Into the Zombie World

Chapter 17 - A Race Car Needs An Experienced Driver!

Chapter 17 - A Race Car Needs An Experienced Driver!

With stronger 'Will' comes stronger 'Body'. However, it does not mean that if you have a strong body means you also have a strong 'Will'.

The 'Will' acts as the controller of the body. After the Apocalypse Virus succeeded in killing the 'Will', the Apocalypse Virus would then replace it, becoming the one who controls the body.

The body is just the container.

Take a race car and its driver as an example. No matter how strong or fast the race car is, it will still depend on the driver on how much faster they can get. If a race car is driven by a new driver, the inexperienced driver will be afraid to speed up, wasting the full capability of the race car.

Having an experienced driver drive a slow car will also be the same. Although the driver was experienced, he could not show his expertise with a shabby car. If forcefull, it will only result in damaging the shabby car even more.

Nile for example, as he has a stronger 'Will' than his body, his 'Will' could not exert its full potential. If forcefull, he might damage his own body in the process and he might weaken it more if he was not careful.

But if an experienced driver drove the race car, they will be in sync and it will show their full capability

But it does not mean all situations are the same, of course there will be an anomaly inside a group.

Those anomalies will have an advantage in this apocalypse world, as they have a strong body and 'Will' from the start, they have a head start from the others.

Nile thinks that even before the Apocalypse started, their stats must already be at 2.0 to 4.9, the only thing holding them back from breaking through the threshold of 5.0 will be their fleshy body.

But that is answered after the A.V. arrived, as it is made to make bio soldiers, this will be akin to nutrients for these people, with this, they will be able to strengthen their body breaking through into the Level One° human category.

...

Nile arrived at his destination 15 minutes or so prior to his departure. He purposely slowed down his walking as he wanted to search and kill for zombies along the way. A pity that he did not encounter one.

As the Hamlet only has a small population, the houses were also spread. Hecould only see a few houses clustered in a small group from time to time. And after a few distance, he will see another group of houses clustered together.

His house and the councilor's house are only separated by a long road.

Arriving at the destination, not like the group of houses where he came from, the Councilor's house was surrounded by more houses. He could see zombies, limply walking here and there around the area.

Walking along the road, Nile was not afraid of the zombies attacking him. Contrary, he welcomes them warmly with a chop of his butcher knife and after killing them, he will poke his finger on their brain to collect the dead Apocalypse Virus on their brain.

After a few minutes, NIle finally finished killing and harvesting the dead Apocalypse Virus. He earned a few Apocalypse Points totaling his balance into 29 and his status attributes were now at 4.9 with his 'Will' now at 6.4.

He thought that after killing a few more zombies, he would directly Level up. But that does not seem to be the case, as his attributes are stuck at 4.9, as his body could not become stronger, his 'Will' also stagnated and was stuck at 6.4.

After asking the System for an explanation, it stated that in order to break through, he needs time and more Apocalypse Virus.

This where the Apocalypse Virus that was stored by the System plays its part. The System said that only a few more, and it can initiate his Levelling process.

...

At the center of this group of houses stood a house, or rather a small mansion standing out than the rest.

It has its own gate and other lavish decorations present on it.

The gate and its fence was only a head taller than Nile, he was tall, standing 6.1 foot tall.. Although the fence was a head taller than him, he could still see the inside as the fence was half concrete and half metal, the metal bars were also inch apart from each other.

Inside, he notices several zombies walking around. Some of them are in their maid uniforms, and he also notices three zombie guards walking around.

The two guards have shotguns strapped on their necks and one of them has a revolver on his side.

Nile wanted to target these three guards first.

He noticed that the zombies inside were not walking limply. Their walking speed also seems to be faster than the other zombies that he fought before.

Although Nile's attribute was already at 4.9 he still decided to be careful and approach the closest guard to him as sneaky as possible.
