Evolution options

Effect of blessing activated, all evolution options will be replaced with stronger variants.

The effect of [Last Dragon] is activated; an additional evolution option will be generated.

The effect of [Runic Body] is activated; evolution options will be modified.

The effect of [Candidate for a Dragonlord] is activated; evolution options will be modified.

...

A double evolution was detected. Please choose two options to combine; the final change will be the fusion of both.

[Volcano Radioactive Noble Apocalypse Mage Dragon]:

Description: A variant of apocalypse dragon evolved to unleash the anger of nature with its immense magical potential.

Their whole bodies are evolved to accommodate magical energy while preserving their powerful physical strength and other properties from the volcano dragon ancestry.

All their powers and organs using mana as fuel will be significantly empowered, lowering their mana cost and increasing their cells, all being evolved to improve their mana affinity.

They have the ability to use the unused mana radiating out of their bodies to condense it into crystals of pure mana growing over their bodies.

These crystals are highly resistant to magical attacks but are relatively fragile against physical ones.

They can also be turned back into mana in the case of emergency, either unleashing a destructive wave of pure mana or getting reabsorbed by a dragon.

They have a secondary set of extra veins pumping pure liquified mana that can be used to move magic through their bodies at a faster rate and enormous bulk.

Their whole brain is highly evolved, containing separate parts purely dedicated to magical operations, significantly speeding up the casting process and ability to sustain multiple spells at once.

[Overlord Volcano Radioactive Noble Apocalypse Dragon]:

Description: A variant of apocalypse dragons that have evolved to better utilize their domains to dish out the anger of nature while preserving the powers originating from their previous evolution.

This variant has the unique power to mark its territory with a second domain that will work in the same way as the domain around its own bodies.

The size of this domain will depend upon the dragon's magic stat and the size of the territory itself.

A dragon can feel and control his territory domain remotely from anywhere in the universe. They can also harness the power of this domain to harvest mana and remotely refuel their reserves.

This territorial domain can also work as a nexus in the time-space allowing a dragon to instantly move into the geographical centre of the domain. This can be used only sparingly as it damages the fabric of space itself, which would need time to heal.

This time depends on the distance crossed by this power.

(SN: Wireless technology is here!)

[Elementshifting Volcano Radioactive Noble Apocalypse Dragon]:

Description: A variant of apocalypse dragons focusing on their bodies, strictly believing in the superiority of their bodies while still preserving the immense magical potential and the large and durable bodies of their volcano dragon ancestry.

Their bodies are larger and more armoured than even the largest volcano dragons.

The flesh and muscles of these huge bodies were changed after centuries of bathing in the elemental energy of dragons, giving them the power to freely blend with the surrounding elements and freely transform into forms made of any element of their domains.

When taking a specific form, that element's power would rise. The more elements the specific form contains, the lesser the boost.

These forms can be either partially elemental, preserving their physical bodies, or fully elemental, turning them into a mass of pure elemental energy.

In the fully elemental form, they will be immune to all of the mundane attacks but will become vulnerable to magical attacks, especially these of opposing elements.

Their breath will change together with the form.

They can shapeshift and travel through their elements when in pure elemental form.

Bonus option:

[Metalised Volcano Storm Nuclear Noble Apocalypse Dragon]:

Description: A variant of apocalypse dragons evolved in the belief that the true path towards power is obtaining and improving affinity with elements without sacrificing their existing power.

The water, wind, and lightning affinities will be fused into a thunderstorm affinity, making it easier and more effective to use these elements in tandem.

This variant also learned how to build upon its earth affinity and gain its affiliated metal affinity.

This allows them to imbue both their armour and magma attacks with mundane metals such as iron or titan.

After losing contact with the dragon, the created metal will slowly deteriorate and, over the years, turn back into mana. The produced materials have no real value as they are just shaped mana.

Both their scales and armours are shiny and metallic, with a massive storm swirling around them.

'I wonder if regular two evolutions weren't better, I would have eight stuff to choose from instead of only two... No, this way, they will synergize better. Anyway, these long names are getting out of hand...'

