Chapter 1070 The History Of Aurora Part 2
Bradley snapped out of it finally and quickly left the room. The old man snorted before turning to the rest of the class. "Everyone sit down! If you are here to screw around, you can leave otherwise, sit and get ready for class."
Kana quickly sat up straight and got her notes ready. She had been waiting to learn more about Aurora. The old man waited for everyone to get into their seats before nodding their heads. "I am your instructor for this class on the history of Aurora. My name is Instructor Willis. As you have seen, I do not put up with any crap in my class. If you do not want to be here, go back to your dorms and sleep away your pathetic lives.
"Now then…." Instructor Willis looked around, and when he saw that he had everyone's attention, he nodded and turned to write on the board behind him with a magic pointer. "Aurora has been around for tens of billions of years. The creation of Aurora was the second place ever created by His Excellency, the God of Creation, with Eden being the first.
"Aurora was first created to house what we call angels. A race of beings who would oversee the mortals of the world below. While that name is now used lightly as a means to rank our strengths here, we are not the same as the angels of the past.
"Those angels were not pretty and could be considered a monster more than anything. Yes, like the one hovering in the air behind Miss Kana…." Instructor Willis's mouth went dry as he looked at the large eye behind him. The grotesque body that looked more monstrous than anything he had ever seen before. "This!"
"Hmmm?" Kana turned and looked at the huge eyeball staring at her and smiled: "Sorry, I haven't let you out at all since coming here."
"I heard someone talking about us, so I came to take a look…." The lead angel of Kana's angel army replied. It was given special permission from Kana to summon and de-summon itself since it had always been helping her.
"I think you scared the old man, though. Go back for now. Later I will take you to the island I own, and you can roam around there and find a new nest." Kana patted the top of the huge eye's head, causing it to squint in delight. It then disappeared in a stream of light.
Kana then turned to the old man and bowed her head slightly: "Sorry, the little one came out on its own. It will not come out again."
"Huh? Right…" Instructor Willis did not know what to say. He decided to ignore what just happened. "Where was I? Right, we are all in a realm that was created for those who were able to rise up in power and reach the stage of the previous angels.
"Whether His Excellency had planned on it or not, this is just how things came to be. In the beginning, there was only one island. A massive island that newcomers who tore through the void in their worlds and reached this realm had begun to settle in. Aurora was not as it now. Terrifying monsters roamed these lands. Why this was, we do not know. It was just the natural effect of things.
"The ones who arrived first had to live in a harsh environment where death awaited anyone at any turn. The angels, as you saw just now, roamed the skies and would attack any newcomers once they showed their heads.
"But slowly, as more and more powerful beings began to reach this realm, they began building small communities. They defended these communities and began to build them up even more. Soon new bloodlines began to form within these communities allowing us to form clans, and then those clans, as they began to give birth to new members, slowly grew in strength and began to build towns and cities.
"But there was only so much space. When the populace grew too much, and the dangerous monsters' populations dwindled to almost nothing. The angels disappeared from this plane altogether. This was His Excellency giving us command over this realm.
"New unexplored islands began to form. New ways of travel had to be made because flight between these areas was almost impossible due to new cloud monsters that suddenly appeared. His Excellency was willing to give us new land, but we had to be strong enough to conquer it. So he gave us trials. And even now, we have yet to occupy all the land. While each island now has at least one clan on it, there are still vast forests on some of these islands with many dangerous monsters residing in them.
"You must remember one thing and only one thing about this realm. Everything we have is because His Excellency has given it to us. Without him, there would be no us. No Eden, no Aurora, no life in the realms below. Because he was the creator of life, as the God of Creation, he has allowed us all to come into being while letting nature take its course. We have become strong and now reside in the second most powerful realm in all the realms.
"Any questions up to this point?" Instructor Willis asked as he looked around.
Kana was the only one to raise her hand. "Miss Kana?"
"Yes, has anyone tried to see what lies below the clouds?" Kana asked. She was curious about this.
"Even though it has been billions of years, there have been few adventurous enough to see what is below the clouds that surround us. But some say it might even be another realm that we do not know about. One that could even be more powerful than Eden. Only when someone is willing to dive down and check for themselves will we truly know." Instructor Willis answered. He, too, wished to know this answer as he loved history, but he was also scared of the unknown. He was born and raised in Aurora and was not the adventurous type.
