Chapter 492 - Fellow Daoist

Chapter 492 - Fellow Daoist

“He has found a way?”

The crowd was shocked. Feng Wuji just said that the only way to beat Bi Xie was to be faster than him. But that was much easier said than done!

Zhong Yue’s skill casting rate was not as fast as Bi Xie’s, nor did he have any skill that could have fight against the Deity Overlord cultivation techniques.

The ?Monster God Ming King Art?, ?Heavenly Saint Godly Radiating Art?, ?Great Sun Heavenly Demon Art?, ?Great Boundless Sword Qi? and any other cultivation technique he had learned were just god-leveled cultivation techniques. The skills they contained were also only ordinary godly skills, how could they be stronger than emperor-leveled godly skills.

Whereas for a Deity Emperor’s heritage, other than the cultivation technique and the various arts, there were also many other skills that could be cast out in the blink of an eye.

The great skills required one to focus and fully utilize the energies in their body. Thus, making the casting speed slower. Besides his arsenal of arts, Bi Xie still had the other quick-launch skills from the Deity Emperor’s heritage that was passed down to him by the Bi Xie Celestial Emperor.

This was also why Zhong Yue was struck badly in just a few moment’s time. He didn’t have any skills that could contend against Bi Xie!

Rays flashed in Feng Wuji’s eyes, and he mumbled, “Are you really that strong? Can you really create a skill that can fight against Bi Xie in such a short while?”

In the Lesser Void World, Zhong Yue cast aside all of the other skills and dispersed the other six arms. He moved his hand quickly and raised out two fingers, cutting down on Bi Xie’s skills like a pair of dragon scissors.

“This…” Bi Xie’s heart thumped in shock. He could feel his skills losing connection with him along with his arcane energy, blood essence, and psyche he used to cast the skill!

This was definitely something he had never come across before. A skill that can nullify other skills, even cutting off the arcane energy, blood essence. and psyche along with it. How could there be such bizarre skill?

Who could have created such an art?

Bi Xie then elevated his rate of attack and started casting out stronger skills. Zhong Yue’s fingers moved in the air and the ?Dragon Shears? flew out from his fingers, cutting down the incoming skills.

Bi Xie immediately suffered injuries; he could feel his heart aching in pain. He immediately stopped, and a 72-star array formation emerged beneath his feet. Bi Xie struck out a palm strike and the array formation shone brightly as well. There were also 72 godly figures that emerged within the array formation and struck at Zhong Yue together along with Bi Xie, further enhancing the strike’s power.

While there were also the totem pattern formed in chains that curled around Bi Xie arm. But before they could do anything, Zhong Yue’s ?Dragon Shears? already struck over and sheared the totem pattern chains away!

The ?Dragon Shears? were too way too bizarre. They don’t clash with the skills and only shear the skills away. Those who had faced with the ?Dragon Shears? would know, it was like fighting with an untouchable enemy that could dispel your skills without fail. No matter how hard you tried, there still wouldn’t be any way around it.

Thus, Bi Xie acted decisively and has cast out the great skills!

Zhong Yue has also kept the ?Dragon Shears? and fought back with the great skills!

“The ?Dragon Shears? are too dominating, but it is a senior martial brother’s. Thus, I will not use it anymore.”

Zhong Yue slithered forward at a great speed and struck at Bi Xie with the back of his hand while he said with a smile, “Brother Bi Xie, let’s continue.”

The ?Dragon Shears? was the skill created by Feng Xiaozhong to break the bloodline seals in the Fuxi body.

If even the bloodline seals in the Fuxi could be cut by the ?Dragon Shears?, how could Bi Xie’s skill be of it’s match?

Zhong Yue’s admiration toward Feng Xiaozhong grew. Back in the days, he never realized the power of the ?Dragon Shears? and thus never practiced it since breaking the first layer of Fuxi bloodline seal.

But as he was left with no choice now, he suddenly thought of the skill and has cast it out. It was also out of his expectation that the ?Dragon Shears? could even shear the Deity Emperor’s cultivation skills!

This was still just the skills, but what if the ?Dragon Shears? was directed at heads?

For example, the Inner Core Qi Practitioners were already strong in life force. Even when their heads were decapitated from their bodies, they could still survive if their heads were connected back to their bodies within a few moments after death. The same went for Imminent Deity magnates, but the window was longer.

However, if it were the ?Dragon Shears? that decapitated the cultivator, all of the blood essence, arcane energy and psyche would be sheared off from the body. With that being said, even if you had the head and reconnected it back to the body, you would still remain dead without doubt.

Feng Xiaozhong had dug too many tombs, he had captured uncountable experts from various races, researched the gods’ corpses and even dissected the godly spirits. His understandings on skills and body structures were at a height that none could ever compare with. Which was what allowed him to have created such a horrifyingly strong skill.

Seeing that Zhong Yue really stopped fighting with the ?Dragon Shears? and used the back of his hand instead, Bi Xie was startled.

As soon as Zhong Yue showed the back of his hand, a freezing moon rose behind him and the Tai Yin Divine Water streamed below the jade moon. Great power was imbued in the moon and river.

Bi Xie raised his hand and lashed a palm strike in return.

Krong——

A loud noise like thunder rumblings ravaged the sky and Bi Xie felt an immensely cold force rushing into his arm. The peculiar force was washing his prowess away and eroding his skills. His heart thumped a beat and it was at this moment that Zhong Yue flipped his hand and struck his palm right at Bi Xie’s palm!

Krong——

The moon fell and the river collapsed. A blazing sun rose high and a Golden Crow flew out spanning its wings wide, it reached out to the sun and swallowed it into its beak.

Instantly, Bi Xie felt an opposing surge of force rush into his arm.

