Into the Zombie World

Chapter 159 - Hybrid

Chapter 159 - Hybrid

Before the mutation of plants and trees had occurred, survivors had the problem of acquiring food supplies. Often-times, they would explore the buildings and search for goods that could still be eaten. If worse comes to worst, they would even scavenge the spoiled goods just to go by the day.

Only those who have evolved and became stronger could avoid eating without getting weak for a few days.

Before the mutation of plants and trees, food shortages were an everyday occurrence.

That is why some of the human survivors resorted to the most disgusting thing a human being could do, during an apocalypse.

Eating Human Flesh. a.k.a Cannibalism

Such humans who eat human flesh can no longer be considered as humans. They are even worse than the mindless zombies who only followed the orders of the Apocalypse Virus inside them.

However, aside from those human survivors who eat human flesh, there are also other types of human survivors who have done even more disgusting things.

Eating Zombie Flesh.

For the zombies, such humans can no longer be called humans. They are the freaks who were trying to take away their flesh-eating jobs.

However, what happens if a human had tried eating the human and rotting flesh of the zombies?

Another mutation would occur.

Those humans who have eaten both the human and zombie flesh are scumbags to both humans and zombies alike. For them, such humans no longer have the right to be still living.

This kind of disgusting humans had gathered at the center of the Town of Daan.

They call themselves Hybrids.

And such Hybrid, was now in front of Nile, looking like a clown.

"Dude! What happened to your face?" Nile said with brows scrutinized together in confusion.

He didn't know why, but he got this repulsive feeling towards the man in front of him.

The man before him had such a disgusting and disturbing face. In Nile's perspective, it didn't lose out to the zombie's rotting appearance.

The man had black and blue bruises all over his face. His teeth were sharp, just like a saw. His face was thin, just like a person who hasn't eaten something for too long. If he must compare, then the person's slender appearance was even worse than when he had just transmigrated over here.

What's strange was that despite its sickly appearance, the man before him still had so much energy and strength.

Earlier, this man suddenly pounced in front of him. The man was not registered on the System Map, unlike humans and zombies.

Inside the System Map, his indicator was a green dot, his pets indicator was a darkish green dot, the other human survivors had the indicator of a gray dot, while the zombie's had the indicator of red dots.

Their sizes would vary according to their strength, based on the System's way of categorizing them.

However, the man before had no such indicator, that's why he didn't know where it had come from. He already asked the System, but the System had been silent ever since the man had appeared.

He already used the stats function, but it didn't show anything unusual, the stats function stated that the man was human.

Fortunately, he was able to react in time and transformed the weapon of change into a long staff with a glove on the tip. He then used the gloves as a means to grab the zombie's head, not to let it get closer.

"Tsk! Annoying!" He said as he clicked his tongue with a scrutinized brow.

The man was indeed annoying, he keeps on pushing his body towards them as he grabs the glove, trying to swat it away and escape its grasp. However, Nile was unwilling to let the man go, not until he had calmed down.

"Do you want me to kill you?" He said with a calm tone. The repulsive feeling he felt was now getting stronger.

The man stopped for a moment, however after a while, he still continued to resist.

Croco curiously approached the man, he sniffs him like a dog as he waited for his master's order.

"Alright-"As Nile was about to instruct Croco to kill the man, a System Prompt suddenly sounded inside his mind.

[Level One° Human/Hybrid

Stats: Appetency of flesh]

At the same time, the System Map also refreshed, and the instant it came back, the man now had a dot indicator. It was an orange dot.

'Hybrid?' He thought and asked the System at the same time.

The System then briefed him on what they are and what they have done to become like this. Of course, it was still a lengthy explanation. Fortunately, Nile only glanced at it for him to understand it entirely, courtesy to the Instant Adapter Talent.

CRACK!

Suddenly, a bone-cracking sound echoed as Nile trembled with rage.

"SCUM!"

Eating human flesh!?

SCUM!

"You deserved a thousand deaths!" He said as he stared down at the hybrid man who was already limp.

Due to his rage, he accidentally twisted the staff, causing the zombie's neck to crack.

Croco and Maximo shivered from the sudden pressure that Nile had emitted.

Fortunately, it didn't last long as the Instant Adapter Talent calmed him down.

He breathed heavily as he let go of the Hybrid's head. The Hybrid fell down to the ground limp. It was already dead.

The staff with the glove glowed red as it transformed back into a ring.

However, a moment later, it glowed again and transformed into a spear.

PENG!

The spear made a buzz as Nile stabbed down and forcefully embedded the spear into the Hybrid's head. The two-meter long spear only had a meter left exposed above the ground as the other half was lodged deeply to the floor.

He tapped Maximo's belly to let the animal close in towards the Hybrid's body. He extended his hand and pulled the spear from the ground.

Blood streamed out like a fountain the moment the spear was pulled out from the ground.

As if it wasn't enough to warrant its death, the Weapon of Change glowed with red and transformed again into another weapon.
