Chapter 554
Chapter 554
554 Chapter 554 Being Rewarded By The Red Beauty
Although it seemed that Desmond was joking, the truth was different. Desmond never liked the concept of the hero saving the beauty. He always thought there were a lot of problems with those scenarios. At first, Desmond never liked how women were portrayed as helpless maidens who needed a man to come and rescue them.
While it is true that Desmond had saved more than one damsel in distress, this had nothing to do with the fact that he was a man, it was a matter of strength, and when it came to strength, Desmond knew more than one woman who could crush him.
Desmond’s other problem with the hero saving the beauty scenario is that it always approached the theme of beauty by rewarding the hero with some display of affection of varying characters. Desmond thought that was too frivolous an attitude regarding showing affection. Besides, in his opinion, a true hero would not demand any reward, let alone one of that kind.
Desmond might not consider himself a hero, but that didn’t stop him from taking a proper approach to dealing with many scenarios that heroes are put through, as is the case with his current situation. Aisha was beautiful; moreover, she had a kind of almost erotic sensuality that made her very desirable. However, Desmond would not demand anything of her for having saved her.
Desmond intervened only because it was against his principles to remain a bystander; he never had an ulterior motive. To some extent, compared to certain dishonest and lecherous heroes, Desmond was a better man. Of course, now that Aisha had taken the initiative to kiss him, and Desmond found it quite agreeable, he had no reason to turn her down.
Whichever the case, Desmond’s little comment earned him a somewhat amused expression from Aisha. Aisha leaned into him, pressing her plump breasts against him as she whispered with her lips almost touching Desmond’s.
“Would you seriously turn me down?” Aisha said as seductively as the snake that tricked Adam and Eve.
Desmond’s response was relatively brief...in more ways than one. Desmond removed the few inches separating him from Aisha and kissed her again. Just like the first kiss, this one was brief, slow, and calm, a very gentle gesture but slightly passionate.
Desmond then stepped back under Aisha’s dazed gaze, shrugged, and commented. “I said I would have rejected this kind of gesture; now I don’t.”
.....
Aisha blinked a few times in surprise, part of her finding Desmond a little charming, another part of her finding him a little cheeky. Looking into those blue eyes that looked back at her with a playful yet gentle touch, Aisha couldn’t help but remember how dominating, and brutal Desmond was in battle. “An interesting man.” She thought.
But shyness was not a word that existed in Aisha’s tribe. Her race was passionate in almost all walks of life; they lived their lives following their desires. They were fierce warriors, immovable guardians, dedicated craftswomen, and fearless lovers. Their magma hearts simply had no room for things like fear, shyness, or doubt. As such, Aisha followed her first instinctive desire at the time, fully supporting her body on Desmond before taking his lips and passionately kissing them.
The first word that came to Desmond’s mind was “Hot” even Aisha’s skin felt like a red-hot piece of coal. However, it still had the same weird effect, where no matter how high her body temperature was, Desmond didn’t burn to touch her.
On this occasion, the kissing session was much less soft and leisurely. Both parties kiss each other passionately, their lips constantly sharing intimate caresses as if trying to merge with the other. Desmond’s hands were too honest, seeking to feel and enjoy Aisha’s reddish skin.
It was as if Desmond’s mind momentarily short-circuited, “How can she be so soft and smooth?” he thought. Aisha’s skin was smooth as velvet, but it had a subtle sensation of friction exciting to the touch, a contradictory but incredibly exhilarating feeling. Combined with her body temperature, Aisha’s body evoked irrepressible desires.
Despite his tremendous willpower, Desmond had to admit that he found it hard not to succumb directly to lust. It was hard to understand how this woman’s body could feel so good; it was almost intoxicating. Aisha sensed the changes in Desmond’s mood, and she found it quite surprising that he could contain himself to this extent. Ordinary men would have already started to go crazy, and her respect and appreciation for him increased significantly.
Aisha’s tribe was passionate and a bit unrestrained, but that didn’t mean they were lost in debauchery. Her values ??weren’t nonexistent; these just differed a bit from the rule, nothing more. As such, Aisha was unwilling to go too far with a stranger, even if he had saved her life.
As Desmond said, Aisha had kissed Desmond because she wanted to, not because she felt indebted. Aisha had a clear distinction between the two, and she planned to pay Desmond for saving her in another way, not with her body.
Sensing that Desmond could barely contain himself, Aisha took the initiative to back away, but not before planting a much softer kiss on Desmond’s right cheek and adding. “That’s enough, I like you a lot, but I can’t like anyone so much that I allow them to go further when we just met; I’m not that kind of girl.”
