Netori: Reborn as the Human Aphrodisiac

Chapter 153: Our Will!

Chapter 153: Our Will!

---

"Is this an order?"

"No one can command the Sun. But if you refuse to abide by Our Will, we will find another way to reach the Final Iteration. And Mithras, Our Will…always materializes."

---

From the moment he'd discovered Aurelia's secret in the Golden Revelation, Mithras became restless. Aurelia was a woman. Her curves concealed by a divine mirage conjured by the Sun-Glazed Mask. Even her father got cheated. Never once figuring out that his prince was in fact a princess.

The Weaver is so sinister. But while the discovery no doubt amazed Mithras, it was the implications that left him baffled.

If the Weaver made Aurelia in the Lord's image, it goes without saying that Aurelia is the closest thing to the Lord's replica. Then doesn't that mean that…the Lord is a girl? My Lord is a woman? At the very least, that part should be right…right?

Mithras didn't want his thoughts to wander there, sensing that if he kept pushing, terrible secrets and memories he didn't necessarily wish to uncover would be kicking him in the nuts.

The Weaver didn't give him a choice, forcing chunks of Mithras' sealed memories back to the surface. They didn't come empty-handed. Flooding Mithras' soul with malignant energies that wrecked him from the inside out.

"Hohohohoho! Memories bound to the Triumvirate are not that easy to digest, are they? My poor child. It's almost too easy," the Weaver broke into laughter, ambling at Mithras with his lips curved in a broad, fiendish grin. A pale-gray fog surrounded the mutilated Marcus, restoring him to peak form in the blink of an eye.

But though the Weaver had just saved him from certain death, Marcus felt no relief. Breaking into a cold sweat as his magenta eyes trembled at the transcendent being's burning form.

"Well? What are you waiting for? I just gave you a golden opportunity to decimate the Sun and become the Purple Dawn's number one. Why are you hesitating?" The Weaver looked over his shoulder, his glowing eyes torching Marcus' soul like a pyretic hell.

"E-even if Mithras' power level is still in Minor God territory, how could I possibly…digest the Sun? What about the Beast inside? You're asking me…to die!" Still, Marcus wouldn't throw his life away just because the creator asked him to.

He still had much to do. To save the empire from ruin and build a new nation. A nation for sages. A world of wisdom. Him aside, who would fight for that paradise? None.

None had the heart. So, Marcus couldn't die…not before he'd established…his Divine Fantasy.

Alas…

"Yes. If that's what it takes, please die right away." The Weaver replied directly, the bluntness of his words leaving poor Marcus slackjawed.

"Trust me. If I could kill him, I would have a long time ago. The Weaver cannot kill for selfish reasons. Much less transgress his own rules. Unless Mithras ascends to the Higher Planes and attacks me directly, the Fundamental Principles will not allow me to unleash myself at him…or anyone else. So, I need champions to slay him for me.

You are my Champion, Marcus. The Weaver's anointed knight. Slay the Sun. Slay the Beast…and I will make you eternal.

Fail, and you shall fade into oblivion. Your dream dead with you." The Weaver made his stance clear, leaving Marcus no choice.

Realizing that he had to gamble it all for a way out, Marcus lowered his head, clenching his fists in frustration.

"Don't worry. I will help you digest them. But do note that I've exploited all that remains from Mithras' Transgressions to leave his girlfriends a parting gift. Meaning that moving forward I won't be able to press them directly till they pile up more Transgressions.

So Marcus, please don't let this opportunity go to waste…if you wish to save your dream of wisdom, that is," the Weaver said, and in that same breath shifted to Aurelia.

The Blood Empress flinched immediately. Eyes narrowing at the Weaver as his burning face softened at her.

"(Who…are you?)" Having never met the Weaver before, Aurelia couldn't understand why she recognized his aura.

Even the voice…the voice especially! It was just like…

Aurelia's thoughts trailed, cut off by the Weaver reaching out and patting her head with a gentle smile.

"(The voice inside your head!)" The Weaver answered in the Old Tongue, his voice now a 100% match for the one that had driven Aurelia's massacres from time immemorial.

A current of warm energies poured into Aurelia's head, blowing away the effects of Mithras' perfected pheromones. Her response came without delay. Her grateful sword cleaving upward and slicing open the Weaver's chest!

"Hohoho!" No blood gushed forth. But Aurelia didn't care, and like a possessed sword demoness, hacked the Weaver down! He healed nigh instantly; arms stretched out as he allowed Aurelia to hack at will.

"Don't mind me my child, and please go ahead. Hack at will. Hack this old shack if it makes you feel better.

I am the reason for everything. The one who orchestrated your life. Step by step. Trial by trial. Everything you've been through is my design. All that you have mine by default.

Your glory. Your pain. Little morsel, even your pain doesn't belong to you.

THE SOUL CURSE YOU SUFFERED FROM THE PREVIOUS DRAGON KING IS NO EXCEPTION! IT'S MINE! ALL MINE!

So cut me down Aurelia! Give it your best shot. I will neither resist nor punish you because you dear child…are a pet I must protect.

My little…puppy," the Weaver said, his ancient voice turning melancholic as he gave Aurelia another pat on the head.

The empress' arms lost all strength, her sword falling as she lowered her hand, reeling in a dizzy spell.

It was as if the world around her expanded infinitely, making her feel smaller and smaller as the Weaver and surroundings reached astronomical proportions.

In that instant, Aurelia only wanted one thing: flee. Every particle of her body told her to flee. But her soul refused to retreat, demanding the Weaver's heart impaled on her sword!

But how? Hopeless…it's…hopeless!

Behind the mask, the blood drained off Aurelia's face, and she backpedaled, shaking as her jaw dropped…and she screamed her lungs out.

The scream broke the Weaver's heart. But at the same time, he couldn't deny the charm of that mournful melody. A conflicting sensation that the wrinkled old man wouldn't get to enjoy because here, Aurelia's scream peaked. And the Weaver discovered the Right of Annihilation hiding in the sound waves!

Like the howl of a thousand banshees, Aurelia's voice ripped through the Weaver's soul, forcing his knees to buckle under the stress.

Worldbreaker crossed planes and divine secrets, dropping on the Temple of Meditations like a falling meteor!

"Humph!" Undeterred, the Weaver snorted, conjuring an array of cubes and prisms that fused into a tyrant-class Destiny Beast. The creature launched at Worldbreaker, the two colliding in the boundless heavens and cracking the temple's foundations with each collision.

Intrigued, the Weaver glanced at Mithras, not surprised to see dark-red cracks spread across his skin.

"Hoho…time's up, Aurelia! An undesirable guest wants to say 'hi.' And I'm not trying to meet him," the Weaver chortled, vanishing in a burst of chilling flames. Aurelia didn't hesitate, jumping into the flames, and vanishing the moment next!

Only Mithras and Marcus remained. The former fighting with his past to retake control of his soul while the latter stepped dangerously close. His fangs extending…for the Decimation Skill!

Wasting no time on BS, Marcus' fangs sank in Mithras' neck; pushing with maximum bite force and puncturing just enough for the King of the Nerva to drink Mithras' blood and consume his soul!
