Chapter 240: System Update
Chapter 240: System Update
Everyone in the room went silent for a moment as Darwin looked at his customers, who were looking dazed.
Nonetheless, he was already used to seeing such things since he was always dealing with Foreign Survivors…
It seemed weird at first, but he was already used to this phenomenon.
[ Mark Sol: Raze… Do you have a boyfriend? ]
"…" Shane and the others were a bit amused by this question but Raze frowned at and shook her head slightly.
Anyway, the chat continued.
[ Galatea: Do you plan on reselling, Raze? How much for the Normal Recruitment Stones? ]
[ Oliver: Raze… Which merchant is it? Can you introduce me to them? I need a Talent Expansion Scroll. Can you ask if he has one? ]
[ Ves: Our Ember Order Clan was also visited by an old merchant. Unfortunately, one of our members fired an arrow at his feat while he was waiting to meet the Leader of the shelter and left. We could no longer find him. I think you've met the one my stupid soldier chased away, huh? ]
[ Galatea: Please send me a private message for the prices. You can take a commission fee. Let's just do a trade later. I need Normal Recruitment Stones. ]
[ Hannah: Don't buy them Raze. The price is not important, they're just mouths to feed. Recruiting people through those stones wasn't ideal since they might turn against you if you don't feed them. We all know about food scarcity, so think about it carefully. ]
[ Travis: I think that Normal Recruitment Stones shouldn't be worth more than a hundred Zombie Cores, while the Special Recruitment Stones should be about 150 to 200 Zombie Cores. ]
[ Raze: Thank you, Travis. For the others, thanks for replying, and I'll consider your advice. ]
"Ugh…" Raze wryly smiled after seeing that aside from Travis, there were no other helpful replies. She didn't really need their replies and only wanted answers like Travis.
'But why is this person always online? Does he have nothing to do?' Raze mused as she realized that whenever she opened her Regional Chat, this person was always there trying to recruit people or show how great his clan was.
As expected, as soon as Raze sent her reply, Travis responded.
[ Travis: You're welcome, Raze… We have recruited one of the best informants just today. He's really good and knows plenty of things on the continent. Do you want to join us? I still have one more open spot for you. Let's survive this Zombie Apocalypse together! ]
At this time, Raze and the others just closed the message board.
Anyway, if what Travis said was right, then the prices of the old man were indeed acceptable.
"Ahem… Sorry for that, Sir Darwin… Can you please continue introducing the other Recruitment Stones?" Shane said as he gestured for the old merchant to continue.
"Of course… The next will be the Master Recruitment Stone… These stones were known for summoning seasoned veterans and skilled practitioners in various fields. It's quite similar to the Rare Recruitment Stone, but the people brought by these stones were better… You can think of them as 20 to 30 levels higher than the ones recruited from the Rare Recruitment Stones.
Furthermore, these normally would normally have their weapons and tools with them, unlike the ones in the Rare Stones who only had their clothes after being recruited."

Darwin explained. He seemed to be better than the Apocalypse system when explaining things.
"This is only 500 Zombie Cores and I'll only offer this price to you because of your hospitality when receiving me." Darwin said with a smile.
Then, he introduced the Epic Recruitment Stone—the similar item that recruited Monk Chaloem.
It was quite expensive even with its discounted price since it was worth 1,200 Zombie Cores. That was certainly expensive but was probably worth it.
Just like what Shane knew about it, it could summon warriors, strategists, and leaders of commerce alike. Their loyalty points were usually high at the start, but it could easily go down if the person they followed had ideals that greatly contradicted their nature… At the very least, it guarantees a Summon with amazing talent!
Finally, they thought that Darwin would show them the Heroic Recruitment Stone. They believed that the white Recruitment Stone was like the one that Shane used to summon Shinja…
However, they were all surprised to know the truth.
It was actually a Zombie Recruitment Stone!
"Zombie Recruitment Stone? Why do you even have that?" Shane and the others commented.
"Is it for practicing? Can we use our skills in the Zombies and advance their level faster?" Raze asked as she recalled that her Survivor Skills were only at level 3 or 5 while Shane's recruits mostly have level 10 or maxed skills.
The only thing that comforted her was the fact that with Roan's help, her Skill Limit wasn't just level 10 but level 15.
"Who would buy this thing?" Kael muttered in surprise.
"Can we actually recruit them with these stones? Will they be able to fight for us? That's interesting…" Tessa added as she couldn't help but imagine summoning a Tyrant Zombie and controlling it to fight for them!
As Shane and the others were curious about this Zombie Recruitment Stone, a message from the System interrupted their thoughts. All Foreign Survivors on the Continent received the same message!
