone comes from a rich family as you do. And not everyone’s uncle is one of the directors in the academy.”

When Melinda heard Jackson, her eyes twitched and her hands were clenched into a tight fist. She had always hidden the fact that her uncle was one of the directors in the academy, and only her close friends were aware of it.

“Did you tell him?” Melinda asked, staring at Becky.

Becky knitted her brows, “No.” She responded.

“And why would you think I told him about your uncle? What’s that all about?!” Becky’s eyebrows were lowered, with rage written all over her face as she spoke.

Melinda shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t know, maybe it’s because you have been hanging out with him lately.” She replied, pointing at Jackson.

Elisa could see that the situation was getting out of hand between Melinda and Becky, and before it would grow into something else, she quickly approached the both of them.

The first move she made was to nullify both of their powers, and once it was nullified, she pulled them aside.

There was battle intent between Aiden, Bane, Sean, and Jackson, as they glared at one another. With hands then balled into fists, and two clones appearing beside Jackson, a battle was about to go down.

However, before they would engage, Mason walked toward them.

“Quit this shenanigan!” Mason exclaimed.

And seeing that the expression on the four of them didn’t change in the slightest, he stomped his feet on the ground.

The ground trembled violently from the full force blow of Mason, and while a sneer came from Seam and Jackson, they moved their gaze away from Aiden and Bane.

As Mason stared at the others, he couldn’t help but shake his head when he saw the disappointing look on their faces.

“Let’s head back to the academy, then we discuss how we will share the items.”

By the time Mason was done speaking, the teleportation device was already in place. Though a displeased expression was on the faces of a couple of them, they still walked into the portal.

Mason then walked towards the truck, he placed his hand on it, and with a bit of force added, he swung the truck into the portal that had just opened.

Meanwhile, the news of the jersey saint hospital being shut down was all over the place.

On the number one news channel, retro news one, two journalists sat side by side with a paper in front of them.

“As we speak, we have just been informed about the current situation in one of the public hospitals.”

“Jersey saint hospital has been shut down.” Lexi said, “The governments have reprimanded them on their failure to uphold the rules and regulations they swore to abide by.”

“The government has also moved the attendees in the hospital to a safe and better environment. They have assured the families of the attendees that no harm will befall their relatives.” Lexi said.

Even though Lexi was shocked about the information that she had just heard, she didn’t let it show on her face.

She kept a straight face, as she stared at the camera.

“Between a span of twenty-four hours, over two thousand lives have been lost in the hospital. The government had to swoop in to prevent any more fatality in the hospital.”

Among the information that was being told by retro news one and another news channel, there was no mention of the killing that occurred in the hospital, and once again, the government had only informed the world what they wanted them to know.

...

Sonia was on her way back to her place when she saw the news on the television screen.

The limousine stopped soon enough, and as Sonia watched the news, she bit her lower lips hard and her hands were clenched into a tight fist.

When the men in the limo saw Sonia in this state, they stepped out quickly. They knew Sonia well, and at this moment, there was no saying what she was capable of.

“Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!”

A loud scream that caused the three men to move further away from the limousine rang out.

And a few seconds after, Sonia stepped outside. Her eyes were bloodshot red, her hair had become scruffy, and with her nails digging deep into her palm, blood could be seen on her hand.

With a killing intent that seemed to come from the depth of purgatory oozing out of their body, Sonia’s was gruesome, to say the least.

She stared at her assistant who had also just stepped out of the limousine and said.

“Get ready, we are going to war.”

There was no need for further question, as the man understood who it was that Sonia wanted to wage war against.

He nodded his head and took a cell phone out of his pocket. He soon placed it on his ear and walked a few meters away from Sonia.

The route the limousine took was hardly passed by, and presently apart from Sonia’s vehicle and her men, there wasn’t any other vehicle or being in the surrounding.

And while Sonia’s appearance was overbearing, when the three men stared at her from afar, their cheeks reddened.

Sonia’s assistant walked back to Sonia and said, “Preparation has already been made. When do we leave?”