Vesuvius looked at all of the options, his eyes darting from one corner to another. All of the possibilities were running right before his eyes as he thought about them, 'This is hard as I have to pick two at once, so I have to think about the effects of the combination. Also, aren't some of these similar to some evolutions before, only more compatible with my path?'

He focused back on the first option, an image of a colossal dragon appearing before his eyes.

The dragon was giant, its whole body covered in beautiful glowing crystals that reflected the lights like icicles.

The dragon descended from the sky, dozens of magic circles forming around its body and a barrage of magic shot into all sides.

'Magic is, as always, versatile. I can use it for movement, offence, and even defence. These crystals would also nicely fit with my other defences.'

As he imagined a huge, incredibly bulky dragon covered in multiple layers of defence, he immediately realised a problem, 'I already have so many layers of defence. My scales, my corium armour, and my still-forming hoard armour. How much can I afford to pile on before it negatively affects me? Is it even a problem? On earth, composite defences were always the most effective.'

He moved forwards, putting the bulky problem for later.

'As for the improved brain and the better mana veins, they would synergise with my current self. I could easily use them as building rocks to fuel any insane future abilities and spells.'

Vesuvius nodded at it, knowing that it was a good option, and moved his focus to the second one.

A pain stabbed in his chest as he read through it. He knew that all options were brutally powerful, and he would be forced to choose only two but seeing it with his own eyes was still shocking.

The pain quickly turned into excitement, his teeth showing as he was grinning while imagining a giant dragon resting in a distant valley controlling a whole country with his mind, easily controlling the weather and nature with his affinities.

More and more images flashed before his eyes, his excitement growing even more.

A massive army marched down, the soldiers' armour glinting in the morning sun.

They moved forward without fear, and then suddenly, out of nowhere, the whole ground shook. A massive fissure opened up, leading into the planet's depths, devouring the entire army in one go.

All the soldiers screamingly fell into the abyss under them, the whole army getting destroyed without the dragon even showing up.

'I would be almost like a god, ruling and controlling a whole kingdom. I could destroy enemy armies with a single thought, and all of the extra mana that would be harvested would work like a huge lake to power up my powers.'

His grin was becoming wider and wider, smoke and light escaping out of his open mouth as he kept analyzing the option more and more, 'And that teleportation ability could turn into a lifesaver. Even though space magic could replicate it.'

His eyes shifted towards the third option.

An image of a monstrous dragon appeared before his eyes. The dragon was giant, and its body suddenly flashed, all of its flesh, scales, and bones transforming into pure lightning.

The sky crackled, and a massive white and blue pillar of electricity erupted from the lightning dragon, and everything vanished in the electrical current.

The next moment the dragon vanished into the distance, leaving behind only the shockwaves caused by the sonic boom.

'Ohhh, why? Why are you doing this to me, system? Can't you make one trash to make the decision easier?' Vesuvius calmed the sombre feeling, knowing there was no way but to make the decision.

'Ohh, this looks like the power of that wyrm when they turned into lightning and vanished. Or was that just some spell? Well, anyway, rationally speaking, that immunity against no magical attacks isn't as great as I am already more than tanky enough. The problem is powerful magic attacks.'

Another wave of excitement passed through him as he knew how potent such powers were, 'If I could really turn into lightning and travel like that, that would give me even more mobility than the previous option. At the same time, I could freely boost any of my elements by need. '

Finally, Vesuvius looked towards the one last option, his clawed fingers already itching to unlock something and test his new powers.

The excitement grew even more as he imagined himself flying above an enemy army, his shiny golden armour glinting in the sunlight and his wings making loud, metallic, ringing sounds with each of their flaps.

Then he opened his mouth, and a stream of molten gold descended at his enemies, the gold burning everything and leaving only ash and gold.

He already saw a whole land made of gold, 'Even though it would be fake. It would still be beautiful.'

He almost felt like exploding. His heart was loudly beating and whispering that he should take this one, only for his rationally to step in, 'No, I can't decide just upon how pretty the evolution would be.'

(AN: Btw I will welcome your opinions, as I have a problem deciding :D Hopefully, more points of view will help me.)
