Gu Jing was exasperated. He tried to come closer but Qiao Yin waved a needle in her hand, making him stop.
Gu Jing froze in his tracks.
He glanced at the chillingly silver needle, then at Qiao Yin’s calm face. His handsome face flushed in frustration.
However, Qiao Yin’s methods scared him. He feared that if she were to stick him with another needle, he’d be unable to speak for a month and might choke in his own anger!
He glared at Qiao Yin, clearly annoyed, and stormed out.
No sooner had he left than her grandmother and cousin arrived in Qiao Yin’s office.
Qiao Yin recognized their expressions immediately. She hurriedly said: “He’s nothing good, I’ve already stuck him with a needle, he left angrily!”
Her grandmother shook her head helplessly: “I thought you’ve finally come around and found a new boyfriend. It seems that my happiness was premature.”
Finishing her words, she returned to her consulting room to continue seeing patients.

Just as Ye Wan was about to leave, she noticed the bouquet of flowers abandoned at the door. She asked Qiao Yin: “What about these flowers? They’re such a huge bunch, it would be a waste to throw them in the bin. They’re so beautiful and fresh!”
Qiao Yin thought for a moment and reluctantly said: “It would be wasteful to throw them away; the flowers themselves didn’t do anything wrong. So, let’s just dismantle the bouquet and give a few flowers to each patient that comes in today.”
Ye Wan picked up the flowers: “Sounds good. I think everyone will be happy to receive free roses.”
While the two were talking, someone suddenly rushed through the door and directly bumped into Qiao Yin.
Qiao Yin stumbled, almost falling. Fortunately, Ye Wan caught her in time. Otherwise, she would have taken a hard tumble.
