Chapter 264 I Hope You Guys Weren't Waiting Too Long for Me.

"Thanks for the advice, Dr. Love Guru," Jack retorted sarcastically at him as he raised his middle finger in defiance toward Nathan's advice. "But I don't need any tips from anyone else on how to win over Layla's heart. I'm not going to do anything that would make me look bad or ruin my image in front of her. So stop worrying so much about it already."

James nodded along with Jack's statement while adding his own opinion on the matter as well. "You said it yourself, dude. As long as you don't act like a total dick toward her during our trip, everything should work out fine between both of you. Just remember what we discussed earlier about treating girls with respect no matter what happens. If anything goes wrong, though... Well, I guess you can kiss your chances of ever being together goodbye for good."

However, before Jack could reply with another snarky remark directed at his friend, James noticed his girlfriend arriving along with Zoe walking beside her.

It was easy to spot Eva thanks to her stunning looks. Her beautiful black hair fell over her shoulders in soft waves as she moved gracefully through the crowds of people milling around the pier area. She was wearing a beautiful white sleeveless dress with a deep V-neckline and a flared skirt that ended just below her buttocks, revealing most of her legs. She also wore a pair of stylish sunglasses that covered half of her face but still allowed others to see how attractive she was overall.

On the other hand, Zoe was wearing a white t-shirt paired with denim jeans, showing off plenty of skin across her chest area while still leaving enough to the imagination for those looking from afar. She was a brunette with shoulder-length hair and brown, almond-shaped eyes that always gave her an air of elegance mixed with sensuality at all times.

Both girls looked gorgeous in their own unique way, making it obvious why most men turned their heads when they passed by them.

"Hi there!" Eva greeted them as soon as she got close enough.

On the other hand, without wasting any more time, Zoe stepped forward and wrapped Nathan in a warm embrace that lasted several seconds until finally pulling away again with a smile plastered across her face. "Good morning, Handsome."

"Eva..." James greeted his girlfriend, taking her into his arms and placing a gentle kiss on the forehead. "You look beautiful as always."

Although Eva appreciated James's compliments regarding her appearance and his affection toward her, deep inside she couldn't help but feel somewhat annoyed whenever he kissed her on the forehead instead of on her lips. But she didn't let it affect her mood too much since they were about to enjoy their trip soon.

"Thanks." Eva gave him an appreciative smile before looking around to see who was present among their group of friends so far.

Meanwhile, Zoe was busy talking to Nathan about their plans for today after exchanging greetings with everyone else present at the moment.

"Where are they?" Jack suddenly asked out loud, breaking up the small conversations taking place between them all at once. He seemed impatient after seeing no sign of Layla arriving yet alongside Madison.

Before anyone could answer him, though, a familiar voice called out behind them and caught their attention almost immediately.

"Hi, guys! Sorry I'm late! I hope you guys weren't waiting too long for me." Madison's voice rang out as she approached, wearing a red tank top that revealed her flat stomach and tight black shorts that clung to her curvy hips and butt, with her thick thighs exposed for all to see.

Her long blonde hair flowed down past her backside in gentle waves as if dancing around in slow motion while her green eyes sparkled with mischief when she noticed how everyone stared at her body from head to toe.

Despite being considered one of the hottest girls in their college by everyone's standards, including both men and women alike, Madison wasn't your typical bimbo who relied solely upon her looks and sex appeal for everything she wanted out of life. She was also very intelligent, outgoing, fun-loving, and adventurous. This combination made her a popular figure on social media, where she shared photos of herself traveling around and doing whatever came into her mind at any given time.

Ethan couldn't take his gaze away from Madison as soon as he spotted her walking over their way with confidence oozing out of every part of her being; however, when their eyes met, he quickly diverted his sight elsewhere to avoid getting caught staring like an idiot.

He's always liked Madison ever since they started sharing the same classes in university, but due to his shy personality combined with low self-esteem, he'd never managed to confess his feelings toward her or even talk much beyond simple conversations about studies or everyday topics.

"It's alright, Maddie," Eva said, greeting Madison first by giving her friend a hug before continuing. "We also arrived just a few moments ago ourselves. The only one missing now is Layla."

"Oh yeah, that's true..." Madison commented, glancing around for any trace of her friend. "Did she really agree to come with us on this trip? I thought she wasn't interested in these types of activities involving guys from college, so I assumed she wasn't coming along."

She said that while casting a meaningful look at Jack, knowing full well what kind of intentions he had regarding her friend and the reason behind this sudden invitation extended toward them. However, she didn't comment any further on that topic, as it wasn't her business to meddle between those two. Still, she couldn't help but feel curious as to why Layla decided to accept their offer at last after refusing several times before.