Desmond took a second to regulate his breathing and respond. “Rarely did I reject a beauty like you; more so, I never force myself on any beauty. Don’t worry; I find you tempting to the extreme, but no amount of temptation would make me go against my principles.”
Desmond had noticed a subtle concern and wariness in Aisha’s demeanor. Hidden beneath her seductive tone and nonchalant demeanor, she was clearly aware of the kind of effect she had on men, and she knew how dangerous that could be. Hearing Desmond’s words and seeing that he seemed sincere, Aisha seemed more relaxed, but she still widened the distance between them.
“That’s good to hear.” Aisha said before pausing for a moment as if she had just remembered something, and she added. “Almost forgot, my name is Aisha Brightcore. What’s your name?”
“Desmond Astrid, nice to meet you Aisha.” Desmond answered. Aisha flashed a beaming smile before replying back. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Desmond.”
Desmond adjusted his posture and noted that this place was familiar to him; this should be the armored armadillo cave. Aisha must have noticed the place and brought him here to avoid accidents. Back then, Aisha had zero combat power due to her injuries, and Desmond was unconscious; it would be a disaster if they met someone else in that state.
Desmond noted that the entrance to the cave had been sealed with a stone wall different in texture and appearance. Desmond surmised that it must have been due to some ability of Aisha’s. Desmond asked Aisha a few things, not wanting to remain silent for too long. It shouldn’t hurt to get to know such a beautiful woman better.
During their conversation, Aisha was quite enthusiastic and sincere. It seems she was an energetic girl by nature, and Desmond learned a few things from her. According to what Aisha said, they were currently in the intermediate level of the mine system, a place where the level of danger was beginning to increase but where treasures were more frequently found. Such information did not come from the map he acquired.
Desmond also learned the origin of Aisha’s conflict with the werelion and his lackeys, though it was not much different than he imagined. Apparently, Aisha’s race, the Molten Heart Ancient Valkyries, was an incredibly rare species with unique talents and traits that made them coveted.
Tyrannical physical power, nearly limitless stamina, an affinity for fire mana that would shame half the myriad races, with a superior talent for forging and crafting. And if that wasn’t enough, Aisha’s race was made up entirely of women of devastating charms.
According to Aisha, her species was in the top hundred of the most coveted beautiful species. Their fiery bodies were almost a drug for the male sex. Added to everything else, it would be rare for people with little morality not to have bad intentions toward Aisha.
“You must be wondering if I’m so cool. How the hell did I end up in such a pathetic state?” Aisha said when she finished explaining about her species with a self-deprecating smile. Desmond saw Aisha’s somber face and decided not to answer. It was obvious that she just wanted to vent.
Aisha continued. “The truth is that my race resides mostly on our home planet, in the custody of the most powerful women of our race; not many entities dare to mess with us. Not only are we a powerful race, but we also have many dealings and connections with other powerful races. Our talent for craftsmanship is not just for show. We do not usually sell and trade our creations openly. Only people and groups very close to our race have that privilege; as such, our connections are quite reliable and truly intimidating. Perhaps growing up in such a safe world made me overconfident in my lack of strength. I became complacent, believing that I would always be safe, and focused more on the art of metal refining and alloying. Although I am still a bit lacking in the field of artifact creation compared to other young girls in my tribe, they all come to me, hoping that I will create the best metals for them.”
There was a hint of pride in Aisha’s tone of voice. She had put a lot of time and effort into her craft, so Desmond didn’t find it out of place. Plus, she was kind of cute when she was confident and proud.
“This is my first time leaving my home planet. I had gotten bored of fire, and lava landscapes, not even the most beautiful flaming flower could arouse any inspiration in me. So I went out to find some excitement, inspiration, and, most importantly, precious materials. Ultimately, I am a craftswoman at heart. I couldn’t resist when I heard about these mines. All the gems here are fascinating. As you can see, my lack of dedication to training nearly cost me my life...” Aisha was silent for a brief moment, her complexion turning somewhat dark. “Actually, my fate could have been worse than death.” she added.
As if all the worries in her were swept away by a gentle breeze, Aisha’s expression turned cheerful again. “Speaking of which, I still don’t thank you enough for saving me. The above cannot count as such. I like you, so I kissed you; you liked me, so you kissed me. I have to know how to differentiate between these things. I’d love to give you something precious. Still, I don’t carry anything but materials with me, so if you’re willing to wait and keep me company, I’d like to create something for you as a reward.”
