First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 761: Finally Found

Chapter 761: Finally Found

Mira's plan was to lure her sister in with promises of wings in order to get her to take this learning experience more seriously.

If she stopped getting distracted, and didn't get hit for the whole rest of the exercise, then Mira promised that she would give her wings instead of their father.

Now, Courtney didn't need any more motivation to keep her head on straight.

She moved through the rest of the cavern in a much more dignified fashion than before.

Though she did have some close calls and slip ups, she successfully avoided getting hit.

Finally, Courtney cut down the last gargoyle in their path and the group arrived inside of a ginormous underground chasm.

They had to be more than three hundred meters underground at this point... and it was clear to see why they might've needed so much space.

Two enormous statues were located in the chasm with them.

One was a giant divine bird- calcified in dark black stone like cooled lava.

The other was...

"Is that a god damned dinosaur...?" Courtney's jaw dropped.

Her surprise was completely understandable.

A large statue of a tyrannosaurus-like creature was coiled around the phoenix.

It's long horns pierced the cavern ceiling above and gave it a much more fearsome look than something one would see on a movie screen or an archeological textbook.

Yemaya and Yemaja stepped around their stunned sister and floated up towards the heads of the two creatures.

The both of them placed their hands on the statues at the same time and closed their eyes.

A pulse of energy left their palms and traveled along the entirety of the statues.

Chunks of rubble began falling away from the 'statues' and revealing organic material underneath.

Eventually, the 'statues' shook themselves awake, and let out audible, lumbering roars.

Eris tucked in a very exhausted and unconscious Izanami into bed.

It made her slightly sad to see another unconscious family member in their home.

Since Asmodeus' mother Igrat fell into a coma a few millennia ago, it had been a reoccurring theme of worry for everyone at home.

She just hoped that this situation wouldn't persist quite as long as that one had...they still didn't know when she was going to wake up.

Eris exited Izanami's room silently and closed the door behind her.

Only to yelp loudly when her newest houseguest lunged at her from the shadows.

"Eris-Poohhh!!!"

"N-Nyx! What are you doing??" Eris tried to peel the overly clingy night mother off of her scales.

"I've been waiting forever to get you alone!"

"I'm already married, you wench!"

"N-Not like that! Well... I'm down for a spicy little affair if you ar-"

"I am going to poke you in the eyes!!"

"Okay, okay, I'm just joking! ...Kinda."

"NYX!"

"Fine, fine! I only came here because I wanted to talk to you about my man problems!"

Eris froze up for a moment and tried to reject that offer as politely as she could.

"...Do not take this personally, but I think that I would rather you try to make passes at me again."

Nyx perked up. "Are you certain? My new bedroom is just down the hall from your-"

"No, forget I said anything." Eris shook her head.

Nyx pouted like a ten billion year old toddler- making Eris sigh even further.

This particular conversation was one that she had endured a million and one times before.

As the personification of love and nature, she was frequently sought after by other deities for romantic advice.

But the only problem with that was, Eris couldn't really give deities advice.

Her love was... effortless. It was complex, thrilling, and fulfilling and satisfying all in one, but Eris couldn't exactly tell anyone how to get what she had-which was what they all wanted.

She had just gotten very lucky to have the relationships that she had with Abaddon, and all of the other wives too.

They all cared about each other the same amount and put the same amount of effort forth into their family and each other. Which was rare.

So it was hard for her to give other gods advice because her answers were usually a bit more simplistic than what people actually wanted from her.

Regardless, there is no single divine answer when it comes to matters of love. Be it divine or mundane.

But still, Eris decided to give it one more try.

"Maybe the burden to fix things doesn't lie with you, my friend. Perhaps you could just use this time to focus on healing yourself and decide what you actually want going forward."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..?"

"Just tell me how to get my man back and make him stop looking at other beings that aren't me!"

*Sigh.*

Eris started to abandon Nyx in the hallway when she suddenly smiled to herself happily.

"What's wrong with you? Thinking about my proposal again?" Nyx raised a brow.

"…" Eris finally poked her friend in the eye.

"Ow! You could have just said no!"

Eris teleported away while Nyx was doubled over holding her eye socket.

She reappeared outside of another door in the house and nearly ran smack into a flushed, escaping Thrudd.

"Hi, sweetie. Going somewhere?" Eris smiled knowingly.

Thrudd shook her head so hard that Eris was honestly worried about it flying off.

A deep red blush was present on her cheeks and a shy, embarrassed look was written all over her pretty face.

"S-Sorry, mom, I was just going to, uhh... t-to pee."

"...Baby, you don't-"

"I was feeling curious about having a physical body so I wanted to try new things, please don't shame me for it!"

Thrudd turned into a bolt of lightning and ran down the hallway; far out of Eris' sight.

The nature goddess laughed cutely as she stepped inside of Courtney's bedroom.

There, she found three of her daughters surrounding two complete strangers.

One was an asian man with long black hair and a tattoo of a majestic phoenix on the side of his neck.

The other was a completely different figure- being a woman who was almost a tall as most adult Nevi'im.

She had deep, chocolate skin that was draped over a powerfully muscular physique. Her hair was done in long, thick dreadlocks that came down her body like grey ropes.

Her red eyes had a sort of tired, dopey-looking expression as if she were always either half-way asleep, or unwilling to think for too long for fear of injuring her brain.

Both individuals seemed to be completely naked and were covered only by blankets.

"Hey, mom." Yemaya waived. "We brought guests~"

"I can see that, sweetheart." Eris smiled. "Are you going to introduce me to the one who your sister has fallen in love with, or should I do that myself?"