The two of them were fighting at a fast and intense attack rate.

Zhong Yue was flipping and changing hands unceasingly. Bi Xie could then feel another two different kinds of forces in it. One was imbued in Zhong Yue’s left hand, it had the prowess of the solemn celestial element while the other was in the right hand, containing a nefarious demonic element.

The back of the hand was Yin and the palm of the hand was Yang, the left was celestial and the right was demon. Zhong Yue’s strikes were interchangin from celestial to demon and Yin to Yang.

Zhong Yue’s skill was still way too immature when compared to Bi Xie’s. It wasn’t as strong nor was was it nearly as fast. It wasn’t even comparable to any other skills Zhong Yue had ever cast before.

Not only that, but there were also many flaws in his stance and also a noticeable decrease in his agility.

Suddenly, Bi Xie’s attacks seemed turned slow as well, the skill was no longer as smooth nor was it as strong as it was before.

His skills no longer looked like they were from the vaunted legacy of the Bi Xie Celestial Emperor. Now, it looked slow, weak, and full of flaws!

The two of them were in their own inner core force fields, standing tall and imposing like two gods and yet, the skill they were casting were incredibly weak. It felt like they were just two cultivation amateurs learning from each other. It was an utterly ridiculous scene to witness.

Outside of the Lesser Void World, the experts looking at the battle were all bewildered. The battle that Zhong Yue and Bi Xie had presented to them was incredibly amazing, and their arts were intriguing.

Yet, the two of them were now fighting like two amateurs, attacking one another with the simplest and most primitive attacks.

How did this happen?

“These are the two strongest young cultivators?” A Kun Peng Heavenly Dharma expert shook his head and mumbled in disappointment, “I can kill a few Qi Practitioners like this with one hand.”

Mister Kun Da, Clan Master Xia and Feng Wuji stiffened up their faces. Zhong Yue and Bi Xie weren’t in a death battle now, they were both realizing and creating their own skills, molding their own cultivation techniques!

Their attacks seemed to be primitive because they were just starting the skill creation process. However, the power of the skills shouldn’t be underestimated, the situation as surely unlike how the Kun Peng expert described. In fact, if the Kun Peng expert went forward, he would surely be killed in just one strike, there weren’t any other outcomes from that.

“Talent…,” Mister Kun Da mumbled softly.

Zhong Yue and Bi Xie’s skills were coming into completion. The flaws in their stances were greatly reduced and the battle grew more intense again. They were moving faster and faster while their skills were also turning stronger with every strike.

All of the experts’ faces changed drastically, especially the Kun Peng expert that just spoke. His whole face turned pallid like a piece of white paper.

Clan Master Xia nodded and said, “Indeed, talents…”

Feng Wuji sighed, and he also said softly, “Equally strong talents…”

Without the pressure from Bi Xie, Zhong Yue wouldn’t be able to create his own skill and without Zhong Yue bringing the pressure as well, Bi Xie wouldn't be able to create his own skill either.

They were talents for sure, and without them being as strong as the other, they wouldn’t be able to come across this fortuitous chance for enlightenment.

“Among the two, who would win?” Zhurong Yanqin said softly.

Mister Kun Da shook his head nor could Clan Master Xia tell. Feng Wuji frowned lightly as he looked at the battle. The two of them were still completing their skills, it was incredibly hard to predict who would be stronger than the other.

All of a sudden, Zhong Yue and Bi Xie separated to one end each. The two of them were standing at the back of one another and their clothes were fluttering in the breeze before slowly settling down.

“Senior Martial Brother Zhong, what’s your skill’s name?” Bi Xie turned around and he asked.

“?Yin Yang Celestial Demon Style?.”

Zhong Yue turned around and he asked, “What’s yours?”

“?Heavenly Fortune Profound Art?.” Bi Xie smiled in great satisfaction as he said.

Zhong Yue nodded softly. Abruptly, he moved like a flash of lightning and placed a willow leaf on Bi Xie’s forehead. The willow leaf brightened up and seeped into Bi Xie’s mind, cutting off the link between the Lang Ya Board and Bi Xie.

Bi Xie was shocked, he tried to take down the leaf but to no avail, he said, “Senior Martial Brother Zhong, you…”

“This can cut off the connection between you and the Lang Ya Board.” Reluctance spread across Zhong Yue’s face and he said, “If you die here, then you will truly die, not even the Lang Ya Board will save you. Fellow Daoist, I don’t want to see another man walking around in your body, even if it is your ancestor. I’d rather you die by my hand then let that happen.…”

Bi Xie startled, he suddenly smiled and answered, “I’m willing to do it on my own. This has nothing to do with my ancestor’s will.”

Zhong Yue kept silent, his voice was filled with bitterness as he said, “If you can live on, you and I can be opponents and partners. We will be able to create many more skills and arts along the way. But you’ve chosen another path … to sacrificed yourself for a dead ancestor…”

Bi Xie didn’t answer, he was quiet for a few moments and the young cultivator raised his head up, his eyes were filled with yearning as he looked into the starry sky, he said, “You won’t be lonely. There are many other talented cultivators like me, somewhere out there in the universe, beyond the Ancestral Star.”

Zhong Yue shook his head, his voice was bitter and his eyes were red, “But they … they are not my Fellow Daoists, they are not my friends.”

Bi Xie’s heart shuddered violently, he gave a long sigh and mumbled softly in his heart, “Fellow Daoist, friend…”

At some point, tears started rolling down his face.

“Then, my fellow Daoist, you should keep the willow leaf. You know the Warhorn is with me, the Celestial Emperor’s spirit is also in me, you can’t kill me.” Bi Xie gave a warm bright smile, he said, “Farewell, my friend.”
