Chapter 677: Chapter 677 - Doom Beneath the Dome

?

A massive dome-shaped domain suddenly enveloped nearly the entire palace and a large portion of the city. It happened so quickly, escalating beyond anything anyone could have anticipated.

Imagine this: outside the city walls, people were locked in battle against demons and Named Demons. And then, out of nowhere, a higher-ranked Named Demon appeared within the city itself! The demon cast a domain that trapped most of the city and everything within it. As if that wasn't enough, demons began appearing all over the city, swarming through the streets. It was a catastrophe-a full-scale calamity!

Even Tora and Max were left speechless when the news reached them. Turning around, they stared at the colossal dome-shaped barrier looming in the distance.

"Max, are we seriously seeing this? A dome that size, covering nearly half the city! And demons showing up inside the walls? This wasn't supposed to happen!" Tora exclaimed, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"Yeah, no kidding," Max replied grimly. "A higher-ranked Named Demon sneaks in, traps the entire city, and starts summoning demons everywhere? It's insane."

"You know what's terrifying, Max?" Tora said, his voice dropping. "We're watching history being made, but I don't think any of us are going to be around to tell the story."

"Let's just hope the King and his forces have something up their sleeves," Max muttered. "Because if they don't... there might not be a city left to save."

Inside the domain, King Alorik wasted no time issuing commands.

"Knights, spread out! Save as many people as you can and eliminate every demon you come across!"

The Knights obeyed instantly, scattering in all directions. Within moments, only King Alorik and Prince Stolas remained, facing each other in the desolate expanse of the domain.

"The demon army will keep appearing as long as I remain standing here," Prince Stolas said with an eerie calm.

"You've just handed me the answer. All I need to do is kill you, and this entire mess ends."

"Hah! Ha! Ha!" Prince Stolas laughed. "I can see where your arrogance comes from. Just because you're a descendant of the Sloth Champion doesn't mean you inherited his power." "Just because I'm only a descendant of the Sloth Champion doesn't mean you should see me as weak," King Alorik shot back. "We've fought to protect this kingdom for generations, and that won't change-not now, and certainly not because some random Named Demon thinks he can challenge us."

"Hah! Pathetic!" Prince Stolas sneered. "You're not even worth my time. But I'll give you this -be proud, for you'll be the first king I kill in Yunatea. Consider that your greatest accomplishment."

King Alorik gripped his greatsword tightly, the blade gleaming in his hands. "Your crimes end here," he declared. "I'll pass judgment on you right now."

"Let's see," Stolas said, spreading his arms mockingly, "if you've got anything to back up that bold talk!"

King Alorik moved his left hand in repeated motions, forming intricate hand signs. Suddenly, golden chains erupted from the ground around Prince Stolas, shooting toward the demon from all directions in an attempt to bind him.

Prince Stolas gave a faint smirk, summoning his wings. With each powerful flap, he gracefully dodged the golden chains as they lunged at him.

One chain managed to graze his shoulder, but it dissolved into fragments of golden light before it could latch on. "You'll have to do better than that," he said mockingly

Without wasting a second, King Alorik dashed forward at incredible speed, swinging his greatsword in rapid, relentless strikes. Yet, Prince Stolas evaded each attack, weaving to the left and right, and soaring behind the king with effortless agility.

Then, in an instant, King Alorik's movements became a blur. His speed surged, and with a sudden, powerful swing, he landed a devastating strike aimed straight at Prince Stolas.

But the demon was quick to react. He raised his crimson staff, summoning a swirling mass of shadowy energy that twisted and coiled around the greatsword, halting its momentum.

What followed was chaos. Waves of massive explosions rippled outward in all directions. D- D-DOOM! D-D-DOOM! Each wave flattened the ground and obliterated nearby buildings, as if they were nothing but leaves caught in a violent storm.

The destruction around them grew more evident with every blast, leaving the once-thriving area in ruins, consumed by the overwhelming clash of power.

In that moment, several golden chains managed to ensnare Prince Stolas, wrapping tightly around his legs, arms, and eventually his entire body. Even so, his hands still held firm, blocking the strike from King Alorik's greatsword.

And then suddenly! A massive greatsword, as large as a building, appeared above them, poised to strike down. It was as if a god itself had descended, driving its divine blade toward the earth.

In the blink of an eye, the colossal sword began its descent, hurtling toward Prince Stolas. The impact was immediate and catastrophic. A titanic wave of energy exploded outward, sending shockwaves in every direction. The sheer force lifted debris, shattered stones, and fragments of buildings high into the air, scattering them like a raging tidal wave.

D-D-DOOM! D-D-DOOM!

The ground trembled violently as the blast erupted, shaking the very foundations of the city. A deafening roar followed, its sheer intensity rattling the air. Light, blinding and searing, filled the entire area, cutting through the darkness like a blazing sun.

Everything in the vicinity was thrown into chaos, the once-visible battlefield now consumed by a storm of rubble, light, and unrelenting power.

The players who had managed to capture glimpses of the battle before it escalated found their recordings cut short as their bodies were caught in the shockwaves of destruction. Moments later, they were all killed and forcibly logged out, their screens fading to black. But the footage they had broadcasted, sparking reactions from the internet: [Bonecrusher139]: "Imagine being a normal citizen today. You woke up thinking about taxes, and now you're dodging debris from a god-tier fight. []"

[Drewacord]: "Y'all worried about the fight, but my man Kevin's bakery just got wiped off the map. Who's gonna sell me cinnamon rolls now?? []"

[Ghstrider28]: "So we all saw that coming, right? No way a city doesn't get nuked with that kind of fight. GG buildings. GG streets."

[Tim_Holman]: "Wait, did anyone check if there were drops after that blast? Asking for a

friend."

[Jeremy_Midgett]: "Me: tries to record for clout. Game: logs me out violently. RIP, but at least I died a hero."

[Rubelli]: "I was just farming XP near the city, and now I'm homeless. Thanks, King Alorik." [Malex_999]: "King Alorik be like: 'Hold my kingdom, I got this.' But real talk, what's the repair bill gonna look like??"

The massive explosion shook the city on an enormous scale, but even at the epicenter of the blast, debris was quickly scattered again, cleared away by the sheer intensity of the ongoing

battle.

King Alorik moved with incredible speed, swinging his greatsword as if it weighed nothing. Yet, the Demon easily blocked each strike with his magic staff, their clash producing shockwaves that rippled through the air.

It was clear King Alorik was giving it his all, every attack filled with determination and power. Meanwhile, the Demon responded with an almost casual air, a faint smile on his lips as he

laughed softly, seeming to relish the fight.

Even the colossal attacks that had nearly obliterated everything around them appeared to be little more than minor inconveniences for the Demon. This was only the beginning-a prelude to the far greater destruction and calamity that loomed on the horizon.
