Chapter 438: A Talk With A Tree

-----

Yggdrasil had woken up as she felt her power be enhanced, her branches extended across the skies of Frank's divine realm, as her leaves got tender and healthier, a few fruits came out of her branches, and even her roots got stronger and sipped deeper into the primordial divine energy that glowed across Frank's divine realm.

"Hmmm… This is good…" she said.

"Oh, you're awake. A lot of stuff happened since you went to sleep. You literally skipped a whole arc." Said Frank.

"Oohh… I apologize, Frank, I was just very sleepy. We of the Yggdrasil Race sleep for hundreds of years as if they were little naps, thousands of years are a bit more serious naps, it usually takes millions of years for us to sleep fully…" said Yggdrasil.

"I see… So you have memories of your own race, knowledge?" asked Frank.

"A bit. It seems to be within my own self, something no one told me about but that I instinctively know about. Weird, right?" asked the large tree.

"I guess, it is something like in your genetic material kind of deal…"

"I don't know what you're talking about, but sure, that's it." Said Yggdrasil with a serene tone of voice.

"Anyways, how come you woke up if you didn't completed a full nap?"

"Oh, that's due to your new power, you seem to have made a deeper connection with me, Frank. It feels so good I had to wake up for a bit…" she said.

"I see, how are my parents going?" asked Frank.

"Your parents… Oh, they're doing good. Sleeping. They had been caught inside a large dream made by a powerful Supreme God- No, two Supreme Gods." Said Yggdrasil.

"Eh? What?!"

"Indeed. They are from another world, Kritias or something… Hmm… they don't have ill will. By a chance of fate, their consciousness ended landing into these gods mindscapes, and they had been being trained by them ever since." Said Yggdrasil.

"What? I didn't knew this! A-Are they okay? Are you sure?"

"Yes… They should be fine, these gods seem interested in your parents, who had just suddenly gotten inside their soul's mindscapes, it seems that Universal Fate is taking place here, as your Fate Divinity is bringing your parents to a fortuitous encounter that could actually help you make a new bond with important figures across the Outer Universe…" said Yggdrasil.

"Y-You talk as if you knew so much, and you only nap…" said Frank.

"Well, I can see and know as long as I connect my Spiritual Roots with the Main Root of the Universe, my mother, the Tree of the Universe. However, what I can see is limited accordingly to my powers, as long as I have a connection to it, however, I can see it in detail and know a lot." Said Yggdrasil.

"So like Appraisal?" asked Frank.

"I don't know what that is but sure, like Appraisal." Said Yggdrasil.

Apparently, Frank has been revealed such a thing! His parents were training with two mysterious Supreme God-level beings in the Outer Universe living in a world named Kritias out of nowhere!

There was no other explanation to this happening other than because Fate wanted it to be like this.

"Can you tell me more?" asked Frank.

"Hmmm… As far as I can go, they're named Veronica and Ervas and- Ah, I cannot go further, they seem to have blocked my ability to see their information, they're very strong. It seems they have their own System like yours, although theirs is supported by an enormous transmigration cycle instead than being a Trait," said Yggdrasil.

"I-Incredible… So there are other System Users out there?" wondered Frank.

"Fear not, your parents will automatically be pulled back here if such entities try to hurt their minds in some way or form, but they seem to eb doing fine. Just wait until they wake up for them to tell you about them. They seem to even be healing the broken minds of your parents, maybe they're of a good faction of outer universe entities, by doing this favor to you, they might try to make you an ally." Said Yggdrasil.

"I-I see… I can't help but still be quite worried, but I will try to trust you." Said Frank.

"Well, thanks for trying to trust me…" sighed Yggdrasil.

"Now, it seems that I can now develop more abilities, the fruits that I've laid there are not for you, as you won't get anything, but their purpose is for your allies. These are named Skill Fruits, and within them lays the power of Skills. Those that eat them can acquire Skills from a wide variety of types, it seems to be random to an extent, but the skills given are vast and they're strong too, give them with caution… I believe three might emerge every week." Said Yggdrasil.

"So aside from the ones that heal and give stats, there are Skill Fruits now? I see… I wonder if I can create them myself? Maybe adding my own Skills into it?" asked Frank.

"Hmm… That's certainly sounds interesting to an extent, but no, it cannot be like that… yet!" said Yggdrasil.

"Not yet?"

"You require to upgrade me more! Go level up!" said the tree.

"Leveling up as a Demigod is very hard!" said Frank, reprimanding the tree.

"Just upgrade a dungeon to Demigod-Rank, it shouldn't be so hard…" said the tree.

"It is! Orb is already growing at a fast pace but she's still quite far from reaching the power to spawn Demigod-level monsters strong enough and in big quantities." Said Frank.

"Hmm… Have you tried Dungeon Keys? You got one, remember?"

"Ah… the Undead Necropolis? But it is outdated." Said Frank.

"Oh no, Dungeon Keys adjust to the current level of power you have." Said Yggdrasil.

"What…! I didn't knew such an important thing… the item didn't said it. How did you knew?" asked Frank.

"Our connection had made me a system admin of sorts as of now, I know a lot, hehe…"

"You're a bit creepy with that laugh, but thanks for telling me this, now I am excited to enter it…"

"Be careful! The Undead Necropolis is not just a Dungeon made by the System; it is in a Universe by itself!"

"Eh?"

What could had Yggdrasil meant by "a Universe by itself"?
