The café door creaked open, letting in a gust of cold air carrying traces of snow from outside. Inside, the usually tranquil atmosphere was anything but. Patrons clustered around a large screen dominating one wall, their faces tense as they watched what seemed to be a massive, vividly animated war unfolding.

The one who had entered was a man clad in a thick coat, his blonde hair tousled by the icy wind. Beside him was a little girl, no older than five, her small hand tightly clasped in his.

"I'm so hungry. I want to eat," the girl said.

The man hesitated, glancing at the crowd. He gently pulled her hand, leaning down slightly. "Are you sure you want to eat here? What about finding another place?"

"No, Daddy," the girl replied. "You promised we'd eat here this morning."

"Okay." With a soft sigh, he relented, guiding her toward the farthest table, tucked away from the crowd.

He helped her out of her school bag, placing it on a chair before she pulled out a book and began to flip through it. Her legs swung idly beneath the table as she read.

For a moment, her eyes wandered back to the screen and the captivated patrons.

"Daddy..." she began.

"Yes, May?"

"I haven't seen you play that game in a long time," she said, pointing toward the screen. "Don't you miss it?"

The man's lips curved into a faint smile as he shook his head. "I'm a bit busy now, and..." He paused, his gaze softening as he looked at her. "I want to spend more time with you."

The little girl nodded, her curiosity piqued as sudden shouts erupted from the crowd.

"No, no, no! Someone needs to save Charmelyn!"

"Oh, damn it! She's an assassin, for god's sake! How is she supposed to fight a flying demon like that?!"

"This is so depressing. Someone has to step in already."

"Where are the other Vensalor members?"

"Yeah, Elincia, Kingsley-even Broken! Where the hell are they?"

"Goldrich and Jovina are struggling on their side too."

"But, all the credit has to go to this rich old man. He's truly the GOAT!"

May tilted her head, her curious eyes darting between the commotion and her father.

"Daddy, are they talking about your friends?" she asked

But her father didn't respond. He remained frozen, his gaze locked on the large screen at the far end of the room. His hand, still gripping the pitcher he'd been using to pour her water, trembled slightly as the liquid overflowed, spilling across the table in a silent cascade.

Noticing his expression, May furrowed her brow. She quickly leaned forward, steadying the pitcher and nudging it upright before gently pushing his hand away.

"Daddy! You're making a mess!"

Her words jolted him out of his daze. "Ah, sorry. I didn't mean to..." He chuckled, grabbing a napkin to mop up the spill.

May giggled softly. "You're so silly, Daddy."

A short while later, the man and his daughter finished their meal. He helped her bundle up in her coat and scarf before gently taking her hand and leading her out of the café in a hurry.

As they made their way to the exit, several patrons exchanged glances, some leaning close to whisper in hushed tones.

"Are you sure? No way!"

"Yes, I'm positive! That's him. Maylock! I'd recognize him anywhere."

"No way! If he'd been in the game, the battle wouldn't have been half as hard!"

"Oh, man. I really want to go up to him and say something."

"I heard he's dealing with personal stuff. That's why he hasn't logged into the game lately."

"He has to know what's happening. He must."

"Should I go over? Just to tell him how much he's inspired all of us in Immortal Legacy?"

"He probably has his reasons. It's not for us to question."

Northern Gate.

Charmelyn, Skywarden, and Kingsley vs Marquis Orias.

Something extraordinary dominated the battlefield. A colossal grizzly bear, monstrous in size, stood clad in jagged black armor streaked with glowing gold accents. The armor was, featuring spiked pauldrons and a heavily reinforced chest plate.

From afar, the grizzly was truly a breathtaking spectacle. The sheer size and weight of its armor made it even more formidable. Its massive frame smashed through the battlefield, striking wildly while spectral lions lunged at it from various directions, trying to overwhelm it.

"Let's call this beast Dawnbreaker, Max," Tora remarked, keeping an eye on the clash raging across the four gates.

"That name is seriously cool, Tora," Max replied. "The armor looks insanely solid, and it makes Kingsley's transformation even more terrifying! But... does his new class allow him to equip armor like that?"

"Haha, well, that's a simple way of putting it. Yes, it's one of the perks," Tora admitted with a grin. "But there's definitely more to it. I think Kingsley hasn't revealed everything about his

abilities just yet."

"Still," Max continued, "Kingsley's transformation is incredibly versatile. He can focus on brute damage or even take to the skies. I'd say Charmelyn just got a massive boost in this

fight."

The battle with the current team raged on for what felt like an eternity. Every player poured their hopes into this massive fight, pushing their limits to turn the tide. Yet, on another front, the number of demons remained overwhelming, and despite their best efforts, many players found themselves unable to hold the line, with some succumbing to defeat.

Western Gate.

The situation worsened when members of the Vensalor Guild began to falter. Ivana and Optimus were both caught in the crushing grasp of King Balam's massive hands. A torrent of blazing fire engulfed them, yet Ivana's protective shield held firm, sparing them for now- but it was clear the shield wouldn't last forever.

"Trison! We need to save them!" Toberry shouted. "If we don't do something, they'll die! Ivana... we can't let her fall!"

"Toberry, do you seriously think we can get close?" Trison shot back. "The demons are

endless! We can barely hold this position as it is."

"No way! We can't let anything happen to Ivana!"
