Chapter 147: Heading to Laras house
Chapter 147: Heading to Laras house
The City of Life was always filled with the dless bustle of activity in the morning. Its grand streets were crowded with hovering cars, flying at regulated speeds along neatly organized aerial routes.
Among the swarm of vehicles, a luxury car moved elegantly, swiftly maneuvering past other vehicles without obstruction. The car was a gleaming black, equipped with state-of-the-art technology that allowed for automatic navigation and the ability to fly at certain altitudes.
Inside the car sat two wom in the back seat, while a man dressed in a neat black suit drove at the front. He was Nita's private driver, his skills beyond question. Every movemt he made reflected expertise—smoothly avoiding traffic and taking the quickest routes to their destination.
"Princess Nita, we will arrive at Miss Laras' house in a few minutes," Nayla said softly, her eyes fixed on the tablet in her hand. The tablet was filled with notes on the agda she needed to complete today. Her fingers deftly tapped several points on her daily timeline, suring that everything was well organized.
Nita, sitting beside her, responded briefly, "Okay," while she continued to scroll through the advanced smartphone in her hand. The technology on this device far surpassed regular phones, equipped with an interactive holographic scre.
At the momt, Nita was browsing a social media app, scrolling through some trding posts. Her sharp black eyes observed the details of the images appearing on her feed, occasionally smiling slightly at the commts accompanying the photos.
Earlier that morning, Nita and Lein had parted ways after having breakfast together. Lein decided to explore various parts of the city to monitor the latest developmts. Meanwhile, Nita had a class she needed to attd. However, before heading to campus, she had promised her frid Laras to stop by first and take her a the campus.
They had planned this in advance, and Nita didn't want to disappoint Laras, whom she considered an older sister.
The hovering car continued to glide among the tall buildings of the City of Life. This city was not only grand but also futuristic—with towering structures adorned with massive holographic scres displaying ads for the latest products, important news, and governmt messages. On the streets, people from various walks of life were busy with their respective activities.
In the air, several hovering cars of various shapes and sizes—from public to private vehicles—moved at differt speeds on the regulated lanes.
The driver in the front seat appeared focused, driving the car with extraordinary skill. As Nita's private driver, he had undergone rigorous training and strict selection, so his driving skills were unquestionable. Every turn was smooth, and every lane change was executed with perfect precision, providing maximum comfort for Nita and Nayla, who were seated in the back.
"Nayla, what do you think?" Nita suddly asked, turning to Nayla and showing her the scre of her phone. "Should we participate in a competition like this sometime?"
Nayla raised her eyebrows slightly, th glanced at Nita's phone scre. It displayed photos of a group of young people celebrating their victory after winning a survival test competition.
The most striking photo featured a young man dressed in luxurious attire, holding a gold bow in his hand, standing proudly on the first-place podium. Next to him, the second and third-place winners were se holding their prize boards.
"Hmm… we could, Princess," Nayla replied calmly after a momt of consideration. "The Alliance has already participated in two previous waves of this competition. But it would look a bit odd if you, the sister of the owner of the World Market Trade Alliance, took part in such an easy test."
Nita smiled at Nayla's response. She glanced at her phone scre again before saying, "You're right. If I joined, first place would be mine without a doubt."
Nita's statemt was not an exaggeration. As Lein's sister, Nita had reached Tier-3, an achievemt attained by only a select few at this stage. Besides herself, Lein, and the core members, no other member had reached that level. It required an extraordinary amount of experice points to reach level 30 and undertake the promotion mission to Tier-3.
However, the power gained was well worth the challge.
With her abilities, Nita could defeat most of the alliance members with a single simple move, without much effort. Of course, this did not apply to other core members who also possessed comparable strgth.
"Hmm… does the Princess want to become ev more famous? You are already very well known, Princess," Nayla said admiringly. She greatly respected Nita, not just because of her status but also due to her kind and fridly personality.
However, Nayla realized one thing about Nita—ev though she was already widely recognized, she still had the desire to gain more atttion, both from those a her and from the outside world.
Nita gave a faint smile, looking out the car window. The towering buildings along the road, the neon lights adorning the corners of the city, and the orderly hovering traffic all reflected the progress and luxury of the City of Life.
"You're right... everyone knows me…"
"My task now is to help my brother protect and develop the city," Nita said, recalling a conversation she had with Lein about the city's developmt.
Lein didn't want the same problems that plagued their previous world to happ here—poverty, disease, violce, and other bad actions. They had already expericed some of these issues, such as poverty and illness. Lein knew how hard it was to survive; ev finding a job in their own country was extremely difficult.
In their rect discussions, Lein expressed his desire for the City of Life to provide all sorts of resources that could be processed by its residts. The City of Life had to provide job opportunities, so as long as someone had the will to live, they could work for themselves.
Nita fully agreed with her brother's idea. Giv their abundant resources, it was not impossible to realize such a grand vision.
