Chapter 80: Protect Yiling (7)
Whilst Hu Jiaojiao had her internal conflict, the school bell rang.
It’s doomed, Hu Jiaojiao thought.
Hu Jiaojiao clenched her teeth before she said, “Jian Yiling, I’m ready! I can call the police at any time!”
Hu Jiaojiao had already typed in the phone number. The only thing that was left for her to do was to press the dial.
It was evident that she was quite nervous.
However, Jian Yiling appeared to look indifferent about the situation. There was no expression on her face. She didn’t appear any different from how she usually looked.
Hu Jiaojiao couldn’t help but admire Jian Yiling.
Jian Yiling was so calm! If this had happened to her, she would be crying by now!
This was definitely not something that she could learn!
Jian Yiling and Hu Jiaojiao walked together to the school gates. Before they had reached the gates, Jian Yiling met Cheng Yi who had come to pick her up.
He wore casual clothes that were gray in color and gold-rimmed glasses. The way he presented himself was refined and gentle.
When Jian Yiling saw Cheng Yi, doubt and confusion showed up in her eyes.
She... She had only requested for two security guards.
Cheng Yi smiled warmly at Jian Yiling. It appeared as though he was her elder brother. He began to recount the current situation to her, “The mess at the gates has been cleared up. You can rest assured.”
Leave the fighting to Luo Xiuen. He was just responsible for sending Yiling home.
“Why? Why are you here?” Jian Yiling asked. She raised her head and looked at him in confusion.
Jian Yiling didn’t understand. She asked for two security guards. Why was Cheng Yi here?
He... He should be quite busy.
“You got into trouble. That’s why I came over!” Cheng Yi replied. When he looked at Jian Yiling’s small and cute appearance, he couldn’t help but laugh.
From Cheng Yi’s point of view, it was completely normal for him to be here.
If anyone else in the research institution was in trouble, he’d rush over as well.
Of course, that excluded Luo Xiuen.
As Cheng Yi replied quite naturally, Jian Yiling couldn’t help but stare at Cheng Yi for a little while longer.
In the time that Jian Yiling stared blankly at Cheng Yi, Cheng Yi had walked up to her and took her backpack. He carried the backpack in his hand.
The backpack of a highschool student was quite heavy. Although Jian Yiling didn’t carry a lot of books, the backpack still appeared to take quite a toll on her small body.
Hu Jiaojiao had been standing beside Jian Yiling. Her face appeared to be quite confused as she wondered who was the man standing in front of her.
After she thought about it for a bit more, she came to the conclusion that the man was most likely Jian Yiling’s brother.
Hu Jiaojiao had heard that Jian Yiling had several older brothers. The man standing in front of her was probably one of them.
If Jian Yiling’s family had arrived, then the trouble at the school gates was probably dealt with right?
However, for safety measures, Hu Jiaojiao still grabbed onto her mobile phone. She was ready to call the police at any moment.
Cheng Yi led Jian Yiling out of the school gates. When they arrived there, Jian Yiling and Hu Jiaojiao saw four men lying on the ground.
Amongst them was the man who had confessed to Jian Yiling.
The situation was different from what they had expected.
“W-what? What’s happening?” Hu Jiaojiao asked in shock.
Hu Jiaojiao got scared quite easily. When she saw the situation, her thumb trembled and she almost pressed down on the dial button.
“It’s okay. They’re one of us,” Cheng Yi explained.
It was quite understandable for a girl to be frightened considering the scene in front of her. Sister En was quite scary.
One of us... Then it shouldn’t be dangerous right? Hu Jiaojiao breathed a sigh of relief. She finally removed the number that she had dialed in.
After recovering from her shock, Hu Jiaojiao’s attention was immediately drawn to Luo Xiuen.
This was the first time that she had seen a woman fight against four men.
In front of her, four of them looked like fledglings.
This... This... This was way too cool!
