?
Western Gate. Optimus, Trison, Toberry, Ivana, and Fokil vs King Balam.
"Tora!!!" Max shouted loudly. "I'm seriously starting to lose it watching all of this. We're barely holding our ground against attacks from every direction, and now another wave of reinforcements has shown up... Tora, please, explain who all these people are. I recognize some of them as members of the Vensalor Guild, but the others..."
Tora gave an awkward grin, rubbing the back of his neck before replying. "Alright, Max, let's start with the Western Gate. That one over there? He's a blacksmith from Deadbay City."
"A blacksmith? How? From Deadbay City? Why didn't anyone notice him during the last war there?"
"Well," Tora said with a shrug, "I'm pretty sure the cameras didn't cover the entire fight, but I'm certain he was part of it."
"But how does a dwarf blacksmith suddenly end up here? Can you tell me more about him, Tora?"
Tora hesitated before answering, "I'm not sure I can explain all that, Max. I don't know much about him myself. But judging from the damage he's already dealt, I'm confident this guy is going to put up a strong fight against King Balam."
"Agreed, Tora. Now let's move on to the Eastern Gate."
Eastern Gate. Goldrich, Jovina, Melliandra, and Fang vs Countess Murmur.
"Am I seeing this right? Isn't that the Fae Beast you all fought during the expedition to the Fae Land? You were on that expedition, weren't you, Tora?"
"Yeah, Max, that's Fang," Tora confirmed, nodding. "But don't worry-he's on our side now. Fang is one of Jovina's summoned beasts."
"How...? I've noticed some Fae are now in Slumdon Town too. Is this also because of Broken?"
"Yes, I'd say so," Tora replied with a nod. "The Fae Beast now follows Broken and the Vensalor Guild, and it formed a contract with Jovina since she's the only Beast Master on the team."
"That's incredible, Tora," Max said. "It looks like the Vensalor Guild's ranks just got a whole lot stronger."
Southern Gate. Livelywood, Starfall, Elincia, and Wrath Champion Booba vs Duke Alloces. Max continued, "Alright, I noticed the Southern Gate has received some seriously strong reinforcements too. I clearly heard that man shouting something about being a Wrath Champion? Isn't he also a member of Vensalor, Tora?"
Tora chuckled nervously. "Yes, hehe, that's Booba. He's actually Elincia's brother."
"Oh, now that's an interesting piece of news," Max said, raising an eyebrow. "So, the Vensalor Guild officially has a Divine Champion, and it turns out he's Elincia's brother. Fascinating..."
Max leaned closer to the camera, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they've got more than one Divine Champion in their ranks."
Northern Gate. Charmelyn, Skywarden, Kingsley, SexyGrill and SexyBloom vs Marquis Orias. "And next, Tora, this is really interesting," Max said, leaning forward with a curious expression. "I know SexyGrill is a Lust Champion and also a Unique-grade class holder. But the girl with her-SexyBloom-I'm pretty sure they both supported Broken during the final battle. And they seem to have a close connection with him."
Max's face lit up with intrigue as he turned to Tora. "Now, tell me, because this has been a burning question for a lot of people. What exactly is the relationship between SexyGrill, SexyBloom, and Broken? I mean, they rarely come to the South Continent, yet they seem really close to him."
Tora grinned awkwardly at the question. "Max, I feel like you're exploiting me with all these questions."
"Oh, come on, Tora," Max replied with a laugh. "We all know how hard it is to get an interview with Broken, so as the representative of the Vensalor Guild, it's your job to answer this!"
Tora sighed, raising his hands. "Well, Max, I think there are some things I'll have to pass on for now. Let's just say the right time to address this question hasn't come yet."
"Oh, hahaha!" Max laughed, turning back to face the camera with a mischievous smile. "So, everyone, I know these two girls have definitely caught your attention, okay? But a word of warning-Broken, the leader of the Vensalor Guild, is standing right behind them. And trust me he's watching you."
Max finished with a small laugh, leaving her audience both entertained and curious.
Golden Age Company.
Marco sat with his legs crossed, tapping the armrest of his chair repeatedly with his fingers.
"What are the odds of victory against the Named Demons?"
"Sir, after the arrival of the new reinforcements, their chances of winning have increased by 18%. It's now at 37%," his assistant reported.
Marco sighed, clenching his fist in frustration. "Still below 50%."
They continued to watch the battle unfold on the large monitor. The screen showed that while the team had managed to hold their ground against the Named Demons, only those in this room knew the full weight of what would come next.
The assistant continued, "At the Western Gate, they're still lacking magic damage and defense penetration to bring down King Balam, whose tanker build is making him nearly invulnerable."
Marco nodded. "And their magic users are stationed at other gates."
"Exactly, sir," the assistant replied. "As for the Eastern Gate, the balance is better, but they need to force Countess Murmur to stay grounded longer if they want to deal more substantial
damage."
The assistant paused before adding, "And then there's Booba, the Wrath Champion."
Marco raised an eyebrow.
"He managed to gain his Divine Champion status by using his wealth to corner the original owner of the title," the assistant explained. "In the end, he successfully convinced the original owner to sell the Divine Champion status to him."
Marco gave a faint smile. "While his methods are certainly more humane, I can't deny that Booba's approach was clever."
"Yes," the assistant continued. "Afterward, Booba killed that player repeatedly over the course of a month until the blessing fully detached from them and transferred to him."
Marco's smile turned cold. "A move like that is surely an insult to the gods of sin."
"And at the Northern Gate," the assistant continued, "SexyGrill and SexyBloom should be able to hold their ground against Marquis Orias for now. However, Grill can only activate his blessing for a limited time, and she already used it to fly there using Bloom's skill."
"So, they won't last much longer," Marco noted.
"Yes, sir," the assistant confirmed.
"What about the Prince?" Marco asked.
A heavy silence followed his question. The others exchanged uneasy glances before their attention shifted to a separate monitor.
On the screen was an image of a swirling portal, suspended high in the sky, far above the battlefield. Its edges shimmered with unstable energy, rotating rapidly.
"Based on our calculations, sir," the assistant finally said, "the portal will fully open in approximately... ten minutes."
The tension in the room thickened as everyone fixed their eyes on the screen. The battle raged on in the other feeds, but their focus remained locked on the swirling gateway above.
When the predicted time arrived, the portal's rotation intensified, spinning faster and faster until, with a deafening silence, something burst forth from its center. A shadowy figure shot downward, wings beating furiously as it dove straight toward the ground.
The creature moved quickly, cloaked in shadow, its shape barely visible as it shot through the air. Instead of heading toward the battlefield, it suddenly changed direction, diving straight into the heart of the city's inner districts.
It landed in a crowded open square where terrified citizens were desperately trying to flee.
The impact of its landing was explosive. Dust and debris blasted outward, and the force of the shockwave brought a sudden, heavy silence to the panicked crowd. Slowly, the figure straightened, towering over everyone around it.
As the dust cleared, the being's full form was revealed. A man clad in jagged black and crimson armor. His massive wings, their sleek black feathers dissolving into shadow at the edges. Atop his head rested a twisted black crown adorned with glowing red gems. In his hand, he wielded a unique crimson staff.
The man's pale face came into view, his glowing crimson eyes cold and piercing beneath his dark, slicked-back hair. A faint smile played on his lips as he surveyed the chaos around him.
"Are the people of Yunatea this weak?"
Then, text appeared on the screen, identifying the newcomer:
